Alissa stole a boiled egg from my plate but froze and rose. I spun out my chair, catching a hint of winter rose fragrance as I dropped to my knee, fist pounding my heart. This kind of salutation is kind of tedious but understandable in public. Maybe I should make my people do so when I return.
A white scroll slapped my cheek. "My brother is hunting an infant fire dragon. Go do what you want."
I grabbed the scroll as my body faded as I appeared outside. Shifting in one motion, I soared back towards the south. I didn't need directions to guess that a fire dragon would haunt warmer climates.
It took me three hours due to having to read the map provided. However, just arriving in the mighty plains of the south, I could smell the scent of burnt pine. With how a towering black pillar of smoke stood in the distance. I knew I was close.
Shifting back to my human form, I walked forward to the burnt village. These poor lads had their village made of clay, so the buildings were only blackened but the farmland was devastated. Poor farmers were crying on their knees.
I bent down and grabbed some of the soot, sniffing it to see if it had any sign of chi inside. After all, dragon fire wasn't magical but a mage fire was. Any mage could cast a decent illusion to frame a dragon.
Sadly, the soot didn't contain a trace of a magical element. But I could smell that this lass was female and quite young. I turned to the west after determining the direction of the black stains. One side of the huts were still an earthy brown color.
I began walking forward, enjoying the windy air that swept across the plain. This world would have been beautiful without an ounce of magic. That would mean I would have been the strongest instead of just another weakling.
My head turned to the sound of a roar, a very weak ass roar. Sighing, I thought I would have to wait a couple of weeks. Enjoy the local culture and stuff, yet.
Slipping a mask over my face, I was doing a bunch of jumps. Taking less than four minutes to stand upon a tree watching a company of warriors and mages battle a red dragon that wasn't even the size of my forearm.
The dragon spat out fireballs which is smarter than vomiting a stream of fire which locked her head into one direction. Yet, she was targeting the mages who had a team working together to keep up a barrier.
The warriors were firing arrows which were bouncing off but another two squads were handling batista. These two were what was causing her the greatest damage. Even if they didn't pierce her, the force acted as blunt damage. This would have been my first choice.
Pulling out a black and white, twin shortswords, I launched across the distance. With a swing, the day turned to night. With a second swing, a flash of light struck down like watching lightning.
There were no sounds in my dark domain. I only began slaughtering the batista crew and three mages when some mage dispelled my domain. I was impressed as I flew back and vanished. Appearing on the back of the fleeing young dumbass.
The dumbass head twisted to see me. I could smell the fire building up in her throat as she stared at me with fear.
-you should watch where you are flying.- I laughed as a large hammer slammed into her.
The fire dragon cried as she fell out of the sky like an out of control airplane. I shifted and grabbed the poor girl in my paw, holding her like one would a baby.
The brave warriors tried to swat me but I slapped him out of the sky. Fucker must not know who was the lord of the sky right now.
I watched the brave dragon slayer plummet down towards the plains faster than stocks after a CEO was caught harassing his co-workers. Not wanting to waste much time, I flapped my wings and shot forward like a missile..
Even with the baggage, I covered more than thousands of miles and landed in a deep forest that looked like someone went a little wild planting trees on mine craft.
Tapping the girl's forehead, I force her to transform into humanity form. Well, an elf form. I don't know why she chose such a slender form but I guess it wasn't bad. She was a thicker waist down but not abnormal. A lot of men would find her appealing if you ignore her red eyes that look so much like a fire in the fireplace.

I made a quick camp while waiting for her to stop pretending to be asleep. Though it was a good time to cook some food that wasn't either too spicy or sweet.
The girl's tummy growled continuously as the smell of the steak and potatoes cooked. She finally sat up after I started on the gravy. The first words out of her mouth sounded like elven but I learned enough to say, 'please die for me.'
-why did you save me?- she sent it as a thought upon seeing I didn't understand her.
-did you want to die? I can help you with that.- I responded as I poured the sauce over my roasted potatoes and steak.
-i just mean that blacks don't like my family.- Her eyes were glued to my plate.
-I need a mate and you just happen to be available.- I chuckled upon seeing her eyes widened as she licked her lips. I closed my lips around the fork full of steak and potatoes.
-i thank you for saving my life but I won't be your mate.- she spoke as if she had a choice.
I just smiled while eating. Filling up my plate when I polish off one portion.
-I'm going to leave.- she stood up and tried to walk away but our surroundings turned into pitch darkness.
