The morning sun rise from the east, the early morning atmosphere was subtle and cool. A smirk was seen carved on R’s face, his appearance was reflecting the endeavor that he had to gone through. His eye was dead tired, releasing his grasp of the rope that held the logs together. He only said to her;

R then flop down to the ground, with a ‘thump’. Rather than dying he was currently sleeping. He was mentally exhausted due to pulling an all-night chopping wood and exterminating Rock monster routine.

Dragging R’s body into the shop, Faelwen then let him rest his tired mental capacity. Thou the body was not real in game the accumulation of mental stress would always end up the user to be fatigue.
Opening up his eye, R saw the ceiling that was full of wooden creation. He realizes he was sleeping inside Faelwen’s shop. Raising his body from the soft feather bedding, he saw the sun was already visible on the sky. The bolstering heat was menacing but still replicates the features of a typical tropical island.

Facing R, she then present her creation to him, R shows a bewildered look he never really expected her to give something out of the bat.

Riding his motorbike, Mera was heading to the main campus of Asakura University. At high speed, he rides along the suspended bridge that connect the mainland of Tokyo port with the Island of Asakura. Passing through the gate’s guard, he then proceeds to the main building. Even in the night, the campus was filled with students.
The university provides an all around facilities that was suitable for the student to live in. dormitories are readied for each and every one of the students there. The fact that Mera doesn’t live in the dormitories provided, show a deep hidden agenda between him and the dean.
Entering the elevator, he press the button 50th. It was a level specially renovated and place for the students of virtual reality course. Stepping his foot into uncharted territory, he silent walk to his designated location.
He passed a few empty auditorium and class, but that wasn’t he was going. The place he was going was in fact right in front of him. An automatic sliding door, the door would only open if scanned by the card ID possessed by the virtual reality student course.
Eyeing from outside, he saw several pods that was closed to hundred with monitors attached on top of it. a few people wearing lab coats was seen monitoring their progress through the monitor. It was certainly suspicious with the current set up that Mera was seeing right now.
Looking for a chance to enter the enclosure, he then heard footstep coming toward him. Quickly hide inside a room beside the Pod Hall, Mera notice it was one of those student who undergo the medical checkup through him.
Eyeing for the right time to enter, he then plan to enter as the student first act as the opener of the door. But a static was heard on his back, glancing behind him, he spotted a few screens indicating this was the security room.
Inside was one sleeping guardsmen who look dead tired and wont wake up any time sooner. Watching the screen, he notices the security within the area was pretty lax. Founding this opportunity, he grabs the security guard ID badge and went inside.
Noticing a lab coat rack just beside the sliding door, he takes one of them and wore it. Walking among the white pods, he watches their adventure through the monitor. Some were exploring dungeon and some were grinding their levels.
He then accidentally stumbles upon the 5-D beautiful student. Looking at the monitor, she was running around wearing tight fitting armor revealing her overly busty breast. On her hand was a giant great axe, with a swing of her axe monster around her turn to corpse. Her gaming ability was certainly up to the standard of being the best. He wouldn’t want to mess around with her in game.
After a while he arrived in a room that looks like a conference room. On the front was a whiteboard that was fill with words and diagram. Reading through it, it was a collection of quest and training ground for students to share with but one thing caught his eye. The word Eterna, every quest seem to mention Eterna, more like unable to find any source of information relating to Eterna.
At least Mera has found one small clue among the big puzzle that was hidden by the dean and this course. He then takes his leave after completing his objectives.
In front of his door step, the night that surrounds his apartment building was silent. It’s been a long time since he met one of the gorgeous tenants of this apartment. His bright colorful day greeted by mature woman in the morning was like a joyful past.
Mera was determined, he would wake up early tomorrow and hopefully he would accidentally invited to a home cooked breakfast. A cooked meal once a while would really warm his heart. Entering his apartment, he then completes the necessities before becoming naked to prepare himself for the game.
The naked thing was only a one time only during biometric registration but since Mera was more comfortable not wearing a thing he decided it was ok to go in just like that. Well there was no warning saying you cant be naked right.
Entering the pod, he then set the alarm in the pod to notify him after the real world time at 6.00 a.m. yes the pod came with an alarm application. The sleep like state does the body into a rest state but the mental was still being used. Resting in game was also crucial. With 5 more hours to spare he has one day and one hour time period in game. including today he has only 4 days left before he was released by the confinement period. The A.I then release it voice hinting the beginning.

