A great morning

04/1/2037

It was a great morning to wake up on, except he was in a plane, and it was falling, Luke Tianno had always been considered an unlucky guy, he was very smart, but due to his lack of concentration, his grades kept falling until he barely finished middle school, he also had asthma and endocarditis, something that crushed all of his hopes of being strong, since he didn’t have all that much determination to proceed with aches and breathing difficulties, he had parted ways with his friends a few years back, when they got into a fight because he never did anything back for them, they were right, but that was a consequence of a few things, especially his lack of luck(it always seemed like the whole world was against him with everything), excess of money, and practically missing determination, but on the bright side, he was very patient, so he never lost hope, he didn’t have many regrets, so when he saw that the plane had just turned off, he wasn’t that alarmed, he knew his chances of survival were 0 anyway, so he quickly closed his eyes and meditated on everything that he did wrong, like he did very often when something hard to deal with happened, he thought about his friends, and how he had disappointed them constantly, and was thankful that they took years to kick him out of the group, he was sorry that he couldn’t say goodbye to his twin sister, that always cared for him even when he didn’t deserve it, and lastly, he was sorry to himself, for being so irrelevant, none of those things made him feel regret, as he couldn’t see his life getting better either way, he had been traveling to Canada, he was Brazilian, he had tan skin and a short wavy brown hair, he had crystal blue eyes, he was 1.77M tall (5’8) and was 18, he was always wearing jeans and that stupid t-shirt that had the logo of a guild he created (a man meditating on a mountain of corpses) in a game he loved, he lived a fairly stupid life, his biggest accomplishment being the best player of that same online MMORPG called call of oblivion, he lived some time on Miami in the US and felt more at home there than at his home country, mainly because everyone treated him well because he was rich and young, his family was composed of a few billionaires, so when his favorite uncles that had no children died leaving billions for him and a company for his sister, he didn’t need to do much, his mother said he could keep the money if he completed high school which he did, and he didn’t actually use most of the money, as he mostly played videogames at his room and thought pay to win took the fun out of games, so when he finished thinking about his life he was scared to be taken out of meditation not by the screams of the people in the airplane but by a loud ding noise, when he opened his eye, he saw a glowing blue box, and saw that time had stopped, except for the people, but no sound came from their mouths and all of the movement was slow, he was startled by a message that echoed in his head, said by the voice of his dead uncle “Hello new initiate, welcome to the system, you are part of a project called Multiversal Genesis, and your world has been chosen as one of the first worlds to join it, every 100 years a new batch of worlds is integrated on the system, you are of the 24th batch of the 1st universe, when the counter reaches 500, the whole universe will be integrated, and then a new one, with the same process, your...” his eyes were wide in recognition, he had read many books like that, his mouth had opened involuntarily, that changed things, it possibly gave him a whole new life, the one thing he was good at was videogames, he calmed himself and continued reading “... planet has been chosen for complete assimilation, and along with other planets that suffered the same fate, you will be spread in a special A grade world, a few of you will be sent to the other planets in the system, the structures you are on will be sent along, and before you appear on the world, you will pass by an introductory period called the tutorial, checking your records...”

As the list ended, he thought to himself ‘definitely some sort of mage would be the best way to do it, but class selection might not be as straightforward as I thought it would, especially considering the luck and fate stats, and shouldn’t they be the same thing? Also, how do I have 10 in achievement?’ to which the system gladly answered, with no regard for privacy of thought “Luck and Fate stats are complex auxiliary stats, Luck is the one that measures your likelihood of getting better results on random reward situations and Fate is the one that measures your potential in the eyes of the system, and influences the amount of good options compared to the bad ones, every human has a starting status range of 1 to 10. Your achievement score is based on the rarity of your achievements, you have few achievements, all related to virtual interactive puzzles known as videogames, with your highest achievement being Villain No1, when you fought against all of the 367 players of the max level which was the same as you and still won without losing a single hit point only due to your ability as your skills still allowed you to take damage, completely ruining an event that was meant to be a take the crown event, you started and finished the event with the crown, it also lasted 10 days due to you, in which you barely slept, this marked you as the strongest monk class player in any game on the whole world, which is a unique achievement, resulting in a total of 10 achievement points, this all increases your chance of getting a higher rarity class to 99.3%, which converted to only 1 common rank class and 2 trash rank classes due to low luck stat” He was happy and excited through the whole process, until he saw the last part his blank expression saying it all as he tried to process that the luck stat just killed his future, he then said “What are my class choices?” the system instantly replied

