Deep in the southwestern jungles of the Kaijuverse lived a society of remarkable beasts. Their goal was to live out a peaceful existence in their lands, yet when provoked, they would wreak as much havoc and mayhem as necessary to protect their livelihood. Although barbaric, the great beasts were civilized compared to other primal societies. The nation was led by a select few of the elders from the community, coming together and using their years of wisdom to decide the best outcomes in any conflict that arose. Along with the weight of judgment, the elders also assigned missions to specific community members. These missions were usually dangerous, sending one or two members into the land of the humans to invade and destroy a city. The beasts would be honored when chosen for such a role. If they succeeded in their mission, they would receive commendations for their actions, currency to use within the settlements, and a higher level of recognition within the community.

The currency they gained from completing missions was an excellent tool for powering the society, trickling currency into the colony ecosystem so that it did not overload the system and devalue the currency. In turn, the nation’s shopkeepers could profit from their work without risking their lives on dangerous missions.

Everyone in the community lived relatively happy lives in peace and harmony. Together, they founded a peaceful society apart from humans and their occasional invasions into the jungle. In retaliation for those incursions, the warriors would track the humans back to their cities and enact vengeance for the disturbances the human presence had caused in their jungles. No one knew at the time, but the butterfly effect that would come from these small exchanges would be one that would reshape the entire kaijuverse for generations to come.
