CHAPTER 1 - PROLOGUE
It is the year 1540 and after 500 years of brutal conflict, the war between the mages and Amestos is finally drawing to a close.
Amestos are humans with extraordinary physical abilities, including lightning-fast speed and the ability to withstand injuries that would incapacitate any ordinary person.
The mages saw them as a threat 500 years ago when the main order of Amestos attempted to assassinate the leader of the Mage Order, sparking the long and bloody war.
Both sides quickly resorted to conscripting their own kind into their armies.
The mages took humans with magical abilities from their homes to train in their academies, while the Amestos did the same with their own kind.
Over time, the war produced many magical and Amestic prodigies, each side determined to outdo the other.

The Mage Order ultimately gained the upper hand by developing new, darker forms of magic that were previously deemed inhumane.
But the dark magic was a double edged sword, as it would take the life force of its caster.
With the help of dark magic they were able to quickly assassinate several important Amestic leaders, devastating their enemy's morale
.
Today, the Mage Order has reached the capital of Amestos, known as the "City of Light," and a final, bloody battle is imminent.
The Amestos are determined to defend their homeland to the last, while the mages are eager to put an end to this centuries-old conflict once and for all.
Finally on the battlefield arrived Leonidas, a powerfull mage from the mage order, whom is both a skilled warrior and a fierce protector of his comrades.
His unwavering loyalty and commitment to winning the war against the Amestos have led him to employ dark magic,
even when it requires sacrificing his life.
After arriving on the battlefield Leonidas stormed the city walls by himself while chanting the spells of darkness.
Out of nowhere he created a snowstorm in the middle of summer and all of the Amestos soldiers started to lose
speed because of the cold.
Leonidas took them all out with one spell called the "Harbinger".
As he casted the spell the sky turned purple dark and flow of magical particles was seen around the soldiers, slowly taking their life away, and slowly bringing them pain.
But as this was happening Leonidas himself was aging faster, because dark magic takes your life away slowly bit by bit.
The spell "Harbinger" took all the souls of all the soldiers and
scattered them to the underworld.
The mage army outside the city was struck by fear because of the raw power of Leonidas.
As Leonidas approached the castle doors he chanted "Explar" which created a big explosion that destroyed
the whole castle in mere seconds.
Leonidas was about to declare the end of the war but the Amestos king Charleston II came out of nowhere with lightning speed and almost sliced
the head off Leonidas.
Charleston is the king of the Amestos and a proud warrior. He is determined to defend his people and his homeland at all costs, even if it means taking on the strongest mage in the Mage Order.
His intense hatred for the mages blinds him to the possibility of peaceful resolution.
As Leonidas and Charleston clashed in a brutal fight, their weapons clashed and their magical energies crackled through the air. The ground shook with each impact, and the sky turned dark with clouds as their powers collided.
Leonidas was a skilled fighter and a powerful mage, but Charleston's lightning-fast speed and incredible strength made him a formidable opponent. They exchanged blow after blow, each one more intense than the last.
Leonidas summoned magic, channeling it through his body to increase his strength and endurance. But Charleston was relentless, his attacks coming faster and stronger than before.
As the battle raged on, both warriors began to show signs of exhaustion. Their movements grew slower, their breathing ragged. But neither one would back down.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Finally, Charleston made a decisive strike, severing Leonidas's arm. As Leonidas fell to the ground, Charleston prepared to deliver a killing blow.
But Leonidas was quick to react, chanting a powerful spell that would take his own life but also unleash a catastrophic explosion.
The resulting blast was so powerful that it shook the very ground beneath their feet. Buildings crumbled, and the air filled with dust and debris. The mage army outside the city felt the shockwave and feared the worst.
But when the dust cleared, it was clear that Leonidas's sacrifice had been successful. The battle was over, and the Amestos were defeated. The mage army outside the city,
relieved that the brutal war had finally come to an end, began to cheer and hug one another.
As they celebrated their victory, they paid their respects to the fallen and the innocent victims of the war.
Leonidas was hailed as a hero, his name remembered for generations to come. And though the Amestos people suffered,
they never forgot the courage and sacrifice of their fallen warriors and their king, and they held onto hope for a better future.
In the quiet and desolate aftermath of the war, the once-thriving cities of Amestos lay in ruins. The streets,
once bustling with life and energy, were now silent and still. The sound of shuffling footsteps echoed through the empty alleyways,
as the few remaining survivors trudged on in search of food, water, and shelter.
The Amestos people, who had once been known for their strength and resilience, were now a shadow of their former selves. They were divided into five separate states,
each ruled by a different government, all of them struggling to keep their people alive. The conquerors had imposed harsh rules on them, leaving them with very little freedom and resources.
In the years that followed after the war, the Amestos people suffered immensely. Hunger and disease were rampant, and there were few resources to go around. Many died from starvation,
while others fell ill and succumbed to their illnesses. The once-beautiful countryside was now barren and empty, with crops and livestock decimated by the war.
Despite the challenges they faced, the Amestos people refused to give up. They banded together, pooling their resources and skills to create makeshift communities. They shared what little they had,
supporting each other in their times of need. They found solace in their music and their stories, passing them down from generation to generation as a way of preserving their culture and traditions.
Years turned into decades, and the scars of the war slowly began to heal but never disappear. The Amestos people started to rebuild their cities and homes, brick by brick. They created new systems of governance,
and leaders emerged to guide them. Slowly but surely, they began to regain their independence and strength.
Though the war had left its mark on them, the Amestos people refused to be defined by their past. They chose to look towards the future, with hope and determination in their hearts.
And one day, they knew, they would once again be a thriving and prosperous nation.
After years, the Amestos people were left with nothing but memories of their past glory. They had lost everything,
and it seemed as though they would never be able to regain what they had once had. But hope still lingered within their hearts, and they refused to give up on their dreams of a better tomorrow.
Years passed, and the five states of the Amestos slowly began to rebuild. The task was not an easy one, and progress was slow. But with each passing day,
the people of the Amestos worked tirelessly to bring their nation back to its former glory.
Despite their efforts, however, the Mage Order remained a constant threat. The Amestos knew that they could never truly rest, as the Mage Order was always watching and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
In the year 1700, the Amestos people felt that they were finally ready to stand up to the Mage Order. They came together as one, united in their determination to reclaim their rightful place in the world.
But their hopes were dashed when the Mage Order refused to entertain any notion of peace or diplomacy. The Amestos knew that they were once again facing the prospect of war, and they began to prepare accordingly.
As the years passed, the Amestos trained their young men and women to be warriors. They knew that they would need every able-bodied person to defend their nation when the Mage Order inevitably attacked.
Their fears were realized in 1740, when the Mage Order launched a brutal attack on the city of Keoul. The Amestos fought valiantly, but they were outnumbered and outmatched by their enemy.
Amidst the chaos and destruction of the battle, a young boy managed to survive.
He had lost everything, and he was alone and frightened. His future, like that of the Amestos, was uncertain.
