chapter one

I cock my head to the side, almost falling off the desk as I tried to catch the hottest girl in school, walking by. She had an ass that could legit, stop traffic. Plus she was blessed with beautiful genes. Yet, like most people wealthier than the majority of the students, she had a terrible personality. Having wealthy parents is a blessing and a curse.

Yet this didn't stop any of us guys from twisting our necks to watch her walk by.

"Are you guys really so thirsty?" Brenna started on her sister rant again. "Can you guys at least act like us sisters are right here? Value us more than for a quick lay before you go chase a girl who doesn't even care about your broke ass!"

I step off the desk upon hearing the sounds of high heels clicking on the tile floor in the hallway. My butt baby hit the cheap plastic chair, when Taylor punched my arm.

"You coming to the party tonight? The 9th street boys are going to be there." He said while looking way too eager for a block party that ain't going to have anything other than cheap liquor and thots.

I shook my head and turned around, easily pulling out my pre-arrange homework out of my backpack.

"Naw, fam. I have work. Plus I have a modeling gig set up this weekend."

This was merely me coming up with some excuse to get rid of my childhood friend, who still hadn't grown up. I have been ditching him often enough that he should have gotten the clue by now but I couldn't figure out why he was trying so hard to hang on to my leg.

"When are you going to get me a gig? I'm good looking enough." Taylor dropped another subtle hint which made me rolled my eyes.

Not to brag but I was one of the three hottest guys in the city of LA. While he was just another guy but that isn't why I want to leave him behind. It's because we join the same gang and instead of doing anything important with the handouts the older guys gave us. He spent it all on clothes and shoes. Whereas, I invested that money through a brokerage and greased some hands to get my face out there.

I just don't feel like he wants to succeed in life. He feels like the type of guy who will snitch when you snub him by accident after feeding him until his mid thirties. This is just me preparing to keep all negative influences away.

"Those with after school jobs or who have cars, can leave after turning in your homework." Mrs. O'Neal voice rang out as her long white calves stepped into the classroom first. Mrs. O'Neal was really one of those hot milfs that everybody wanted to get close to. Plus she was down to earth and not as stuck up as some teachers even though we were days away from graduation.

I slipped into the line that formed in front of her neat brown oak desk. My shoulders felt sore from watching Taylor get up like he had either. Guy was going to bum another ride from me without a hint of guilt.

Just like I thought, when I stepped out of the classroom and smiled at Sabrina's sexy ass. The girl looked good in anything she wore but today those ripped jeans and blue sweatshirt that showcased her reddish brown left shoulder had me thinking about her without.

I held out my hand for her backpack and she tossed it towards me instead. Her thick pink lips smacking on ice cool gum had me wanting to lean over and suck on them but that look. I mean, the look that said 'like what you see? Bye!' Followed by a quicken of her footsteps but that was fine. She might not look like a dime overall but she was definitely an eight or higher. I know this because my eyes followed those two back pockets and I was sure as shit, that my head was bouncing to the beat.

However, I had no choice but to take my eyes off her and look back at the only dumbass who ran up and grabbed me. Like bro, come on!

"Drop me off at my house." Taylor didn't say it in a way that implied he was asking. Which is odd because I was definitely bigger in muscle mass than he was. Ignoring the animal in me, I could break his skinny ass very easily.

I shook his hand off me and sighed, "bro, I am going to need gas money from you. You are way out of my way."

This fool began digging into his pockets and pulled out a wad of cash that smelled like bud. Knowing the fool, it probably held an ounce that he  polish off during lunch. He sniffed it like he didn't know he had shit in it before. Then had the nerve to look at me all innocent like.

"I got you next time."

I could honestly, only shake my head as I stepped into the sun. Beads of sweat grace my nose and I only just walk under the glare of the sun. What a shitty day!

"If you dump her, let me get those digits. She is fine. Oh so, fine!" This fool had the nerve to lick his lips and rub his hand together.

I closed my eyes and unlocked my escalade before ducking out of this blasted heat. I cranked up my air conditioner while pulling at the seat belt.

"Why do you still hang out with this joke?" Sabrina sneered and buckled up and pulled out her phone.

"Joke? Me? You lost your damn mind. I'm the shit."

"You're really great at being a disappointment."

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

"Are you really talking shit with that crackhead mom of yours?"

"Imagine talking about someone's mother when your mother doesn't even want you. Life must be hard for you with your dad even giving up on you."

Taylor started turning red and I had to put an end to it before he tried to do someone embarrassing.

"You're staying over at my house this weekend, right?" I expertly slid into the fight.

Sabrina shrugged, "yeah unless you aren't going to be home. Then I was thinking about hanging out with my friends."

"I have some stuff to do during the day but i'll be home at night. You can bring your friends over while I am working."

"How come you haven't invited me over to your crib?" Taylor jumped to the edge of the seat, his fingers digging into the back of my headrest.

"You smoke and she doesn't. Plus she can cook, clean, and be responsible enough to not throw a party at my crib."

"Bro, it was only one time. Stop hanging onto the past."

