Kusk's Reincarnation
Yeah, Not happening - Ch 16

Yeah, Not happening - Ch 16

I'm laying down on Amelia’s bed with blankets on, suddenly I’m facing a woman about 34 years old. She has fiery red hair flowing past her shoulders to the middle of her back. Two bright blue eyes feel like they are piercing my very soul. Amelia had taken off to do some things around the camp when this lady had come in a few hours later. She’s equipped with a set of black leather armor with bits of steel mixed in. A green colored sword rests by her side. She’s a solid 7/10.

“So you’re the demi everyone's been talking about.” She says with eyes that could kill.

This must be Abby. Holy shit, she’s scary for a woman.

“Where is Amelia?” She scowls and folds her arms against her chest.

“I’m not sure, but I’m assuming you must be Abby.” I say as calmly as I can.

“Ah, so she did tell you then. Okay, come on, let's go find her.” She says pulling the blankets away.

“Well that's not something I see everyday.” She says while looking at my arm. “Also, why are you shirtless in Amelia’s bed in the first place. Ugh, I can’t even with that woman. I leave for 5 days and I come back to this. Never mind, just get your shirt on. I will have some words to say to Amelia.”

I climb off the bed and grab the extra tight shirt Amelia made for me. I pull it on struggling, while Abby looks on with disappointment.

“Good gods, why is your shirt so tight. I could see every outline even if I was blind.”

“Amelia made it for me.” I say somewhat sourly. Ugh, I knew people would get the wrong idea.

“You’re joking right. Oh, you’re actually being serious… I have even more to yell at her for. Come on, let's go.” Abby grabbed my shoulder pushing me towards the entrance. We left the tent, me in front being held with an iron grip.

“You there, have you seen Amelia?” Abby calls out to an old man who was working on a piece of wood. He startles and drops the knife in his hand, before looking up.

“Oh Abby… and Kusk. Yes I saw Amelia a few minutes ago, she was walking towards Jasmin’s tent with Becca. Also, when you see her can you tell her Byr nicked his hand and won't be able to finish.”

“Yes, I will thank you for the information. Let’s go Kusk.” Abby says, leading me towards a tent near the woods.

“Amelia! Come out I know you’re in there!” Abby calls out from the front of the tent. The sound makes me wince. That tone doesn’t sound good.

“I’m coming!” Amelia calls out from the tent. I hear a rustle in the tent, and Amelia pokes her head out.

“Oh, it's you, I thought you would be here later.” She says with a less than impressed expression.

“Amelia… let’s go, I have a few words to say to you.” She grabs Amelia with her free hand, and drags her along next to me. I look over to her as we are being driven through the camp with a sodden face. Amelia glances towards me and winces at my expression, instantly turning to face forward again.

We make it back to Amelia’s tent without a word.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

“Okay you two, sit. We have much to discuss.” Abby says with a lecturing tone.

“I’m actually not feelin—” Amelia starts saying, before being thrust down onto one of the chairs. I sit down fearing for my life. Oh crap, this feels like I’m back in school.

“Ah, perfect. Okay Amelia I will start with you. Why did I find a half naked demi resting in your bed shirtless?” She says while tapping the top of the table and glaring at Amelia.

“Because Kusk was hurt after saving my life, and he needed a place to recuperate.” Amelia lets out with a sigh.

“Is that true?” She says turning towards me looking like she's about to kill me.

“...” I can’t reply, as I feel like one wrong word and she will end my life. I finally manage to nod my head.

“Okay, second question. Why did you make Kusk a shirt that is obviously way too small for him.” She says with a hint of frustration.

“...” Amelia doesn’t reply but goes bright red

“Because mine got covered in blood” I manage to meekly let out, as I see Amelia’s not replying.

“Okay, well then Amelia. Where is his original shirt?” Abby lets out a sigh.

“...” Amelia blushes even brighter than before. What did she do with my shirt…

“Well?” Abby turns towards me

“I don’t know, I blacked out.” I reply with a dry mouth.

“Urg, Amelia I will only ask one more time. Where is Kusk’s shirt?”

“I—” Amelia glances up towards me and looks into my eyes, only to look back down at the table. She gestures towards me and lets out a wheeze before starting to cry.

“Okay, Kusk, can you give us a moment?” Abby says while walking over to Amelia.

“Of course.” I stand up as fast as I can and rush out of the tent. Thank god, I got out of there. It felt like I was being interrogated. I push on my stomach, the pain is hardly there. Guess I can start early. I head over to the forest and begin cutting down trees. After cutting down and stripping 2 trees, the pain flares up again and I’m forced to stop. I decided to just sit there listening to the sounds of the forest.

A while later, I see a familiar figure of a woman approaching with a torch. Unfortunately it’s a woman I’d rather not deal with, it was Abby. She walked casually towards me, before gesturing towards me.

“How’s Amelia?” I call out while approaching.

“She’s fine, anyways I heard you’re going to be rooming with me.I think you and I started out on the wrong foot. I’m really easy going. It's just that Amelia's antics have caused me a lot of issues in the past.” She gives me a sollen expression.

“Anyways come I’ll show you to the tent. Before we get there, um… Sorry about the mess.”

I picked up the ax and saw, and made my way with her to her tent. Her tent is in the center of the camp directly across from Amelia’s. It’s made from the same rough cloth as the other tents, but inside it is absolutely trashed. Clothing is tossed all over the place, the bed looks like it's been stabbed half a dozen times with a sword, and a wooden wardrobe has half of the drawers open. The tent has barely enough space to walk around in. As I walk in after setting the ax and saw outside, I have to step precariously over a bunch of pieces of wood, and scattered lumps covered by clothes. It smells like nothing’s been cleaned in weeks. Wow, this feels like when I went into my friend’s bachelor pad. Maybe I should just sleep outside.

“Uh, we will be sharing the bed so don’t try any funny business. I’m going to get out of this armor, so if you wouldn’t mind waiting outside. I’ll call you when I’m done.” She places the top of the torch into a lantern that’s hanging from the ceiling and ushers me outside.

I wait outside until I hear her call out that she’s done changing. Opening the tent, the smell of body odor fills my nose causing me to scrunch it up. God it really is like my friend's bachelor pad. Abby is laying on the bed closest to the tent wall with enough space for me to lay next to her. I guess it's better than sleeping in the cold… I try pulling the shirt over my head, but end up tripping on all the shit in the room crashing down to the ground.

“That was pretty entertaining. *chuckle*” Abby is looking over at me with her arm up supporting her head.

“Ugh” I get up and pull the shirt back down, then climb into the bed next to her.

“Goodnight clutz.” She says turning over.

“Goodnight” I let out a sigh and tried to fall asleep.

After 10 minutes or so, Abby had fallen asleep. I could tell because she immediately started snoring so loud, I felt sorry for myself; the poor bastard who rooms with her. God’s how could this get any worse.

Just as I thought that, Abby rolled over on top of me raising her arm up across my head, burying my nose into her armpit. The smell of body odor filled my nostril so bad I nearly vomited. Yeah FUCK THIS. I rolled out from under her arm onto the floor slamming my head into a block of wood that was covered by clothes. I left the tent soon after and went back to my makeshift shelter. Anything is better than sleeping in that shit hole of a tent. I guess it’s another cold night for me. I climbed under the tree, and fell asleep.
