"Ugh, what in the world is happening..."
For pete's sake I was just going to the convenience store, I have to go back to my room quick or my cat will mess it up from hunger.
I tried opening my eyes but I wasn't able to, even my hands, no, my whole body wasn't listening to me. I can't move one inch but nothing is binding me.
All of a sudden I felt a strong force pulling me.
"Forgive me for my rudeness, I only prepared coffee since you seem to prefer this over tea."
I can finally open my eyes-- huh?
I was sitting on a white chair, and my hands were holding a coffee mug. I looked across the table in front of me, and behold, the dreams of all degenerates I've met online is here. A fairy, wait, a Goddess is in front of me.
"Is the coffee not to your liking I wonder?"
"Oh, um. No, it smells exactly as I brew it. You were just so beautiful I forgot to speak."
"You really are well versed in flattering women."
I laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of my head.
"Etto... Excuse me but.. I didn't die, did I?"
"Oh dear me, I was just about to tell you! How did you figure it out?"
She laughed too so we both laughed and a weird atmosphere formed around us.
So I really did die... did my dorm buddies place my hard drive into my coffin I wonder.
"Forgive me for making such a blunder that caused you to die. It wasn't really my intention to do so, it simply wasn't your time yet."
So it really happens huh, Gods doing blunders. What a typical light novel like progression.
"So how did I die? No matter how much of a deadbeat I was, I kept my body healthy, just enough to live humbly with no issues."
"Ehehehehe..."
The goddess smiled at me in a silly way.
"What is it?"
"Your soul vessel wasn't able to withstand my divine energy so you died in a second. It was painless right?"
She was still smiling like nothing is unusual about what she said while I was looking right at her.
"Is that really all?"
I stared directly at her beautiful face but no words came out of her perfect lips.
"..."
"..."
...And she looked away.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Why do I feel like this goddess isn't reliable at all.
"*ahem* Going back to what we really should discuss. You have been killed due my mistake, thus as 'it' decrees I must properly compensate you my victim."
"Um, aren't you the god of Earth? Who do you mean by the 'it'?"
"That knowledge is useless for you to know dear. I will answer your other questions aside from that. For example, that lady from three years ago who left you, until today she is in love with you."
"Huh? What she is? Wait no, that is the knowledge useless for me! I'm over it now." I was flustered by the bomb she suddenly dropped to me that my voice sounded weird.
"Ufufu. Is that so. Then mister lady killer, tell me. Do you wish to be reborn here in Earth? I cannot make you be you again by turning back time, that is just a waste. Or perhaps you would like to be sent to another world?"
The goddess' aura changed after giving her question. Now, she truly gives off a divine feeling unlike the goddesses that were depicted from various anime and comics in Earth.
However...
"Since you can probably read minds and my memories, do you even need to ask my dear goddess?"
"As I expected, to a world with magic then?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure of the blessing you ask of me?"
"Definitely."
"Very well. It shall be done."
Prismatic light glowed from the Goddess' hands and it shot into my body.
"I have one last question please if you don't mind."
"Hmm. Speak."
"How does *ne P**ce end?"
"Well that is one classic story for your generation no? It ends in year-*sorry censored*."
And that is how I, after dying for unclear reasons because of that goddess in Earth, was sent off to a different world, maybe even a different dimension or universe.
My blood that was stagnant for years finally began boiling once more.
Light surrounded me while an opening appeared behind where the Goddess stood, at first all I saw was darkness but then there were countless small lights appearing on that black hole, a sea of stars appeared before me.
The light that was surrounding me started to move into the space and the Goddess waved at me.
"Have a safe trip and a happy life to you ------!"
Oh man, if this was just a dream then by just witnessing that smile made it totally worth it even if it would've made me sad by giving me false isekai hope.
And with that, I left this world Earth with no regrets.