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

Lazy guy (Trash) [F]

The lazy guy is a class focused on debuffing, sacrificing all their physical stats for the power to debuff others by reducing the enemy stats, the lazy guy is a worse version of the noble and silkpants classes, they have double efficacy when feeling comfortable

Level gains

* Permanent 1 Dexterity

* Permanent 1 Strength

* Permanent 10 Stamina

* + 1 Wisdom

* + 1 Intelligence

Despair was visible on his face as he looked at the class ‘well, it’s still salvageable, maybe the next class isn’t as bad, I don’t believe it can get any worse than this, this may be the class I deserve but it’s not the one that I need, please don’t be something bad for once in my life’

Believer (Trash) [F]

The Believer is a class that can buff other faith-based classes, and has 1 free magical ability, which temporarily gives a 10% higher efficiency to luck, it’s a worse version of the Cleric and Temple Keeper classes, contrary to most classes, it doesn’t give any stat upgrades per level, instead increasing the ability’s efficiency increase by 1% per level

‘Nice, this is even more useless for me, and someone with high luck wouldn’t even see this class, 0/10, this is the most useless class I’ve ever seen’

Magiblood (Common) [F]

Contrary to popular belief, the magiblood is not on the magic spectrum of classes, instead being a generalist with abilities based on their inherent bloodline, if they don’t have a bloodline ability, this class will work towards creating one based on their Achievements and skills they create every 2 lvls, in rare occurrences, the bloodline does not awaken when the person reaches lvl 10, and when that happens, if the person has this class the bloodline and class fuse at the end finally awakening at the final level, increasing the class rarity by at least one on the next class selection

Level gains

* +1 to all regular Stats

* Improved Dao connection

* Growth skill every 2 levels

Initial equipment based on luck

He smiled, he always had great exploiting skills, and maybe this time his low luck would come in and save him due to his high fate, he knew this class would be a bad class at the beginning, but that was fine for him, he always liked the slow games, if he could get a good bloodline and a few friends to help him until his potential started shining maybe it would help him more than a rare class, the selection out of the way, he nodded to himself and asked “what in hell is a bloodline?” once again the system was ready to answer “A bloodline is an especial constitution or set of abilities that can defy most rules, including the creation of new energy types that are unique to that bloodline, you have created a bloodline overwriting your existing one due to your high fate and achievement stats stat, but you can’t awaken it due to your low luck and constitution stats at the creation of the bloodline, no regular treasures can awaken it, making it a practically useless bloodline unless quest assigned rewards awaken it, bloodlines have an special tier system and just like abilities and classes, that represent their potential instead of current power” he gave himself the pleasure of an evil laugh, he knew way better than most that sometimes a weak class can make something stronger than a rarer one, when he played call of oblivion he was a common rarity monk, but after taking the class’s level to the maximum allowed, he was able to become the strongest villain, guild leader and overall player of the game due to a dodging glitch and his deflect projectile ability, that allowed him to redirect projectiles he successfully blocked, but due to the glitch he could also deflect those he dodged if he timed right, taking 0 damage instead of half, if his Achievement has something to say when making his ability, he is probably going to have some ability related to fighting multiple strong enemies or dodging/deflecting ‘Too bad I’m not some sort of reckless guy who would risk himself for something, I didn’t fear death because I had nothing else to win on this life, but... I don’t want to waste my new chance, so maybe not to jumping stronger enemies than myself until I’m stronger than my level says I am, now what are the tiers?’ the system was very vague in its answer, but as a gamer he knew exactly what it meant with that.

“The tiers Range from F to A, there is a Tier above those, but it has never been reached before, so no information is available yet, the F tier also known as Mortal Tier ranges from level 1 to 10, and rarely taps the Daos, you have been chosen to be sent to an F type Maze City tutorial on your home system, those are special dungeons that can become cities once conquered, but they must be conquered level by level”

‘And the good news come again, maybe the bad luck isn’t going to immediately kill me, now... How many people will appear with me?’ “Every person currently on the same structure as you, the structure will be converted into the city for integration purposes, this will only happen to structures that are in movement due to the nature of the world you will appear on which is a C grade gas giant, any other questions will be answered after the tutorial” His eyes opened wide as he was about to ask for the system to wait, but as he blinked he found himself somewhere else.
