After I input the word "OK" on my cellphone, a portal which directly connects to MIDAS headquarters emerged in front of me.

"I really wonder how they respond so fast."

I said those words as I enter the portal.

Well, passing through portals make you nauseate, like riding a roller coaster. Your sense of equilibrium is ineffective since portals pass through space, which has no gravity. The only thing is that you won't feel the loss of air during the passage since it also sucks up enough air to consume during the transfer.

Oh, before I forgot,one thing I hate of crossing via portals is that.... the word "Safe Landing" is not applicable for portals made by magicians.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!"

And before I know it, I was falling from the sky, with concrete as my landing point.

"What the hell is thisssss!!! At least give me some parachute!!!"

So this is what skydivers feel during free fall. Not that I care for that at this moment!

"Sh*t! This is why I dont want to get involved with these kind of people!"

As I raised a complain, I started to chant a magic incantation.

"Decelerate!"

I used Decelerate on myself to soften my landing.

"Urgh."

Damn, Decelerate use too much of my mana. Well, its just a little compensation for slowing down time.

"Bravo~! What a splendid landing~! as expected of "Deus Ex Machina"~!"

"Attaching another weird title to me. Hurry up and give me the details of the mission or else are you playing a prank on me?"

I angrily asked the person who just welcomed me. This person is the chief of MIDAS, Innocentus Grigory. His outer appearance compliments with his unexplainable personality. His whole face looks like some fairy psycho antagonist from a novel I read, Long shoulder-length hair, creepy smile, and paired with glasses. If it was me, I hate to have any connections with this person. I'm being repetitive? Well, I'm just saying out my own thoughts since I really hate this annoying person.

We entered the MIDAS headquarters. From the outside, it looks like a church. Its height is almost 25 metes and its width is 50 meters. it looks like a normal church inside-out yet it has 4 underground floor that serves as their base of which is approximately 100 square meters each.

The first floor is for security passageway. Before entering the base, you need to pass through their state-of-the-art security measures to prevent intruders. Second floor is for training of new magicians and their accomodations. Missions and Requests are also located in this floor. Third floor is for experimentation which only higher-ups of MIDAS could only access. Well, I'm an exception since the Chief permits me to enter.

As we enter the main lab on the 3rd floor, the Chief started to speak.

"Well, jokes aside~, Here."

He tossed a tablet terminal to me.
