Five months have passed since I reincarnated in this new strange place. I still have no idea
where I am but I definitely know I am not on earth anymore. I have a black lizard man as a father
and a human mother making me some sort of half breed. I have jet black hair on my head, and my
right arm up to my chest is covered in black scales with various spots of scales on the back of my
right hand. Other than that I believe I look like a normal human baby.
My mother’s name is Chilo and my father I’m not sure. I haven't seen him since the day he named
me. He’s still around as I can make out his voice at night, but he doesn’t seem interested in
interacting with me.
I must say getting used to being a baby again is kind of tedious. I can’t control my body functions
and sitting in piss and shit until I’m changed has definitely put me in a foul mood. Feeding on my
mother’s breast actually doesn’t make me uncomfortable surprisingly, as that's my only source of
nutrients. Anyways most of the days I spend are laying in hay looking at the ceiling until my mother
feeds me. So far my experience in this new strange world is a 1/10. With nothing to do everyday I
tend to sleep. I do have a toy my mother gave me, which looks like a pendant of some kind, but
spinning it around on its small string doesn’t keep me occupied for long.
*BANG* I hear the door get slammed open and the sounds of shouting below. I slowly get up
from my nap and get on my knees and check of the small barricade that keeps me in a little pen
like an animal. Looking around all I can see is the top of the loft where I live. It's got some cobwebs
on the ceiling, rough textured wood as walls, and a large stripped tree as a railing across the loft,
lantern slowly shaking back and forth with the flame trembling.
I wonder what this is all about?
I can hear my mother frantically running below and the sound of my father shouting with a
couple of other voices. I hear things getting knocked over from below and the sound of wood
scraping the floor as something is picked up. Chilo’s voice sounds scared as she shouts to my
father and I hear her footsteps hurry up the steps to the loft. As she comes to the top of the stairs
she looks at me with tears in her eyes and rushes over to me and picks me up.
“Mommy (ahsnu) (sdloe) you Kusk '' She says as she carries me in her arms going down the stairs.
She is carrying me in one arm and in the other it looks like she has an iron axe of some kind. She
rushes down the stairs and grabs a small pack off the ground as we rush outside the house moving

so quickly I can hardly make out the rest of the house before we get out. What I did see looked like
a dining area with a crude table and crudely built chairs, with a dirt floor.
Best not to make a noise because obviously something bad is happening.
Chilo carries me close to her chest just about smothering me, so I can’t see what's going on,
but I do smell smoke and I hear the sounds of people screaming and shouting all around me. In the
distance I hear the call of a trumpet and the marching of boots.
“You folks of Jku Village have disrespected the great duke of Tri Kingdom for not providing the
requested goods and are hereby sentenced to death or slavery! You have all chosen death!”
A voice booms out in english.
What the hell, they speak english in this world!? ALSO I NEVER AGREED TO SLAVERY!
My mother continues running away from the loud voice and clutches me closer to her chest.
The sounds of screaming and shouting slowly faded into the distance. I can’t breath. Is this how I
die? Slowly my consciousness fades into black.
I wake up to the sounds of a horse clopping away on stone as I try to get my bearings.
What the hell happened.
As I look around I can hardly see as I am swaddled in a blanket and have a piece of cloth wrapped
around my head covering my right eye.
As I stir my mother looks down at me, smiles, and lowers her head and kisses me on the
forehead. After I look around and notice we are in a cart of some kind with two other humans in it
as the sounds of a horse clops at the front.
“Oh he's finally awake, that's good you had me scared after you told me you dropped him and
he cut his head above the brow. Looks like he's doing just fine now” A lady says looking over at me.
Oh so I guess that's why I have a piece of cloth wrapping my right eye.
“Yeah he appears to be” My mother smiles again and looks down at me
“Anyways back to what I was saying, I was surprised when I saw you walking along the road
towards Felkstead. Most people don’t come from the direction of the lizard domain; well what's left
of it anyways. Even though they are technically supported by the Tri Kingdom. I think we should get
rid of the no good lizards and all their kin. All they dois make crude weapons and crude clothing
you wouldn’t even want to wear. I mean all they are good for is being meat shields for the royal
army.” Says a man to the left
“Yeah, no good” My mother chuckles nervously, looking down at me with a frown.
Wow, my own mother just dissed me.
“Anyways so what exactly were you doing there” says the women.
“Well I… I ran into some financial troubles and had to move there due to running low on
money. The rent was cheap, but I just acquired enough money to move back to Felkstead.”
“Oh yeah, money can be pretty tight with the tax system in the Tri Kingdom.”
“Anyways enough about me, what were you folks doing heading this way?”
“Oh we were headed to Jku Village but were turned around by some men saying there was an
ongoing situation and it had some horrible disease that was spreading like wildfire. We were
headed there to pick up some cheap mercenaries for the war effort in the south, but sadly that
didn’t work out. There was a lizard there known as the black mamba, rumors of him taking on a
wyvern barehanded; he was on our list.”
“The black mamba, what an interesting name” My mother chuckles while looking down at me with a slight grin on her face.
“You heard of him?”
“No, don’t know much of anyone from this area”
The conversation just dies with nothing else to talk about. I look up at my mother as she slowly
rocks me back and forth matching the rocking of the cart. She puts a piece of cloth on me as she
undoes her shirt and feeds me.
Slowly after my eyes start feeling heavier and I drift back to sleep.
The sounds of the horses rhythmic hoofs like a lullaby.
