The sight of the blue box makes you shudder. You're having trouble distinguishing between what was a dream and what was reality. You are not covered in blood; and you're somewhat sure that the wolf wasn't real.
But what if the dream was an omen, your unconscious trying to warn you against the System?
When you finally start reading, the experience is spectacularly anti-climactic.

[Congratulations! You have completed the quest:
Choose A Class (1/1)]
"Oh, right," you murmur to yourself. In the relief and then dread of being born-again, you had completely forgotten about the quest.
The blue box goes on:
[Rewards received
Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.
Title: The Reborn
Title: Stranger In A Strange Land
Title: Decisive Decider
Item: Shirt [Human, Starter, auto-equip]
Item: Pants [Human, Starter, auto-equip]]
This gives you pause.
You throw your head back and bellow: "Really, System?! A pair of lousy pants and a torn shirt were the best you could do?!"
Well, it is considerably better than the quest reward of [Never-Ending Nightmare], so there's that.
Of course, there's no reply. The rain stopped sometime during the night, and the forest around you seems a lot less sinister in the morning light than it did last night in the darkness.
You focus back on the blue box, and you notice something strange. You're looking right at it and seeing it completely clearly--only not with your eyes. It's there, right in front of you, superimposed over the forest landscape, but at the same time, on an entirely different plane than the tangible world around you.
If you take your attention from it, it disappears from view almost entirely. The only thing that's left behind are vague spectres at the edges of your vision, which always seem to allude you when you turn your eyes that way.
To bring the box back into view, you have to instead tune yourself to that other plane and look through your system sight, so to speak.

You groan. Aren't quests supposed to, you know, be epic or something?
