Duke Seymour followed his King as he ran to keep up with him. He could sense his fury even though his back was facing him. King Kieran had calmed himself down in the courtroom before he destroyed everything and everyone around him in his rage. But Seymour was not confident that he could appease his King again. The matter regarding the missing people had elicited such a strong reaction from the powerful man that Seymour was now worried.
'What happened to His Majesty?' He wondered as he hurried along the familiar walls of the corridor. 'Why did he lose his composure before? Does he know something about the missing people?' His thoughts ran wild, but he did not stop walking and eventually entered his King's room which he was familiar with. He had long realized he was the only human allowed to enter this corridor, let alone the King's chamber.
Seymour searched for the King after he closed the door behind him, only to find the man looking outside with his hands behind his back. At other times, when Seymour had experienced a similar setting, he could only see his King's forlorn back. But this time, he sensed something else, an emotion stronger than his loneliness. He sensed the anger radiating off his King, which did not seem normal. It was particularly intense and impossible to ignore.
Neither Seymour nor his King spoke for a long time. The only sound in the room was the fire crackling in the hearth and the old Duke's frightened breathing. While Seymour did not know what to say, his King did not know how to say what he had in mind.
"Castiel," Kieran uttered loud enough for Saymour to hear.
Kieran clenched his fists and closed his eyes as he stared at the garden from the balcony. But the pleasant view in front of him could do nothing to subdue the fury in him. He was infuriated, he was livid and it was all because of his brother, Castiel. He knew the perpetrator behind the missing people and what might have happened to them after being caught by his brother.
Kieran was not a stranger to his brother's tactics and had long witnessed his cruel and vicious acts, including his obsession with hunting down beautiful women. Many times, Kieran had lost his calm and set out to destroy the man who was destroying innocent women's lives. But every time, he had failed. Every plan of his had been a failure and Kieran did not know what more he had to do to end his brother for good.
"Castiel," Kieran exclaimed. Even though he tried to mask his emotions, his trusted man caught onto them immediately. Seymour frowned as soon as he heard the name. Though it was not the first time he listened to his name, it was not a name his King regularly took too. He had already found out about the feud between the brother, though he did not know the reason behind their enmity.

"Your Majesty?" Seymour could not discern why his King was speaking about his brother suddenly.
"Castiel is the reason behind the missing women." He explained and Seymour finally understood. But his heart thudded in fear when he heard his King's following words. "The women, by now, would be dead and sucked off their blood completely."
When Seymour heard his King's words, his face paled in fear and his breathing quickened. He already knew what his King was and what he needed the most for his survival. But, other than when he had seen him hold a chalice filled with blood, he had never seen his King kill anyone for their blood, or even if he had done it, Seymour had no idea about it.
This was not Seymour's first hearing about blood-sucking monsters killing humans to satisfy their hunger. But this was the first time his King had perceived who the perpetrator was without even having to look more into the matter.
Tremors went down his body as soon as he imagined how scared the women might have been after encountering a monster like Castiel. Just the thought alone was enough to give him nightmares and he wondered how many more women would become his prey before his King dealt with him.
"What do we do now, Your Majesty? How do we deal with this matter?" Seymour queried, vexed by the situation they were suddenly facing.
"Castiel has been blessed by the dark witches, Seymour. It is not that easy to kill him." Kieran revealed the secret he had hidden in the deepest parts of his heart and mind for years. Nobody but him knew about his brother's concealed specialty.
"I do not understand, Your Majesty. Can we not use juniper against him or push a stake through his heart?"
"We can, Seymour. We can. Though juniper is efficient in rendering him weak, it will not kill him, and pushing a stake through his heart will not work on him." Kieran turned to face the man, who had a puzzled look on his face. "Castiel cannot be killed that easily. As I have said before, he has been blessed by the dark witches. I can only kill his body, I cannot kill him."
Seymour's eyes widened in shock and he more or less understood what his King was trying to say. But he was still in denial to think that something so bizarre and terrifying was even possible. "Your Majesty, he...he..he...does he.."
Kieran understood what Seymour was trying to ask and he nodded at him. "Yes, Castiel can migrate from one body to another. Once his previous body dies, his soul can jump into another body of his liking and once that happens, he too will become a blood-sucking monster like him."
Kieran disclosed the mortifying secret, and for a moment, Seymour's feet gave away. The world around him spun and he held onto the table beside him for support. He had never been this scared of anyone; for the first time, he felt how horrifying the people with superpowers were.
"How do..do we handle him then, Your Majesty? If we can..cannot kill him, how do we..."
"Although I cannot kill Castiel, I can put him to sleep temporarily."
"How, Your Majesty?"
"Every time Castiel is killed, his soul goes into slumber for a year. It will only wake up after a year passes." Kieran divulged and Seymour thought about it with his brows narrowed.
"Your Majesty," He bit his lip before he lifted his eyes to meet the King in the eye. "Is there any way we can kill Castiel forever?"
"There is." Kieran nodded and Seymour looked at him hopefully, waiting for him to continue. "But I do not know it."
