Chapter 11 Advents of Great age of pirates

Unbeknownst to the Armstrong's in Prosopon town, experience a sleepless night, while having a festive mood, after resolving their issues and getting their much-needed respite.

In other palaces in the world, people did not have the opportunity to get their much-needed rest for the past few days much less the privilege of being in a festive mood.

Solely for one reason that is the last words of GOLD ROGER promising his wealth of treasure for those ambitious and adventurous, directly fueling the great age of pirates.

This may sound like a novel and exciting idea for those sorts of people, but for the average civilian, these words sound worse than a curse. Submitting them to wave after wave of these delusional people doing every sort of thing be it from petty theft and scams to ra**ing, pillaging, and killing entire villages and cities just to be ahead of others in the grand race for the fabled ONE PIECE.

Thus, for normal citizens, the pirate king is the demon incarnate. Bringing disasters on them through his words and action, even worse than the likes of the infamous Rocks D. XEBEC.

Giving rise to the great age of pirates also gave another group of people plenty of problems, the MARINES which was the organization representing justice in the world, or at least for those willing to bend their knees to the world government and Celestial Dragons.

That's why cursing the late pirate king has become a daily ritual for all those in marines from the chore boys to the fleet admiral since they are the first to bear the burn of this new era of adventure and romance.

For all in the marines except one individual, the hero, the poster boy of the marines since the god's valley incident. MONKEY D. GARP

As he was pacing around his office, munching on crackers, he was more busy thinking back to the last request of his late rival. He has not yet made up his mind on what to do knowing, so Garp was in the dilemma of choosing his duties calls or what his heart was telling him.

But after several days of thinking he reached a decision after hearing what his good friend Tsuru told him:

"Children are not to be blamed for the sins of their parents."

Making up his mind he called for his trusted and Stoic assistant Bogard.

"Bogard prepares to set sail, we have to go on a tour in south blue showing justice to those naïve and adventurous youngsters."

While preparing the ship he was telling Bogard the last request of Roger before his death and his plan to fulfill his rival's last wish. Hearing this Bogard went into deep thought, after a few minutes he quietly said:

"Garp san was there anyone there when you and Roger were talking?"

Taking some time to think back Garp then confidently shook his head.

"Are you sure Garp San? Were you using Observation Haki the whole time?"

As soon as Garp heard this, he lost his confident look since after his initial check Garp let go of his guard. Especially when he heard of Rogers's selfish request he completely ignored his surroundings.

Seeing Garp's expression Bogard figured everything out.

"Then Garp san we are in trouble, you know as the saying goes walls have ears. Doors have eyes, especially in the navy HQ. the world government most likely now that rogers child would be born in south blue, but they might not know the exact location yet. So Garp san I think you should pay a visit to your old instructor. He will have a way to muddy the waters."

Garp also agreed with Bogard's idea, since the only one who could help him to hide away his traces as well would be the person responsible pf Navy intelligence, his and Sengoko's old instructor Ike Louise Armstrong.

......

In an island resting on the boundaries of the calm belt and east blue. A huge port city could be seen stretching to the point unseeable by the eyes. Hundreds of paddle and rowing ships could be seen docking and leaving from the bustling port of Oltea the capitol and homeland of all Armstrong's.

Tens of kilometers inland from the piers an ancient medieval tower could be found. But the most eye-catching feature of this tower was not its height of 100 meters or its ancient breath but rather a tired face imbued on the rooftop, sighing and showing human-like expressions from time to time while gazing at the sea of stars.

Inside the top floor of this amusing tower, several elderly faces could be seen sitting at a round table around an ancient-looking Female. Exuding a breath of helplessness the ancient figure opened her dried-up lips:

"I am feeling indignant. Sigh... I know that I don't have that much time left. I've led a good life till now, but it's just that I feel ashamed seeing the previous maiden in the afterlife."

Taking an apologetic look at all the elderly faces present she then said:

"Sorry you all, it seems that I won't be leaving you any artifacts before passing away. I don't know why, but it seems that fate has really abandoned our family, since betraying our creed 200 years ago by no longer permitting us to awaken the power of the POSEIDON."

Seeing the scrunched faces of all the counselors she disappointedly shook her head while saying:

"Well these are just the mumbling of this old lady so just ignore it. This might be the last time that I see you all, so I just wanted to say goodbye. I won't be taking your important time any more than I have. Farewell."

She then hurriedly left to supervise the ongoing ceremony before her flame of life distinguishes. picking the candidate for the next holy maiden and eating the POSEIDON devil fruit after her passing.

After all the sole reason that the Armstrong's could thrive in the calm and dangerous waters of the calm belt was due to abilities of that fruit. giving the bearer the ability to converse with the powerful and ancient sea kings, thus giving Armstrong's ship the right to traverse the waters infested with them by making artifacts bearing the aura of Poseidon.
