Chapter 3: It’s Twins!
A few days past and the soul, now fully reincarnated in a body, spent those days slipping in and out of consciousness. It felt weak but still, it spent time gathering information. First bit of information gathered was the obvious, it had indeed reincarnated in the body of a baby girl. Second, they were no longer inhibited by whatever spell the goddess had them under, giving them free reign to think and feel whatever they wanted. ‘even got some of my memories back, can’t remember who I was though, but that goddess can go shove it’ they thought. Third, the world seemed primitive, the only source of light in the room currently being the open window.
‘but more importantly…’ the baby opened her eyes and looked to her right, only to see an identical copy of herself staring back at her. She raised her hand, and the copy did the same. She opened her mouth and just like the last time the baby followed suite. ‘this is so weird…’ thought the baby, she was seeing herself from both views, and could feel and control what both bodies were doing at the same time ‘It’s like I’m two people. Well, I guess I am?’ She attempted to move independently from her twin, and with a lot of effort she was able to, barely.
‘with this I can avoid suspicion, going to have to practice’ she sighed, looking at her twin to see her stare back ‘wounder which one the main body is…’ she pondered but was interrupted by an alert. [Level up! Hidden Title [Split Soul: 1> 2]] ‘oh right that was a thing, spent so long passed out I forgot, couldn’t I self-check or something?’ She tried to focus, and an image popped up in her mind.

‘Holy hell all the ones! And I guess this bodies name is Tia? And why is baby a title!? What does that even mean?’ Tia yelled out in her mind and as if to answer additional information popped up.

‘well, that answers that…hey wait, didn’t that bitch of a goddess give me a bunch of magic skills? Why do I have all the physical skills…unless’ after thinking about it and a quick check her twin body had the missing skills, and all the same titles and stats ‘so my other name is Miia? Going to take some getting used to if I can hear from both bodies at the same time, speaking of which why does this tittle have a level?” Tia focused on her status page, thinking about the information she wanted to look into.

‘Oh that fucking bitch!’ Tia swore in her mind, ‘she broke my soul and now its split?! If only she stopped and listened to that damn “Voice of The World” ‘she sighed ‘well at least I’m not dead, mental note: current goals, kick goddesses butt, get soul repaired, wait if I do that what happens to my other body?’ Tia looked over to her twin, Miia, only to see her staring back. Tia squinted, her twin doing the same, staring intensely into each other’s eyes, looking for some hint to see if there was anyone else in their shared two bodies.
Both groaned, giving up ‘who is to say Miia isn’t the original body anyways… oh well, identity crises for another day! moving back to more important, and more answerable questions. Skills!’ and with that she focused on her status page ‘So, weird voice, what’s the difference between titles and hidden titles?’

‘Ok, basic, I wonder how much damage it requires to get a resistance? And for both to be level 5 right off the bat… I’ll make you pay someday for that, Wind.’ Both raised their fist into the air in an act of defiance, but quickly let the hand fall after feeling tired ‘urgh, being a baby sucks. Let’s look at what is likely going to be a nightmare’

Tia raised an eyebrow ‘the effects seem nice but… what is with that last part? Why repeat the effect? The phrasing is a bit different...’ she decided to drop the issue and move on ‘lets check another black sheep.’

‘there it is again! Maybe it’s a fluke?”

‘No! its just her title and the skill the title granted?! What the hell?’ Tia was starting to panic, she took a deep breath and calmed herself down ‘ok no, maybe one more to make sure.’

‘…’ Tia stared at the skills ‘I can guess what the other one does and I’m just going to assume for whatever reason the skills associated to Wind have fucked up descriptions.’ Tia yawned, Miia following the motions but did not actually yawn ‘can check out the skills on Miia later, all of them seem straight forward and based on what I got on Tia and how basic the descriptions are I doubt [Wind magic:1] Is not anything you could guess’ she chuckled then sighed, looking around the empty room, Bored. ‘Don’t have anything better to do, so watch me! As I guess how basic it is!’ Tia took a deep breathe, hyping herself up and making Miia look towards her in anticipation. ‘Skill wind magic, the ability to use wind magic. Effect, boosts ability with wind magic based on level!” she thought and then focused on the skill.

‘Son of a bitch! So it’s not only her skills!? Is it everything wind related?!’ Tia and Miia let out a baby scream in frustration, which prompted the door to open “aww, are my babies hungry?” a sweat voice spoke.
