Chapter 48: Mila
The black spider legs were long and slender, at least a hundred feet in length, and on those legs was a beautiful black metal gleam that whispered of their indestructibility. Slowly, those eight appendages crawled out of the insides of the enormous black heart. The spider too was gigantic, but compared to the size of even one of the half hearts it was but an insect. Well, it was an insect…
Mila gazed up at the spider, never quite getting used to its size nor its appearance. While they of course rarely met over the years, it was always a wonder to look at. On the spider’s head were eight hundred and eighty-eight eyes, glowing white with an ethereal like glow. The spider’s figure was transient and ephemeral, as if its existence was not properly held down by reality. Its body was like a multidimensional object, constantly creating fleeting images of itself that faded away into the surrounding space-time.
In the next moment, a feminine voice that was both divine and demonic permeated throughout the void, into every material object possible in space. The voice did not seem to come out of the spider’s mouth. While the voice rang through the vacant space, it was also as if the voice had come out of existence from space itself.
“The time is upon us.”
“Your tricks have brought fruitful aid. A web of lies designed to bring us a great amount of sacrifices never seen before. In this regard of deceit, I commend you servant.”
“Thank you, master.”
The demonic white haired woman bowed to the enormous spider, the monster seeing this, raised her head in both approval and conceit.
“Master?”
“What is your query, servant? There must be reason for why you have come here in your demonic form. While it pleases me what I have made of you, it disrupts my slumber.”
“After all of this is done…will you reward me with that supreme soul technique?”
“...”
A long moment of silence took place before the spider’s voice was heard once again. Mila looked down as she sent forward her request, hoping that the void spider would agree. Despite the pure significance of the plea to her heart, she was not nervous, agitated nor even hopeful. Mila’s face…oddly seemed to be without emotion.
“Of course, servant. Was that not our agreement years ago?”
“Thank you, master.”
The spider turned from Mila, preparing itself to dive into the colossal black heart once again. The white haired demon also turned her back to walk away, but before she could, the malevolent voice of the spider rang out once again.
“I take it your son was watching me.”
A look of confusion appeared on Mila’s face as she swung her head back to look at the vile beast.
“If he is present when I devour the hundred million souls, then take it as one more spirit entering my being.”

Mila wished to say something but instead she bit her tongue so the words would not escape her. The bite was so hard that her tongue was gnawed apart from her teeth. Luckily, it was quickly regenerating.
“What, servant? You dare to speak ill words towards me?! You dare to even harbor ill will towards me!?”
The void spider raged. Everything within Mila’s vision started to shake and even collapse at the monstrosity’s wrath. Before it could continue its tantrum further however, it started to scream in agony.
WRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!
The wrathful screams of the spider empress quickly devolved into the tortured squeals of a base animal, particularly one being butchered alive.
WHOOOOSH!!!
Heavy storms of wind came afterwards, right out of the spider’s mouth as it was allowed a brief respite from the immense pain, though, not for long.
The spider squealed again and the ephemeral quality of the transcendent creature’s body quickly started to fade, no longer producing three dimensional vibrational images of itself. That single quality proved the direness of the creature’s circumstances. The spider was losing its existential superiority, already brought down to the level of the densest physical plane. Yet even that was not the end.
The spider’s sinister yet immensely graceful and beautiful body was starting to rot. Its flesh wrought with a thousand diseases and the smell of death started to permeate its once vitality filled body. Madly, it flung four of its gigantic and long legs towards the air, before clawing down in a pathetic and desperate attempt to enter the black heart.
That was all that Mila saw before a cruel smile flashed on her face. Walking back into the hallway, she enjoyed each and everyone second of that thing burrowing into the heart for survival. Eventually she got so far that the sounds completely faded, and her figure disappeared from the vacant void of the monster’s body.
Inside the black heart, the spider was madly devouring the flesh and souls of thousands of cocooned human beings, whilst at the same time rubbing itself on the dead flesh of the eldritch monstrosity. The scene was not unlike a pig rolling itself in shit. The cosmic horror’s dead flesh held elements to fight off the trinity union curse, albeit only for a very short amount of time.
It had been millions of years and it was still stuck inside this cosmic abomination's flesh. Despite such an amount of time however, its wrath towards the one who put her in such a cursed fate, never went away. Instead it grew stronger and stronger, and her determination to devour the hundred million souls of that damned orb became an obsession that lingered in her mind for every second that passed. Every second for millions and millions of years, and luckily, she did not have to wait much longer…
…
Mila reached the end of the “hallway” and what met her was a wall of flesh. This one however, was fresh and throbbing. At this obstruction she reached towards her mouth, and shoved her hand down her throat. The hand grasped at something inside her stomach, and skillfully she pulled out a red sinister dagger that looked like it was made out of blood itself. With one hand on the handle, her other hand grasped the sharp blade and the sharp cut let her blood flow. A high pitched, almost joyful sound rang out and in the next moment the blood blade started to vibrate intensely.
Mila pointed at the wall of flesh, and in the next moment, blood and fire fused into a sinister magic that destroyed a path forwards. As the demonic woman reached the end of the path out of the enormous beast, she looked back to see the path she opened quickly enclosing. The heavy pounds of flesh regenerating as if bloodflame did not just tore open hundreds of miles through its body.
Finally, she had reached home. Mila found herself in a cavern system that she quickly and easily navigated. Heading towards a steel door, she opened it and what welcomed her was an altar. An altar consisting of candles, pictures, flowers, and various foods.
It was a sort of memorial shrine to her son and husband. On one side was a red candle, sacks of potatoes, sunflowers and a picture of Quin with her mother. On the other side, was a blue candle, plain uncooked rice, roses, and a picture of her husband and her holding a just born babe.
Kneeling towards the altar, her demonic form quickly evaporated into blobs of darkness that sunk into the shadows. What was left was a humble woman in commoner clothes. A simple mistress left behind by her husband and her son. No, that was wrong. They were always near her. Even if one of them had lost his body and the other lost his mind.
Slowly she put her head down towards the altar, closing her eyes and drowning herself in her longing for them. Tears came out that soaked the fresh roses but salted the foods offered to them. The love she felt for them was only matched by how dearly she missed them. The woman would do anything to bring back her family. Whether that act was to butcher hundreds of thousands, experiment on young children or sell her soul to a demon, she would bring them back.
And soon, she would do all of that. The woman wiped the tears that wet her face and stood up with even more resolve. Soon, she was about to do something disastrous that would have all the empires and kingdoms looking towards this simple slave city. Mila looked one more time at the altar, and sent a silent prayer. To which god she prayed to and which one would answer, only time would tell.
The simple brunette woman turned her back from the altar, and turned her focus towards the tumultuous present. Her brown chestnut hair turning into eerie white and her smooth brown skin turned to gray once again. The woman disappeared into the shadows and reappeared behind a gigantic magical steel door.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The door had markings on it, carved from an especially sharp dagger. It read, “Alex.”
“Husband…it will all become better soon…”
The woman opened the massive steel door…
