I thank you for reading this story so far. Ai_dude (A fan name) here. This is the end of volume 1.

Volume 1 didn’t go the way I initially planned. Where did it go wrong? Well, I planned to introduce Kamil to the nobility much later. In fact, the kid was supposed to leave Laufeld and join a guild in Lux (not as an adventurer since he’s too young, so more as an errand boy).

It’d be much later that he’d find out about his mother’s situation and get recruited into house Fenchel.

Now, if you’ve read volume 1, you’d realize that the story ain’t even remotely close to what I’ve written up there. Aye, it went completely bonkers.

If you ask me how that happened, well, I am one of those writers who tend to write on a whim instead of having a solid plan. I do plan the beginning as well as the ending. But the journey in between is something I just pull out of my arse and make it up as I go along.

So, while I was writing the story, it just went that way. I have no further explanations other than that.

Another example of writing on a whim is Noah and Greta.

Dude, even I didn’t know they’d hook up. Originally, I didn’t plan for them to hook up. I mean Greta was supposed to be a potential love interest for the protagonist. I was mildly drunk when I wrote the first SS (side story). I was surprised at what was written on the screen after I got sober. In the end, I ended up writing a second SS for Greta to compensate.
