Chapter 3

The man chuckled. Azron took this to mean he had responded to the question in the right way. Thinking about the man for the first time since meeting him azron really looked at him. His face was smooth apart a scar starting from the bridge of the nose to his left cheekbone. His hair was pulled back and tied into a small bun at the back of his head (Think ronin style not man-bun) His eyes were a warm brown with two rings on the outside of his irises one white one black. After analyzing all this azron had a question for the man.

“Sir if I may ask what is your name” (Azron)

The man looked at him with a bemused expression

“Boy, no Azron, i'm surprised you hadn't asked sooner” (Man)

“The name is Tenelux” (Tenelux)

“Well thank you mister Tenelux” (Azron)

“Why?” the man asked slightly confused

“Why wouldn't I, I have no doubt that if you didn't save me I would be dead” (Azron)

“Ahh I see, well you're welcome” said Tenelux looking slightly perturbed.

Ha it looks like Tenelux isn't the greatest at accepting thanks.

“Any way Azron shall we get some food” (Tenelux)

After saying this tenelux got up and grabbed his bag.

Getting out of the bed Azron noticed something.

“Sir, would you happen to have some clothes?” (Azron)

“Ah yes’ (Tenelux)

Reaching into his bag Tenelux brought out some cotton slacks and shirt. Mentioning that they may be a bit large. Putting the clothes on they were inside large. Azron had to fold up the sleeves multiple times and tie a short rope around his waist. After this the two went down the restaurant part of the inn. The innkeep looked slightly surprised upon seeing me, I wonder why. Anyway we got a table for four, seeing this I assume that there are two more to Tenelux group. I ask and he confirms my assumption, there are two more to his group named Helion and Havesh. He says he’ll give me some silvers if I can guess which of the two are female or male respectively. I think there must be some trick to it so I let it slide by saying that i'll try. At that he reveals a sly grin. After ordering food I ask a question that has bugged me since my journey with my parents.

“Sir, Do you know what this essence thing my parents mentioned was” (Azron)

Tenelux stops eating and with some food still in his mouths looks at me with an expression as if he was saying finally.

“Finally you ask, I was wondering when you would get to that” (Azron)

Predictable I thought.

“Azron are you familiar with magic?” (Tenelux)

Of course I am who wouldn't, Magic is the weaponry of this country, every one as a child hears of it and its casters. However instead of being sarcastic I reply modestly.

“Yes sir I am” (Azron)

“Good well according to your earlier story you used it”

Excuse me? Magic is shooting fire from your hand and controlling the raw elements of the world. Not being suddenly physically strong.

“Excuse me sir but that's not what magic is” (Azron)

“Oh” Tenelux said looking slightly amused (Tenelux)

“Well please enlighten me”  (Tenelux)

“ Magic is the power to use the raw element to do your will” (Azron)

“And is that it?” (Tenelux)

I could tell he was laughing at me, On the inside his face remained impassive.

“Well I know now that isn't everything” (Azron)

“Oh” (Tenlux)

“Don't oh me just explain” (Azron)

Now that he knows that I know that I was wrong he’s teasing me. Dammit.

So he went into explanation. First he started with what I experienced called the awakening. The awakening can happen at anytime and with any circumstance. In short I was lucky. When one awakens naturally they can perform magic, however the raw energy of magic is straining on a person's body so in turn your body becomes stronger.

“So that's how I became stronger earlier” (Azron)

“Yes, now shut up i'm not finished” (Tenelux)

Jeez alright. He continues.

Naturally when we awaken we have specific essences which dictate what kind of magic we can use. Now of course this doesn't mean someone born of fire can never use water. It just means it takes more effort and time to learn. He then moves on the explaining essences.

Essences are essentially our souls as he called them. They are usually in the shape of a weapons or a beast. At this point he said we would take a look at mine later. These shapes usually dictate how we can fight or use our power. For example a strictly landlocked shape can never fly without outside assistance. Like a mammoth or other large shapes. Animal such as cat types have no such restrictions.

Next is the elemental types. These appear as little balls of the element above the essence shape. When you awaken you awaken one of the big six elements : Fire, Water, Wind , Earth , light and dark. Although some call them the big two seeing as there is light and dark variations of every element. Such as hellfire of holy flame. Variations tend to have special effects.

The Fire, Water , Wind and earth elements all have sub elemental routes in them respectively.

He starts to mention the two way to use magic, something about physical and external when two silver haired guys sat down at our table.

Tenelux started to chuckle. I then realized these were the two he mentioned.

“So Azron do I owe you a silver?” Questioned Tenelux (Tenelux)

“I can't believe one or either of them are girls” I say out loud (Azron)

That earned me a glare from the scary one. When I say one I mean both because there is no way to tell them apart.

“So since you obviously lost the silver, wanna know the trick?” (Tenelux)

“Sure” I say looking between the two.

He looks at the two of them and starts talking, they respond and I understand immediately. One speaks it's as if the most beautiful music is being played, and then the other well let's just say some things are not meant to be heard.

Seeing my expression tenelux grins and the twin with the voice that will forever be known as rock voice grimaces.

“Sir, the reason we are here I hope you have not forgotten” (Angel Voice)

“I know disrupt the balance, our duty as hunters” (Tenelux)

“Eh?” (Azron)

So next chapter we find out about avrins power and world structure.

I'm just now seeing how hard it is to actually write and plan things out.