COMMENCING REALITY WARP

Arriving in the virtual world, it was already dawn. His timing was perfect for training. Getting his spare of arrows from the generous Ailani, he then went toward his usual place. Like always he sets the dummy and takes his distanced.
Taking out his beginner bow he then prepared to begin training. About his new bow, he was still unable to use it due to being short 2 level. During the time he spends at rock monster area, he had gained another 2 point for STR and 2 point for VIT, he also raised his level to level 8. His skill was also raised remarkably.
Aiming his target he then release his arrow, the training continues until he reach the 5 hour mark. Training was good but resting was even more important for him. The overall training result him in gaining his maximum range of 20 meters without system guidance.
After training was done he then proceed to the beach tavern, it was like his new everyday routine. Training first and then relaxation time. He pass through Faelwen’s shop but taking a peek inside it seems quite empty, she must have gone outside gathering some material.
Resting on the lazy chair, he then slumbers as his eye went drowsy with the coolness of the ocean breeze. but before he can shut his eyes out, a scream could be heard from the ocean.
Trying to ignore the plea of help, R try to sleep amidst the gathering of nearby NPC to the beach side. He was disturb by the ruckus made. Out of patience he then went to see whats the commotion was all about.
From afar he could see a native girl alone on top of a wooden board with a panic face. He doesn’t seem to see what s the problem was but then he saw it. a big shark fin was seen emerge from the sea. The situation reeks of what you called a homage to Jaws. With his interest dies down he then walk away trying to find a better place to sleep.
As he walks away, his hand was then grab by someone. Turning back he saw an old man holding his hand with both of his arm pleading for R to save her. R smells a troublesome situation over here, he wouldn’t have anything to gain if he waste his arrows on a NPC. Refusing at first, the old man then kept pulling his arm begging him to save his one and only daughter.
‘Please dear wanderer, please help save my precious daughter. I notice you practicing your bow on the vacant land I would be grateful if you can help my daughter please!’
A pitiful old man, if gratefulness that he get it wouldn’t be R if he didn’t gain more than they offer. A window notification open up stating the quest criteria;

The reward was ludicrous, it wasn’t worth R’s time. Observing the old man carefully he then notice a necklace on his neck.
‘old man, what reward would I get if I help?’
‘eh? Please help my daughter first then I will give you the reward’
‘it wont be possible if you don’t give assure me of giving anything of higher value I would refuse to help’
‘what absurdity is this!! My child is on the verge of death and you are bargaining her life!’
‘suit yourself old man, I have a choice and so do you what will it be?’

The ocean predator nudges the wooden board trying to make the native girl fall. Seeing her daughter in a dire situation his angered toward the wanderer dissipates. The old man with a defeated look offer R the things that he want.
‘I gave in, what do you want I will give it to you as long as you save my daughter you hear me!!’’
‘my my old man quite a temper you have there, wouldn’t want to refuse your help again wouldn’t I’
‘urgh!’
‘haha don’t be alarm I was just joking, as the matter of fact since you are the chief of this town, I want a house with a veranda facing the ocean, is this within our agreement Chieftain?’
A sly smile was express by R, once his devil mode was on nothing could stop him. Flinched by the reward propose by R, the chieftain want to refuse it but.
‘how did you know im the chief?’
‘don’t ask too many question old man, the clock is ticking you wouldn’t want her to end up in the belly of a shark wouldn’t you?’
The old man could only grumble to his misfortune of asking this wanderer help, he has no choice. He had to agree with his condition. By the way, R knows his chieftain due to the necklace he was wearing. Adorn with gold plating it resembles the most prestige house symbol in the town residential area, he notice this when he was going through the forest of the Red Sun tree. Using logic aside the most biggest house would always be own by the chieftain isn’t it hehe.

