Violation of interdiction

Rolling along the ground I quickly realise that this is not what the quest meant.

> -1hp

Ouch! I think I hit another rock, that was painful!

I am really starting to move down this hill now, not sure how to stop this, as my legs just seem to make me wobble a bit while rolling.

> You have hit a Giant Isopode for 12 damage

>

> Giant Isopode is dead

>

> Exp Revieved 100

I come to a halt in what looks like the middle of a small puddle

Wait, Isopode... That means centipede from what I remember.

That means this isn't a puddle of water, it's a puddle of bug guts.

ugh, this is gross, very glad I do not seem to have a sense of smell or taste right now.

> Level up! you have reached Level 2

>

> Your race of rock elemental gains you +1 Constitution per level, plus you get to choose an additional stat point

With the way that movement just went, I quickly place that point into dexterity. If this is anything like a video game, that should help me with walking.

I stretch my legs slightly, I think they can rotate a bit further now.

Wriggling myself a little, I find that I can rotate on the spot into a standing position.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Now while standing, I start moving one leg at a time and start traversing very slowly back up the hill. I have to see if there was anything else there, And I still need to finish my quest.

One step.

Two step.

This method of walking, while working, does make you feel a bit dizzy from all the rotating.

Around 15 or 20 minutes later I make it to the top of the small hill.

At least rock elementals have one thing going for them, they don't seem to get tired, I can just move and move and move.

Walking around my starting zone I have a look at some rocks nearby, maybe they are other rock elementals?

> Skill unlocked, Examine

>

> Examine : You see a rock, probably granite.

Well, I guess I got a skill at least

I examine a few other things around me

> Examine : you see an oak tree

>

> Examine : you see an oak branch

>

> Examine : you see an Elk Level 8

Oh damn, that last one was a bit further away, but at level 8 I don't think I want to mess with it. Luckily it doesn't seem to of noticed me, or maybe It just doesn't care about a rock.

> Warning, you receive very little Exp for creatures more than 5 levels above or below you.

Ah, that sort of helps. Guess leveling is a bit of a paradox, if you are low-level things won't bother, but if you are high level you can defend yourself.

But if you level up to be above the average, then anything coming through that is above that level, will find you the most tempting target around.

> Quest Completed, you have had a look around

>

> 50 exp gained.

>

> Current Exp 50/150

I guess exp required raises each time, level 2 was 50 exp, level 3 was 100 exp and level 4 is 150 exp, I guess its a linear increase each time? that shouldn't be so bad.

I sit there in the clearing watching the elk until it leaves.

I realise I have no idea what time of day it is, what anything in the distance is, or where I should be going.

All I know is that there was a giant centipede down the hill that way. Deciding that the other direction must be a much better way to go, I slowly, but carefully start walking down the trail on the other side.

I pass by lots of trees, It feels like a dirt hiking trail through a forest from what I can tell, which I am glad for. I have no idea how I would get through the underbrush in this body.

I come to what looks like a stream, I can see it in the distance as it vibrates along the rocky shore.

I walk up to it and as I get closer I realise that there is something nearby drinking out of it, and It does not seem to like the looks of me.

I feel a grumble through the air as the wolf growls at me, outlining its face in detail.
