Chapter 7 - Farewell, Academy!

Chapter 7 - Farewell, Academy!

The only thing around us was clouds and a carpet in which we sat on. The man, rather, god, in front of me was Solus, the God of the Sun and the acting Overgod, a being that oversees the other gods. This Overgod is named Jacob, and apparently, that was me. I looked up at Solus once more, confusion welling inside me.

"Overgod Jacob, huh? I transferred my memories to this body to live peacefully?" I asked. Solus had told me that I had transferred my memories to this body to live happily and have fun.

"Yes, Overgod. You informed me about this decision before you went to the mortal realm, and now you are here, after almost dying," Solus said plainly.

"Okay, well, first, please call me Kas. Second, will I be okay?"

"Yes, in fact, I believe you have become stronger, from Rank B to Rank S. Your mana is almost all returned to you due to being here. If you did not have a god's touch, you'd have been evaporated the moment you came here."

"Hm? Ranks? I thought that was potential?"

"Potential is the rank you are able to achieve. With this, I must add that you are the fastest growing human of all time. Congratulations."

"That's cool, now, is there any way for me to get a few spells that will be useful to me? I'm currently running off of hazy memories, and then I had gotten whatever that spell was. I dislike almost dying to that spell, so I need powerful ones that won't kill me."

"Hm, yes, I will unseal a few memories. The spells you will receive are [Divine Manipulation of Time and Space], [Unseal], [Infinite Sealing], [Divine Contracts], some evolved fire magic spells, an advanced wind spell, and a few others," he stated, proceeding to snap his finger. After he did that, my head got a bit dizzy and I learned about all the spells I had gotten. Firstly, I apparently could now rewind and accelerate time as I please, without messing with the 'continuum' as it is called. It would likely cost a lot of mana, however, so I would use it sparingly. Next, [Unseal] was used to, as the name says, unseal anything. This is not very useful at the moment, but it's good to have. The next one is apparently the best sealing technique the world has to offer. I'm not sure I'll use it, but it's also good to have. For some reason, I have no idea what [Divine Contracts] does, so I pushed it aside for now. The rest of the spells were pretty basic, so I just nodded my head and continued.

"Thank you, Solus. I'll be sure to reward you somehow when I get my memories back," I stated, and he looked like a dog getting a bone. I laughed a little and then waited for him to continue.

"Oh, yes, and if you do reward me, please make sure it's my own world! Anyway, I'll be sending you back now. Please enjoy the gifts, and use them sparingly, as the sealing and time and space ones are very, very hard to use because of what they require. Enjoy your 3 best spells, as well as your other magic."

"I will, thank you!"

I said the final line as everything went black, and woke up to a wooden roof. Next to me, a girl was on a chair looking at me. This girl was the one I had saved earlier.

"You're awake!" She said as she hugged me, "I was worried for you."

If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

I was a bit startled by the sudden tackle, and then I accepted her hug. The girl was still in her uniform and her red hair still looked nice. I felt warmth in my heart because of someone being this kind to me.

"Don't worry about me, I'm not dying to some mana deprivation," I said, a smile on my face, "actually, now that I think about it, what is your name?"

She let go, and I was a little sad, but I let her go.

"Oh, right, we haven't even exchanged names. My name is Emily Gray, the daughter of a professor that works here. Nice to meet you."

"You too," I replied. I was distracted, though. I felt that this school had nothing more to offer, really. I felt like I wanted to leave it and go on my adventures with the Adventurer's Guild.

I had a lot to think about, so I decided to tell her I needed to speak with the Headmaster, and went to his office, fully recovered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I knocked on the Headmaster's office door, fear creeping through my boots. I had never talked to him without some other people watching before or at his office. It was a new experience, and I wondered if he'd allow me in.
"Come in," he stated.
So I did, and when I did, he was full-deep on writing something. It seemed important, so I felt bad.
His office was nothing to scoff at. It was a very fancy room for this time. It sported the same marble flooring and walls as the other classrooms, but the room itself was huge. It had a second story, and it also had an area for meetings, reading, and then his desk. I admired his office and then walked toward his desk which was in front of a large window.
"Kas Ravenwood, the hero that saved my life, what could I possibly do for you?" He said without sarcasm as he looked up from the paper he was looking at.
"I had plans to leave the school, as I felt that this school had nothing else to offer for me. I am sorry for this sudden intrusion just say I would be leaving, but I must go where I want to go."
"Yes, and uh, you remember that you're 2 years old, right?"
"I am 3, but I can probably change that soon, anyway."
He looked at me from the seat he was in, with eyes that looked like they were piercing my soul.
"I can do that for you, as you aren't really 3, are you?"
"With technicalities, no."
"Yes, technicalities, Overgod."
I was startled for a minute and then regained my composure.
"How did you know?"
"Well, my personal magic allows me to see your status without any secrets. You are strong, I can give you that."
I sighed in defeat.
"I guess, but I still have no memories of being this 'Overgod' person."
"I also guessed that, so no worries. Your secret is safe with me, but many others still seek your head. Be careful. You are relieved of school as of this moment, and I'll complete the paperwork for you to leave now."
In less than 5 minutes, a paper that said 'Early Graduation Form' at the top.
"Graduated? Hm, I guess that works," I said with a bit of confusion.
"Yes, otherwise you would have to stay if I didn't do that, so you can be off now. Have a safe adventure, Kas. May your gods protect you," he said, "Oh, and also."
I tilted my head.
"Here's some money to be able to get an inn room and food for a long time. Don't worry, this is nothing for me," he stated happily.
I winced as I saw that it contained 1 platinum coin. A platinum coin was able to get you several mansions and still have a lot left over., and there are 100 gold coins in a platinum coin, so that should give you an idea of how much it is.
With that, I had finally exited and completed my time at the Academy of Solus. Without informing anyone, I had left the school and bought a temporary inn room with the money I had been given by the Headmaster.
