Chapter 17 - Waste of Time

Chapter 17 - Waste of Time

The door to the room opened back up on the barracks common room. Hanshi stepped in and looked around, scanning for Jason. She did not know how well he did in the arena. Spotting the boy asleep on the couch-bench she smiled to herself. He had survived. This was good she thought. “Finally, a suitable partner… ,” she said to herself, “... and such a fun little creature too.” She lifted his head and slid into the seat it rested on moments before, letting him use her lap as a pillow. This put pressure on the dagger in his shoulder as it pushed on her thigh. After doing this, she stretched out, putting her feet up on a nearby table and her arms behind her head, leaning back, thrusting out her chest, putting it on display for no one. She relaxed and waited for him to wake, ignoring the blood run from the wounds on his torso and dripped onto the couch and floor.

When Jason awoke hours later he felt sore and groggy. He didn’t open his eyes immediately and wasn’t at all clear on where he was or what was going on. He did, however, have the pleasant sensation of a gentle hand caressing his chest. It took a few moments before realizing this was indeed a hand. Immediately his eyes shot open. He was confronted with two large mounds above him. Instantly he sat up, Hanshi’s hand dragged across his chest and over his shoulder. Her hand latched onto the dagger and gripped it, causing a shockwave of pai to ripple through his body. “Where are you going so fast?” she asked as she yawned, having dozed while she waited for him.

His eyes widened at the pain he felt. He forgot that the dagger was still there, but the jostling that her holding it caused him brought his memory back to him. However, he had been through quite a few surprise attacks recently and instead of freezing in place, he made to escape her grasp and prepare to fight. That was the plan anyways. She didn’t let him. Her hand slipped under his arm, wrapped around his chest, a pulled him against her. She hugged him as he was some sort of large plush toy made for her hug. “Oooh, that wouldn’t be good to do,” she purred into his ear. He was helpless to do anything to stop her.

Hanshi wrapped herself around him. He struggled against her, but his legs were turned away from her and he was in a prone sitting position while his arms were restricted by her. She bit onto the handle of the dagger and pulled it from the gaping wound in his trapezius. Afterwards dropping it down his front. Jason winced. “Don’t be a baby, momma’s not gonna kiss that to make it feel better,” she said. Her left hand began to creep down is torso, towards his navel, while her right rand rest over the center of his chest. Jason could feel her breasts on his back. His senses were hyper focused from the pain and pleasurable sensations. He wanted it to stop, but another part of him wanted it to continue.

Jason felt her hands begin to warm up suddenly and a tingling sensation crawled over his body. His heartbeat increased. He became lightheaded and confused. The blood in his body pumped through it and out of the wounds. Had he survived the battle with the Goblin to now die at the hands of this woman in such a seductive manner. He groaned. He felt good. He felt deathly ill. He was on the brink of consciousness and then it all stopped. The world went black. No sensations of any sort.

The next thing Jason knew was a feeling of once again laying down comfortably. He could no longer feel his wounds. His breathe that had been ragged and took effort to resperate was now calm and peaceful. A bright light shone through his closed eyes. He happily sighed, at peace with the world. When the glowed fade he opened his eyes and he was once again looking up at the bosom of a large breasted women. Hanshi to be exact. he didn’t make any quick movements, learning from the first time. He was also more relaxed than last time he woke up. “Good morning?” he asked, not moving from his place of laying his head in her lap. Hanshi smiled down at him, but he didn’t see. There was something in the way that blocked his view after all. “What happened?” he asked, however, he believed she didn’t need her to answer because he thought knew she had violated him.

“Apparently, my hands were too much for you to handle,” she said with a wicked grin. She slapped his chest playfully, “You’re good to go now. We slept all day though. Got any ideas to wear ourselves out for bedtime?”

It was dawning on Jason that what he thought happened hadn’t. He sat up and turned. This time she didn’t stop him. He looked at his chest. The wound had sealed itself and hadn’t left even a scar. He couldn’t see a wound in his shoulder either, but that might just be due to it not being very easy to look at one’s trapezius. He stretched his neck. It felt great. Not a single wince of pain. He stood and stretched. He hadn’t felt so good in a while. Had she healed him? It was possible with the technology he had seen so far. He was even going to get Rina to heal him when he got back to the Inn, but it seemed like it wouldn’t be necessary. Doubts lingered in his mind about what really happened. Rina had healed him before and it was nothing like what Hanshi had done.