"Sit your ass back and put on your seat belt. If I get a ticket I'll beat your ass."

"Tsk, you.." he slammed back into the chair and I caught the click of the buckle. "Change every since you made it big. Treat hoes better than your brother."

"Of course, he would respect me more. You are just a waste of oxygen. Still sagging like that shit cool. When are you going to grow up?" Sabrina snapped and I sighed.

I was so glad his home was just up the street. I cranked up the music while they broke out into another fierce argument.

"Okay, we are here. Out."

Taylor let loose something that probably shouldn't be said but I ignored it. I won't have to fuck with him after today. As a senior, I was graduating and the school sent my diploma in the mail. I had no desire to walk on stage or hang out with any of my former classmates beside Sabrina.

"Stop by my house so I can get clothes." Sabrina placed her hand on my lap and I instantly got hard.

"Aight. Are you going to finally move in with me?"

"Of course not."

"Why not?"

"Because I can do better than you."

Oho, better than me? A noble light skin model with a movie under my belt. Even if I only had less than twenty minutes of screen time.

"Let me know when you find someone better than me. I'll be happy to break their legs."

Sabrina turned up the music louder and stared at her phone. I couldn’t stop the laughter that pooled out of me.

By the time we pulled up at the apartment complex, she was all heated up for some reason. However, I only had to look at her mother's fine ass to know why. The woman was in a tank top and boxers with her ass hanging out the window of a black bmw. Probably trying to talk whoever that was into giving her a discount.

Sabrina rushed up the stairs and disappeared into an apartment while her mother walked over to me. I rolled down my window and put on a bright smile.

"Miss booth, how are you doing?" I definitely kept my eyes above her collar bone. Women get different when they catch you perving. Add onto the fact that Miss Booth also Sabrina's mother, world of trouble.

"She's going back to your house for the weekend?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Okay."

Miss Booth walked that fine ass upstairs and I wondered who allowed their daughters to sleep at another man's house. But then I remembered that this woman who people suspected to be crackhead, actually controlled one of the biggest gangs in South LA. Not only that but she also was a DEA agent. She probably had my public life sitting on her bedroom dresser.

I rolled the window back up the moment I lost sight of my eye candy. Life was way too good to suffer from a heatstroke.

* Meeting at 9 pm. -

*

I received a text from my boss and my mind automatically jumped to my boss who was actually a bloody undercover agent. Not really surprising that local gangs have undercover agents but it's amazing that my boss actually succeeded in becoming top dog. Yet, I can understand why. Other than managing some clubs and hotels, she really didn't do a lot. We didn't sell drugs, weapons, or women.

The organization was actually something created just to absorb all of us evolvers that happen to appear around four years ago. Honestly, this group was no better than movie governments who kidnap and experiment on mutants.

My head snapped up as Sabrina came stomping down the stairs with two black trash bags. They were fatter than her bubble gut and I wondered for a second whether I should get out and assist her. Yet, that sun was baking my ass through my illegal tinted windows. Good thing, she could throw that shit into the back by herself.

"Lets go." Sabrina threw the buckle on and I wondered what got her upset.

I pulled out and caught Miss Booth looking from the window as we drove away. Tis was a quiet trip all the way to my three bedroom house in an upscale neighborhood with actual police patrol.

You might think that police patrols aren't necessarily a good thing but you are wrong. House burglars are actually a prevalent theme. Mostly because these middle class workers post on social media that they are leaving for the weekend and they have so-so watching the house. Yet, the house watcher posted that they are going to a concert that same night. Guess who's about to come home with half their things professionally stolen. That's right, that very smart family.

I parked before the garage and rushed to grab her bags. Flashing her my, will you marry me, smile. Which she ignored and walked towards the porch like my effort was a common thing. Maybe it was.

I moved the bags to one hand and fished out the house key from the Keychain. You ever wanted to rush inside the house on a hot or cold day? I didn't right at this moment because my new neighbor came jogging up the sidewalk. I mean, if Sabrina wasn't right here, I would have definitely stopped turning the key to follow her. She had that perfect hourglass figure with the just right tone body and a hint of a feline grace. Sadly, I pushed open the door and watched Sabrina ass bounce up to the second floor and her bedroom.

"Are you cooking today or are we eating out?" I asked as I toss her bags on the bed.

She roughly started pulling clothes out. "I'll cook. What do you want to eat? Actually have you even went grocery shopping since last week?"

I rubbed the back of my neck as I sat on the dresser.

"I had a plan to go shopping but I totally been busy."

"I am sure you have been really busy."

"I have. You know I recently bought a couple acres. Plus the whole modeling gig and the club opening had me on my toes. I have been sweating out here."

"Congrats. How much time do you have before your things need you to go take care of them."

Why did she emphasize that with slamming her undergarments in the dresser?

"I have a meeting at 9. So I'll probably leave by 8. It's 1:55 now. Which leaves us with six hours."

I reached for her waist but she slapped my hand away.

"Lets go grocery shopping."

Grumbling, I slowly walked downstairs and back out into the burning heatwave. Life sometimes wasn't so great.
