The new day, the new sky, the water, and the land — ever the same and ever-evolving — the embodiment of the moment and the eternal entwined.
The cyan-haired figure excused herself from the duo of Ava and Carrie. Taking long strides to leave the Armstrong manor while smiling and nodding to the very staff that she saw on the way.
Getting back to her abode. Just a few minutes from the orange-painted manor. Her smile instantly faded followed by her checking every nook and cranny of her house, going as far as measuring the dust on the ground. After making sure that her house was not compromised. She then put her hand towards her nether region.
"Purururu purururu"
Bringing out a smaller-than-usual Denden Mushi.
"Katcha"
a hoarse and manly voice came from the other side of the transponder snail/
"Agent Touka why have turned off the 24/7 eavesdropper transponder snail?"
"Sir, I had to get rid of it because of Ava's presence. As I've mentioned in my previous reports, Ava possesses a very keen sense and observation Haki. Compromising the other bugs in their residence."
After a few seconds, the hoarse voice said:
"You did very well agent Touka. The continuation of your mission is the most important thing. Then since you were present at the site, could you recount what exactly happened?"
Wednesday then gathered her thoughts, summarizing the whole ordeal and reporting it in full detail even her reaching an agreement to become a mistress of Alexie Louise Armstrong.
After hearing the whole ordeal, there was silence for some time. Likely the owner of the hoarse voice was reporting the whole matter to the higher-ups. After what felt like an eternity a new softer voice came from the other side:
"SHO SHO you did a good job agent Touka. If you continue working hard like this your promotion to the CP9 division wouldn't be that far away. Your report has been noted for now. Be on alert Agent Touka. Over."
"KATCHA"
Hearing her superior promises no emotion could be, observed on Wednesday Toukas face as it has always been since the beginning. Neither happiness nor sadness nothing would deter her from achieving her goals and mission.
.......
Thousands of kilometers away, on the eternally afternoon island, The man who was just talking with agent Touka Wednesday just finished his talk with his subordinates. The man wearing a badass dark blue suit, with a pink shirt underneath.
But shaking after thinking ore Spandine decided that the newly received report had to be directly delivered to the five elders since there are too many Armstrong working in the middle level of world government. After looking for Spandem, he saw his good-for-nothing son excitedly arguing with the newly promoted WHOISWHO.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Making him change his decision on sending Spandem on this rather important errand.
"Sigh... I guess I gotta do it myself after all. When will this fool learn that these small power plays don't matter. Licking the shoes of five elders and keeping them satisfied is all that matter in this world. Only in that way, we will be able to be truly above millions but under one."
Spending then went to the port, while taking a mental note to teach his son more about the true way of the world.
..........
In another corner of the world somewhere on the edge of the calm belt and east blue, several 260 tons of paddle ships made specifically to cross the calm belt were seen on a shore of a small island just a few days away from the Prosopon.
What attracted these ships and sailors was a huge clean hole cutting through the island like a laser. Leading to what seemed like an eternal dark abyss.
Hundreds of figures were on the island studying every nook and cranny in hopes of finding some clues into what has transpired to this island housing hundreds of scientists and a state of art research center just a week ago. but between all these people one person was standing out like a sore thumb looking at the ground worriedly.
She had a head full of blond hair, deep blue eyes, and a stern look on her face. Standing at 250 cm while having a well-endowed. While pulling out her Flintlock .44 Caliber Revolver. She emitted an aura reeking of blood and death, giving second thoughts to all who dared to look at her improperly.
Then she started shooting at the air as if an invisible enemy was standing in front of her. She wasn't done after emptying her clip, instantly pulling her right index finger up all the bullets which were resting on the ground got up and started circling her.
After a few seconds of her keeping up the farce, a dark-skinned man with purple appeared a few centimeters from the stunning Sofiya while half-naked because of his melting clothes.
Feeling Edwards's breath on her face Sofiya threw a punch at his face. Punching through his face Sofiya felt no resistance as if he was punching through the air. Seeing that all her acts have been futile she pulled back her arm while jumping back. then she went on to angrily yell:
"Edward, why the heck are you playing around at this time? We are in deep trouble, and you should know it better than me. Council years of efforts and investment disappeared into thin air all of a sudden. Take it more seriously, our goddamn paycheck is on the line, you bastard."
Seeing Sofiyas temper tantrum brought a smile to the corners of Edwards's lips. Looking completely different than the Stoic and stern man that he was in Prosopon town. He then laughingly said:
"Sorry, Sofiya. It's just that seeing an old friend's eye-catching body brung out some long-forgotten excitement in this old man's heart."
Hearing his perverted words, there was no expected blush on Sofiyas face but rather a look of disdain.
"You freaking boomer, don't you have any shame? If you had a daughter I would be the same age as her. Sigh... forget it. Did you find anything worth noting down there?"
Shaking his head, Edward pulled his stubbles and then said:
"No. There was nothing down in the hole or underground except molten earth and lava. But I am quite curious, what were the council and those scientists doing on this tiny island in the first palace?"
Sofiya melancholically answered:
"All I know is that this was a top-secret project by the council in cooperation with the World government. As for the details, I don't know. But whatever it was. It was important enough to put old man Musa as the head of security for this palace. He was the one who taught me a lot of what I know today, plus he was the most experienced member of our special enforcement group as well. Sigh... being responsible for the security here, he also might have disappeared for good."
Hearing this Edward was feeling sad as well since he and Musa had a long story as well. Even saving Edwards's life on one occasion. He then looked at his assistant and ordered:
"Alright then since I haven't found anything yet. Let the rest of the guys scavenge around for today, maybe they get lucky and find something. Also start preparing the ships we will be looking at the nearby islands tomorrow."
As Edward said this he went back toward his temporary tent for a fresh set of clothes while Sofiya jumped and started flying away in a weird-looking manner, curving up higher and higher each time she fell.
