Lore Drop 3: About [Heroes]

Name:

A Hero's name is as important as its [Skill], it must be something they feel comfortable using as this will become their second [Identity]. Most [Heroes] use something they wish to be, something important to them... When they don't have something like that, they choose to use something that displays their [Skill] or their [Power].

Case in point we have [The American Crusader], someone who chose the name to prove he was someone who would fight for the right of his country to survive and strive to uphold their style of life when the powers to be wanted them to be purged from the face of the world. Granted he became a [Hero] at one of the darker times of Zanaam.

Background as an organization:

As the original [American Crusader] was part of an elite fighting force created during the First World War, his lifestyle and wishes were molded by the war machine. It is told that the first [American Crusader] was part of a special program to create a [Super Soldier] and was being trained while the first generation of [The Twelve] went to war to give time to this program to end.

He as the rest of the second iteration of [The Twelve] trained and was the trump card to stop the First World War. After their fight against [The Stygian Bane], the continued existence of [The Twelve] and the original [American Crusader] made it obvious that the government couldn't be trusted to direct the might of a [Hero].

So the original [American Crusader] decided to break from the war force directives and decided to strive as a lone organization, As [The Twelve] only survivor he had enough pull that some of the corporations decided to fund his venture and the military decided to leave him be.

This created the first superhero organization, he nurtured the new generations to come (Including his own successor), some speculate that the line of [American Crusaders] is made from father to son, as most of the American crusaders since the first iteration held striking resemblance between each other. Others speculate that his [Skill] can be passed down, and this makes each owner similar to the first.

Current Time:

Most [Hero] currently work for either a [Hero Assosiation] or for the [Goverment], the first one survives from donations from sponsors while the second survives on government salary.

The main difference is in their current work priority, while the first prioritize the well-being of their sponsors first and then that of others, the government [Hero] focuses on overall dangers.

Both are in the end [Heroes] and as such they are expected to fight against the evil in whatever form they find it.

The only ones exempt from these two examples are [The Twelve] as they don't give priority to either sponsors or government orders... And [Vigilantes].

Vigilantes:

They are [Powered] individuals that don't work for either [Hero Assosiations] or [Goverment], they use as an example [The Twelve] and claim that since they can, why can't anyone else?

These individuals are highly dangerous and should be avoided as possible. They are mostly ignored by other [Heroes] till they can find evidence of them committing a crime, in which case they are quickly labeled as [Villains] and put on wanted lists for [Hunters] to find and bring to authorities for corrective measures to be put in place.
