Emerald returned to the cave after scouting out the people who had kidnapped the Chosen. She entered the cave, but heard the hush whispers of two dragons.
“Anon has been fun, but things are getting too stable around here. The idea of a dragon who puts kobolds on the same level as dragons was fun. Absurd situations lose their absurdity quickly. “
“What do you intend to do?”
“Intend to do? You ask all the wrong questions.” Bronze laughed his head off. “What do you intend to do in about three mintues?”
The dragoness and Bronze were plotting against Anon. Whatever they were doing would happen soon. She activated his invisibility and ran to the city. She looked to the skies as a dragon soared through the sky. It left blast dust in its wake. A plague dragon. Emerald turned back to fight it, but stopped. She only had defensive magic that was self targeted. She couldn’t protect the cave. She turned back around and ran for Anon.
The plague dragon landed inside the cave. The explosives traps that he walked through knocked toxic dusts off his scales. He smiled at the pitiful traps. He entered the main chamber of the cave. Kobolds surrounded him. Intermixed with the kobolds where large bows. He looked at the odd toys and laughed. More dust shook into the air. “Plaguey!” Bronze shouted. The plague dragon looked into his eyes, reprimanding him for calling him that. Bronze just laughed at the scolding. “Is this the cave you told me about? A kobold rebelion?” Bronze nodded. The plague dragon turned to the kobolds. The dragoness pushed the Bronze dragon away from the plague dragon. “That’s not true. This cave does have a dragon. His name is Anon, he’s a brutal black dragon. He just has some odd ideas.”
“She lied. One of the kobolds crested her.” Bronze giggles like a hyena before disappearing to the top of the mountain to watch the show.

How dare these worms think they are equal to someone of his stature. “Crest yourselves and present yourself to me. Only my slaves do not take damage from the plague in the air.”
The only response the kobolds gave was to fire their ballistas. The thick spears stuck into the chest of the plague dragon. His scales rubbed off into the air. Thick and as fine as moth scales. Any kobolds who breathed it would become ill with a major case of plague. The dragoness bit into the plague dragon’s neck. She could taste the plague dust in her mouth. His neck tasted horrible. She latched on and rotated, pulling the plague dragon to the ground. She held him still with his soft underbelly pointed at the kobold’s ballistas. They fire another volly. One of the spears travels through the plague dragon and spears her, but she continues to hold him still while the kobolds prepare another volley. The plague dragon releases more spores into the air. Another volley flies into him, it comes slower than the last. The dragoness holds her breath. She can feel the poison in her body. Feel her heart slow down. Her jaw strength loosened. The plague dragon breaks her neck hold. He stands back up on his feet. “That’s what you get for crossing me.” He stands there watching the light drain from the dragoness’s eyes. Another volley hits him in the back. He yells as the spears collide with his organs. He turns to the kobolds. “Insolent welps.” He flaps his wings, sending his plague cloud onto the kobolds. They hold their breaths, but their actions dull. The plague dragon laughs as he watches the kobolds slowly succumb to the poison. Only the highest levels and most evolved are alive now. They band together to fire off one last ballista strike. He laughs at their efforts, blowing a cloud of poison in their direction just as they lock the bolt in place. Bob grabs the large metal spear from Kobold General and loads it into the ballista. He blinks his eyes hard. The dusty plague gets into his eyes. He attempts to wipe them clean but misses his own face. His actions are becoming wonky as the poison shuts his organs down. He can’t aim the ballista based off of his sight. The plague dragon laughs. He points the ballista at the laughter. His feet fall out from behind him. He grabs the trigger on his way down.
The balista’s arrow flies across the air. It collides into the neck of the plague dragon. The plague dragon pulls it out in a panic. He tries to breathe in air but the air won’t go in. He holds his neck and stumbles out of the cave. Explosions go off at his feet sending shrapnel into his wounds. If he could find Bronze then Bronze would be able to help him. He looks around for the dragon, but he’s not around. The plague dragon reaches the cave entrance and his legs give out. He lays at the mouth of the cave, his blood running down the mountain.