‘very well I will reward you with the things that you desire, are you satisfied! Can you now save my daughter’

R brazenly press the yes button, with a house on stake he rushes to the port located just beside the location of the girl. He took the port because the range of his attack. if he attack by the front the distance was approximately 50 meters in range but if he attack from the port side he would close down the distance to 20 meters. Luckily he has mastered up to the 20 meters range.
With less percentage of missing his target, he then draws his bow toward the sea predator. The girl was barely holding on to the wooden board, she was making sure of not fallen to the sea. If she does bye bye house for R then.
Stil holding off his arrow, he was waiting for the perfect time to strike. The sea predator was still just nudging the wooden board. It was practical calm and patient in front of its prey or it must be playing with its prey first before eating it alive. It must have been right if R was the predator he would behave like that also.
It was a battle against patience versus patience. Who would struck out first? Is it the predator of the sea or is it R.
Then the fun disappear, R was getting restless the timing was near. Concentrating his eye toward the sea, he try as hard as he can to see any movement in the sea. Then he notices something, a tip of the fin surface above the water.
As the movement was fast a splash of water raise from the ocean revealing a large 6 meter sea creature that resembles the shark. As the shark lunge with its razor sharp teeth filled mouth heading toward the poor little girl. The speed of the shark was fast, seeing the fin as the sign for attack, R relies on his intuition to release the arrow using the fin as an indicator.
In that split second moment, before the shark could reach the girl an arrow was embedded into his head penetrating the other side of its head. Luckily, R was able to hit its weak spot, the soft jelly like eye. With blood spreading in the waters, it was sign for victory to R and his new house.
One thing bother him in the moment that crowds of NPC villagers cheer for the chieftain’s daughter rescue. He doesn’t received any notification of leveling up, through his estimation the shark would probably 3 to 4 times more higher level than him.
With no such window notification, he then suspect the shark was still alive. But then he saw a fin of a shark surface from the water heading toward the deep ocean. It seems it was retreating, thank god for that; he would be in major trouble if the shark turns around again.
The shark was a strong opponent, even with its head penetrated it still live on. Seeing the daughter of the chieftain was struggling to go to the shore. R devise a make shift grappling hook made with his arrow and a rope. Succeeding in making one he then received a window notification.

‘heh didn’t know I could do that, weird game’
R received a stats point after being creative with his thinking. Creating a makeshift grappling arrow allows him to gains a stats point.
Releasing the grappling arrow it then lodge into the wooden board. Dragging the wooden board to the port side, he then grab of hold the chieftain’s daughter. Looking up close her daughter was surely a looker.
With tan like skin and a cute lovely face plus with a curvaceous body that was certainly full enough burn the desire within R. but he had other plan for the young miss here. As she went ashore, he manly holds the chieftain’s daughter in his arms. It was like a prince holding on to a princess after being saved from distress.
Trying to look handsome like, he then softly spoke to her;
‘don’t worry you are safe now, I will protect you from now on’
R ends his words with a gallant smile. The chieftain’s daughter face blushes in red after charmed by the words of R and his action. In R heart, he devilish smile as his plan was fallen into its proper order.
Bringing the chieftain’s daughter while flirting along the way, he then arrived at the beach side. An angered man was rushing through the crowds of NPC. Bursting into rage, he then scream at R;
‘get your hands off my little princess you damn wanderer!’
Expecting the chieftain to behave like this, his counterplan then begins;
‘shut up dad!! He’s the one who save me, my charming hero’
Again her face blush after quoting that sentence. Enraged by her daughter actions, he want to retort but R step in;
‘ouh dear chieftain since you have agreed to give a me a house, I wouldn’t want to force you but seeing your daughter safe and happy is enough for me’
Shocked by R change in behavior, the chieftain was silently dumbfounded. Her daughter then supports R backing him up, pressuring the chieftain to give R what he deserved.
‘Dad please give the reward to R, he deserved it he save me your daughter’
Still not giving in to her daughter the chieftain was ready to reveal R actual thoughts. But before he can do it, the daughter asks for the support of the town villagers to persuade the chieftain to give R the reward.
Chieftain was now back to a corner, he has no way out of this. If he fights back his reputation would be tarnish and his long streak of being the chieftain would end if this matter doesn’t end the way R wants. With pressure from every side, he then gives in.
‘find I will give him the reward that he deserved’
‘yeah!!’
The chieftain’s daughter scream with joy as her father agree with R reward. As the villagers was then rally by the daughter to cheer for R. R on the other hand was smiling diabolically with his plan going smoother than he has expected. He then received a window notification.