Her heart beat was pounding louder than my lip smacking. A fiery orb lit up the domain and I dismissed it. She was mage, such means were definitely not going to keep her here.
-dont stop me or I won't hold back.- she snarled and I flicked my knife over. The hilt trembled as the blade buried into the tree beside her pretty oval face.
Poor lass took one look and started sweating. She released the fireball and sat down on the chair I provided.
-my family will not take kindly to this.-
I ignored her threat and pushed a plate to her. She needed the energy more than I did considering she had to heal the damage that left her pale white skin tainted with purple and yellow spots. We ate in silence until the sun dropped below the heavens and the moon began seeking the peak.
-let me ask you a question, why did you attack those villagers?- my eyes were on her but I couldn't help but smell another dragon coming upwind.
The lass looked at me with sauce stain cheeks. -what? You are a human lover?- she cackled as she turned as the sound of wind under thick leather wings.
I pulled out my dark blue longsword and casually swung it. A bright blue sword beam cut through the air landing perfectly upon the neck of a red dragon, four times bigger than this lass.
-i just think that killing kids is sinful.- I remarked as a loud earth shattering sound reverberated throughout the forest.
The poor lass turned around to see trees falling as dirt clouds surged towards us. It wasn't until the debris blew past us that we could make out red scales.
I appeared behind her as she noticed the lifeless eyes of whoever that was. The anger in her could be felt like June heatwave. She spun around, a fireball on her hand but my finger was already at her forehead.
The fire sputtered out as blue veins spreaded across her forehead, Down her entire body. What grace my ears was the worse bedside manner as she screamed like a banshee on drugs.
I know the blackwater was stabbing her like thousands of needles, healing her all the same. Imagine all those sensitive organs being prodded and poke with sharp objects. The eyes, brain, your oh so sensitive heart, and all felt worse than being flayed alive.
Her body curled up before she even hit the ground, yet she rolled around in the dangerous debris. If she wasn't a dragon, she would have definitely caused herself more pain both inside and out.
After collecting her comrade body and head, i returned to her side and replied the hollow needles torture skill. There was plenty of time to waste. By the time night fell, I was disappointed. Utterly so. Nobody else showed up and her screams turned into hoarse long breaths.
Tsk, I could only return.
I found the princess on the rampart awaiting me, the moment I appeared in the torch lights of the castle. She wore a frown that I would have suggested she remove if she had not been a platinum level expert. Her talent was just too frightening for someone so plain. It really made me a tiny bit envious.
"What took you so long?"
I was starting to miss that teasing little moss who tried to recruit me. Was this the now I got you, see my other side?
"It was windy."
The second princess' eyes twitched as she made me follow her back to her room. "Was my brother there?"
"No, just his retainer."
"Did you kill him?"
"No." Kill a plat rank guy who could knock an evil fire dragon out the air with a seven ton hammer? Come on now, be serious.
"You can leave." She had such disappointment in her voice but I doubt she was being realistic.
I slapped the guy out of the air and his body didn't explode upon either impact. Size makes a difference, it really does.
This just made me shake my head as I carried the little dragon girl to my room.
-if you didn't harm those kids, you would be as free as a bird. What a shame.-
I mocked the poor girl as she curled up in a corner, looking at me with bloodshot eyes as if I was the devil. I didn't bite her lips nor did I stab my nails into her palm. Only thing I did was exact a little vengeance for those kids.
Dragon girl held tons of resentment and hatred in those eyes. I mean, the way her cute little lips pulled at the corners, showcasing a bit of her fangs also spoke of her strong dislike. But I think what really nailed the signature look of 'I wish I could rip your head off,' was the way her nose had waves of wrinkles like how dogs snarl.
If she was hugging herself, while rocking back and forth. I might fear my life but, ah. Just a raise of my finger had her flinching and that attitude turning to primal fear. I wasn't one to revel in the fear of the weak but when you cross my bottom line. I could become a real nasty bastard.
Morning came with the usual annoying beams of optimism. It made getting out of bed easier but all the more disgusting at the same time. Though I was surprised that the girl didn't even try to leave. She just huddled up on the floor, taking in that moment of respite.
Mm, she was really good looking. Harming her further would just be being a spiteful dick. I could be righteous and teach her how to stray the line like a God-fearing person.
I nudged her as I grabbed my bathing stuff and an extra set of clothes for her. Dragon girl rubbed her expressive eyes as she stared at me with that same level of loathing she displayed last night.
Good thing a good soaking cures all stress or so I have been told.