Stolen novel; please report.

“I’m going home, “ he said as he grabbed the dagger from the table that Hanshi had apparently moved it to so that he would be stabbed in the crotch while he slept. He resheathed it and began out of the room.

“You are a fickle friend aren’t you? Your friend is sitting up there as a slave and you’re just going to go home and sleep. I thought you cared a bit more after that scene you put on earlier.”

Jason stopped in his track and spun on his heel. “And what do you suggest?” he yelled at her. He was furious now having realized that he had been dragged around all day, nearly killed, and not gotten any closer to helping friend for all of his troubles. On the other hand, he did earn himself a nice amount of credits from killing those people.

“As I said before, you’re weak. You need to get stronger or you can pay for your girlfriend. If you buy her she’ll have to love you even if she doesn’t swoon from her big strong man coming to her rescue,” she told him.

He growled low before you shouted at her, “In the arena? That was your suggestion. All I got from that is almost dead. I didn’t even get anything from that creature. No money. No equipment. Not even a rag.” Jason got what he wanted to say off his chest, then looked down and took a breath. “You know what? I’m done playing with you. Go find another toy.” He stormed out of the room before she could respond.

Hanshi didn’t rush after him. She didn’t need to. Regardless of how quickly she moved the AI that ran the elevators would hold it for people who were grouped together and going to the same location. This kept things running efficiently in terms of time and energy. She casually made her way to the elevator back to the surface. The doors opened to let Jason in just as she got there and she followed after, humming as though she was minding her own business. Jason, however, was fuming that he had to ride up to the surface with her and at her in general.

“The arena was just a way to relatively safely test your skills,” she said acting as though she was talk to herself. “The dungeons are how you get good stuff cheaply. When you have nothing to work with that is.” The elevator doors opened and she exited, “The arena is fun alone, but like other things, only gets really good when you have others to, play with, was it.” She began to walk way humming, in a way that any outside observer would be able to tell that she wasn’t really trying get away from him.

“Wait! Dungeons? You’re not talk about some perverted thing are you?” he asked.

“Oh my. Now how would that get you things to deal with your slave girlfriend situation? No, I mean places that people who created this world made to challenge and reward those willing to explore them.”

“Gear to get in the arena I’m assuming?” he pondered alloud.

“Maybe. They’re outside of settlements. The further outside you go, the more dangerous and better rewards there are.”

“But won’t they have all their rewards been taken by now? Whatever this is, it’s been going on for more than a few hundred years now. Those places must have been raided picked over long ago,” Jason criticized the idea.

Hanshi shrugged, “That’s never been a problem for me. Every dungeon I’ve found are just like you, virginal. They reset somehow, making every time their first time.”

“I am n… How would you even know that?” he said flustered by the random jab at his sexual status.

“A woman knows these things,” she smiled and started on her way toward one of the city gates, “You coming? Or do you plan on denying the perfectly obvious course of action to take when a lady offers, like always?” she mocked him.

He walked after her briefly, but stopped, “Hey, I take it we won’t be done and back today. Let me go make go take care of a few things before we leave.”

Hanshi consented to the delay. At the inn Jason handed off all but 100 credits to Rina and told her to hang onto it for him. He then talked to the Tik’rs. They would try to keep the room empty till he returned, but they might not be able to. They felt relieved that he talked to them first before he went off like he was, because if something went wrong they’d at least know what to tell Rina. Otherwise, it would have appeared he’d had just vanished and left the girl behind. who knows effect this would have on her psyche so soon after losing her home and family and at such a young age. Jason gathered the rations he stored away and put them in his backpack to take with him. Before he left though, he deactivated and reactivated his ARMS, refreshing them. He wasn’t sure where the blood went nor the extra fabric came from but it was a convenient function. He just wished there was a way to do it without getting completely naked. That made him think about what happened when he took off the clothes regularly while the device was still active, but that was a question for another day and mystery to be solved by someone smarter than he.

He left the inn and joined back up with Hanshi who had waited outside for him. The two of them exited the town gates, getting odd looks. They were leaving late in the day. All the guards thought this was strange, but people were free to come and go as they pleased. They took one last look at their gear to make sure they were prepared for the journey and the challenges they were about to face and then started walking down the road. The nearest dungeon, Hanshi thought, would be at least a days walk away. Jason followed hoping that this wasn’t another one of her games.
