INTO THE NEW WORLD-CHAPTER 2
----------------------------------------
Debris was falling into all sorts of places. A couple half liven buildings that looked like they could fall anytime sunk, and the result was undeniable, the whole area was in empty frenzy.
Below the surface, 4 pairs of feet were running towards their destination.
“Almost there! I see the platform, hurry up Kristen!”
“oh shut up, I can see the platform as well, I’m right behind you,” He grumbled.
Jameed climbed on the platform from the tracks and scanned the area.
He quickly wiped the debris off himself. He rubbed his tanned arm and wiped his shoes. Jameed was a black light skin and rough black hair that sounded scrunchy and hadn’t seen water in a while.
Kristen followed and jumped onto the platform. He was of a white Asian nationality. His blond hair was of a soft wavy feeling, although dry.
“This looks like a good area to stay doesn’t it?” as Kristen looked around.
“Yeah, this doesn’t look too bad.”
Kristen walked ahead into a corner and dropped his stuff. He pulled out a mattress and a blanket. “Do what you want, I’m going to sleep.”
Jameed was taken back a bit. “Bro, are you serious? Come on we got business to do.”
Kristen was already knocked out.
“This guy can’t be serious. Thought Jameed. Whatever, I suppose I’ll look around.
Jameed took off to explore the area.
----------------------------------------
Jameed walked up to the entrance of the station. “What was that explosion anyway? I hear them every once in a while, are other people around here?”
Jameed walked around the bare city looking for anything. It’s a little rare to see other people outside of supply drops and gadget competitions. Jameed kept walking and stepped over many things, like rocks and debris.
“I need to find food again, hopefully, I can find another supply drop.” Jameed opened up his phone he pulled it out of his pocket. “Good, I still have a connection. lemme look around for any nearby.” Jameed put his phone up into the air to scan the area. His phone beeped. A supply drop was nearby. “Alright! Gotta get moving.”
Jameed started tracking down the supply drop taking many turns and walking a long distance. He came across old shops, and overgrown trees and plants.
After walking for a long time, Jameed arrived at the supply drop.
“Alright, time to pick some stuff up.” Jameed opened his big back and started stuffing a lot of stuff. Food, drinks, clothes, ammo, and some other important stuff.
“huh, might as well take this.” He found a hair comb. Jameed packed up and scavenged through the rest of the stuff in the supply drop. “what’s this?” Jameed pulled out a small wrapped-up box. He opened it and couldn't believe what he saw. It was a gadget. Looking at the condition it came through, it looks new.
BEEP! Ready to be used!
Jameed couldn't believe his luck. He could finally enter the New World. “I need one for Kristen too though, I can’t leave him.” Jameed started looking through the pack for another gadget.
His luck was transitory. He didn’t have another wrapped box or anything that could be a gadget. “dang it, I should have known my luck wasn’t going to be that good.”
Jameed decided to just leave. He stored all his stuff and his gadgets as well safely in his bag. He took off back to Kristen.
----------------------------------------
Ashlyn was lost. Very lost. She was sent to find the supply drop and now she is in quite a predicament. “Oh my God, seriously, he didn’t bother to charge the phone?” She looked at the black screen upset.
Ashlyn started to look around in hopes of something that could help her. She started walking down the street looking around carrying a bag.
Rocks, benches, green, debris, nothing that could help her. Ashlyn was worrying heavily. “I need to find a charger,” she said. She continued walking and walking.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Ashlyn was a white girl, with black hair with gold streaks. She got separated from her group while supposed to be looking for a supply drop. Geo, a person in her group, supposedly forgot to charge the phone, landing Ashlyn in this problem.
After walking for ages she found a subway. “Maybe there could be something down there.” Ashlyn walked down the steps and reached below the surface. There was nothing she could see that could be of use. She walked further and started scanning the area.
“Who are you.” said a voice.
Ashlyn quickly jumped around and pulled out a switchblade.
“woah put that down. You woke me from my sleep, I think I need an explanation.”
Ashlyn narrowed her eyes. “oh yeah, I think I need my explanation.” She was looking at a person a bit taller than her. Blond hair exposing him, he came out of the corner and into a better light.
“I said put that down, I’m unarmed you know?”
“Who are you?” questioned Ashlyn.
“Fine, I'm Joe. Who are you?”
Ashlyn put down the switchblade slowly. “I’m Ashlyn.”
“Alright Ash, Let us be a little civil okay?”
“Don't call me Ash.”
“Whatever, what are you here for anyways? Where did you come from?”
“I think I should be the one asking questions here.”
“You aren’t, you came onto my territory.”
Ashlyn pursed her lips. “uh well I-”
“Cut to the chase, what are you here for anyways?”
Ashlyn decided to take her chance. “Um, do you have a charger for a phone maybe? I need it.”
Kristen raised his eye. “Oh sure, I got a charger. Just follow me.”
Kristen went to his bag and pulled something out. It was a charger, a portable one at that. “Before I give you this, I want something in return.” Ashlyn was taken aback. “Come on! I need it, please. I don't have anything of use.”
“Seems like you don’t need this charger then.”
Ashlyn started looking at Kristen upset. “How about this Joe, I can take you back to my group and give you some safety. You seem to be alone, I can change that.”
Kristen eyed her. “Nah I'm good.”
Ashlyn decided to take a small risk. She lunged for the charger and surprised Kristen. Kristen reacted quickly enough moved back and pulled out a gun. “Now now, take it easy, don’t need someone stealing stuff.”
Ashlyn jumped back and was in a bit of a shock. “I thought you were unarmed.”
Kristen smirked. “Come on, like I would be unarmed.”
Ashlyn was in an awkward situation. “Hey look I’ll look if I can give you something. I just need to get back to my group. Please let me use the charger.”
“Alright since you decide to attack me, I pick what I want in your bag.”
Ashlyn was getting desperate at this point. “Fine, please just give me the charger.”
Ashlyn handed over her bag to Kristen and Kristen gave her the charger.
“Oh and by the way, My name isn’t Joe.”
“huh? Then what is your real name?” asked Ashlyn.
“Not telling.” Kristen chuckled.
“hmmph.”
“Alright, you got Twinkies? Are they still around? oh HELL YEAH!” Kristen rejoiced and took them out of Ashlyn’s bag.
“what? He seems very happy. at least he didn’t take any of the important stuff like food and drinks I have.” Thought Ashlyn.
----------------------------------------
Couple hours later…
“Alright, my phone is fully charged. Thank you “Joe”.” Ashlyn said.
“You’re welcome, thanks for the Twinkies Ash.”
“don’t call me Ash.”
“Yeah yeah, whatever. Now out of my sight.”
Ashlyn grumbled at him and took off with her stuff and a fully charged phone. She opened up the locator and saw many messages waiting for her. She has a lot of explaining to do. She went up the stairs and left the subway and started looking for a supply drop.
When one left the subway, another arrived quite literally right after.
Jameed has finally arrived back at the subway and with some crazy news to break to Kristen.
