Another bright smile appeared on the Chu Hai’s face, seriously this guy is really scheming something and I might not like it.

 “So as I mentioned my son is dead, and I am in need of a son now don’t i?  In order to keep everything on a hush hush basis I need a body double that’s where you come in. based on what you told me It’s probably your shot at a decent life”

he paused before continuing

“I am not going to sugarcoat it, nor am I going to lie to you there are certain requirements for. One you will have to succeed in the path of a military officer which in terms mean you will have to enlist and be deployed, oh by the way how old are you?”

“14 years old” I answered nonchalantly while shrugging my shoulders

With a loud delighted laughter Chu Hai said

“The heavens have not forsaken me instead they have blessed me with an unbelievable treasure HAHAHAHA”

 It took him a little while to recover his cool and charismatic aura from then he said

“Ok sorry about that, now that we have a good starting point you will be enlisting whithin the next 2 years or so since the age for new recruits is 16 years old in this continent, but that is as a basic foot soldier”

he smiled before continuing again

“but if you want to start as an officer you would have to attend the military academy or if a member of your immediate family is a great general and you agree to serve under him/her, any questions?”

After thinking and calculating the pros and cons of his proposition which was too good to be true, I begin asking him certain questions

“Yea a few for starter this academy you mentioned,  wouldn’t it be weird if I start attending now and leave after one year?”

“No the academy as a 5 year curriculum, but for Nobles and certain key figure in military or political circles they’re family members can attend for one year.  if they want and still graduate with full honors and credit with a diploma and the reason is simple if the family of the new student provides efficient documents proving that the student has undergone the required materials that were taught in the first 4 years,  and also with a physical, strategic, and  martial arts test results they will be admitted without a fuss”

 He was still smiling as if he knew what id asked for since the beginning 

 “I see so let say I agree with you on this wouldn’t it be weird if I just show up and don’t remember nothing about my surrounding or the people in my life”

“No and the simple reason is my son was not only a wastrel but retard to boot. he was really quiet and had no friends and no social contact with people. he would only stay in his room reading book also he never spoke a word since his birth, and when he finally had the courage to leave is room he used a drug to have his way with a local woman and took her to this cabin that we used to go fishing in when I was off duty”

 “I see” I said while in deep thoughts

“Quite frankly a few people forgot that I even had a son” he said as he shrugs

“Deal I agree on your proposal” I cut him off and voiced my agreement

“HAHAHAHA GOOD very good I see you are also very smart when making a deal. Anyway let’s go and get ready to leave this place”

As we make our way towards the cabin Chu Hai was leading the way, we passed by a stretch of grass with an area that looked like it has recently been dug up and then refilled with dirt. 

At that particular moment Chu Hai’s face was filled with a sad and painful expression as if he was being stabbed in the heart and in a mere seconds it was quickly replaced by complete disdain

“I see he must’ve buried his son’s body here” I thought while observing the situation.

We took a quick detour as Chu Hai approached a nearby bolder and picked some clothes, he then started getting dress

He put on a black CH'ANG P'AO with gold threads lining the edges and black trousers and a pair of boots with a pointed tip.

Around his neck he adorn a gold colored fur that reached his shoulders in length and wrapped around his entire neck.

He turned to me and handed me a set of clothes similar to the ones he was wearing with a slight difference in color.

 The CH'ANG P'AO was dark grey with black colored waves lining the edges and collar, the trousers were black and the boots were also dark grey and I was also handed a piece of fur which was also black.

‘”I don’t know if those will fit your build but here my son always used to wear baggy clothes, so I hope those can cover you up for the time being”

Luckily the clothes were a perfect fit its almost scary how good my fortune has been after coming to this world, after getting fully dressed we continued onwards towards our destination.

 After we left the area Chu Hai’s expression once again changed as if he was suddenly freed from all of his burdens and he adopted a different attitude more of a carefree one as if he wasn’t scared of anything not even a surprise attack or assassination attempt.

And as I was following behind while observing my surrounding with a more serious one just in case of an ambush since I wasn’t from around here.

Upon arriving at the cabin I noticed that it was quite simple which was completely unexpected for a man of his status

As we made our way we walked up the stair and he opens the heavy looking door and, after he walks in the interior comes into view, just like outside, the inside was lacking any luxurious décor, or any unnecessary bloating furniture.

On the right side was a desk, and on the left side a door leading to the storage room in the middle a table and 2 chairs and on the end of the hall was a bed and on that bed there was something amiss, something out of place, there was a young girl sleeping on the bed.
