Hello again! Yes, my rate of writing is slow and I am sorry for that. But it is still here and it will be updated. It will just take a while. Enjoy the chapter and feel free to comment on how you feel the story is going. Also, if you see any mistakes be sure to point them out.

In the morning after I had slept, I was woken by the light sounds of footprints in my den. When I went to examine from what the sound originated from there was a few extra creatures. Some small jackals and a lizard looked like they just had woken up and moved a few paces. They had not attacked me nor it looked like they were going to attack me. For this reason I left them alone, it would be lonesome it being just me.
After I got up the creatures look as if they were frightened about what they had gotten themselves into. I went to hunt as I was hungry and I didn’t want my home to be destroyed by me trying to fight.
In a dense part of the wood lied a creature which on sight I knew would be a challenge to beat if it had seen me and had not already been engaged. The creature stood 8 foot tall with a head of a bull and the body of a man, this was most certainly a Minotaur.
It was in the middle of fighting 12 humans, all equipped with some plate mail armour, sword and shield. Even though they had this good protection it would still not die, they were very evenly matched.
I decided to wait until the Minotaur was weakened enough for me to kill and the humans weak enough to just want to go home without any trouble. After about 20 minutes or so of solid fighting both parties were breathing heavily, this was my chance. I leaped from the bushes right at the Minotaur’s neck to inflict a deadly blow, the Minotaur did not have time to react
As I tore through the neck of the Minotaur I heard fearful screams from the men
“A monster from the **** plains should not be here!”
“ I didn’t sign up for this!”
One of the men stayed, I say one of the men but really she was a female knight with more of a noble look. This one was probably the leader and also the only one who noticed I was not looking to kill them. She looked quite old, about 40 or so, she had blond hair and green eyes
She watched as I ate the Minotaur. She said nothing and done nothing, she just sat down next to me. Was she watching out while I eat? Did she want to talk? Or is a non-hostile towards humans monster that hard to find?
It took about 20 minutes on the whole to eat the monster, now only the bones and the loincloth are left. As I left the knight said
“Thank you” and left

It was not starting to get a little dark so I headed home. On the way, I ate a few rabbits and anything else I could find including this small bear looking thing.
When I arrived at my den it was pretty dark but not so dark as to go to sleep. So I dug for a while to extend the den. The other animals were still here and they didn’t look hungry or hostile. So I decided to make them their own little areas to sleep in and nudged them towards them. They settled in quite well and went to sleep.
When I woke up again I saw that the amount of animals increased again, still only by a few though. And again nothing was hostile. If I took a wild guess it is because this place has already been raided by humans so it won't be targeted for a while.
Again I went out hunting, I ate a lot of bears and this time, I even ate a deer which gave me better-moving speed. And after a while, a lingering feeling of fear jumped on me. I was near a small cave which would prompt me with
You are nearing the entrance of the dungeon [Cave of The Slime King]
Would you like to join the dungeon as a monster? Y/N
No, I didn't want to become a monster for a slime, it would be no fun. At least if I was a pet I might get the chance to go places.
But the fear kept even how far I got away, it was like someone or something was watching me, studying, waiting until I mess up. Which I did, I stubbed one of my toes on a rock and let out a small whine when a snake jumped me.
I didn’t have any time to react. But thanks to my better judgement I knew just what to do. Nothing. After it jumped at me, it could not manoeuvre through the air, then my spikes came up. The snake only saw doom at the last second, the moment it noticed it was already impaled on my one of my spikes.
I shook it off and started to eat it. After I ate all of it a message came up

Nice! *Ultra Rare* Let's have that one, I am very sure that will be helpful. After I went back home all the animals were still happy so I decided to make the den even bigger so that if any more come they would be welcome to stay.

(Three weeks later~~~)
Yet again I woke up, once again I found more creatures and again I hunted. This was life, it isn’t particularly fun but I do what I do to survive. So in the morning, I decided to wander off the normal path and start exploring. See if I could find a settlement, if I could find my brothers and sisters. If I could find something new or something old. Something warm or something cold…
In the morning, I set off, south instead of north, to the direction of where I found those humans only a few weeks ago. And surely enough I found something.
Or should I say someone. Or a group of people? There was a group of what looked like your bog standard bandits. Leather armour, greatsword, big muscles, small brain, you get the drift. But most note-worthy was the girl. It seemed that the bandits had captured this girl, to the extent of their villainy I know not... though I fear the worst. The girl looked barely 14 years of age to young to get kidnapped and find their way out.
To be completely honest when I saw them I knew what I was going to do there and then, for there were only 3 bandits. There could be more hiding in the shrubbery though it may be my only opportunity to at least try and who knows, the gods may deem it fit to reward my efforts.
I jumped at the throat of the biggest man, I bit with all my might and nearly decapitated him. Though now the element of surprise was lost I went for their leg, barely evading a knife getting thrown at me. They could now not move and were laying on the ground screaming whilst holding their leg.
Now for the last one more of a mage like person, staff, robes. He started chanting though I got to his neck before he could finish. I, in the last few weeks, have become oddly adept at killing. Anything I have encountered so far I could kill with ease. Which only raised more questions. Which were how am I not a boss or at least an elite monster yet? I will have to wait and see I suppose…
I went over to finish the man screaming and done so as quickly and painlessly as I could, he had suffered enough already. I ate the corpses of my prey and gained a skill

That’s helpful but now let's see if the girl is ok… and not too traumatised. I went over to where the girl is. She is blindfolded and her arms and legs were bound by rope. So no way that she could have seen me. It also seems as if she is unconscious. I checked her pulse to find out whether or not she was dead. She wasn’t dead but she was very cold and very much unconscious. She may die if left untended. Although I would like to heal her, as of now it really takes a toll on me to heal someone else.
So I picked her up and started to trace where the bandits had been. It had been 3 hours since I left before the unconscious girl had been saved and we were now nearing a light outside of the forest when the girl became conscious again. I predicted that this may happen so I had left her bounds untouched.
Because I am larger than your average wolf right now and her not being much bigger 5 foot she must feel like she is on a bed while on my back. Yes still taking in account of my spikes, hay isn't much different. My fur is just much softer
Another 10 minutes past before I got to the source of the light, it was a stone wall. It was a least 10 feet tall with torches on top. I circled the wall until I found an entrance. I was approaching when I heard a bell ringing and humans shouting.
“Sound the alarm!”
“Knight captain! A ****** walker has come!”
“Brace for impact!”
Yeah… Somehow I knew it wasn’t going to be that easy.
A squad of 20 soldiers wielding just tower shields blocked the entrance and another 10 stood in between the shields with spears. I didn’t need this…
I lied down on the ground, the girl was quite frantic though still stood no threat. The soldiers did though I did not want to show them that I was a potential threat.
After 5 minutes of silence, someone finally noticed I had someone on my back. Whispers came from the wall and then a loud female voice
“Move aside!”
From hearing that voice the one on my back cried a muffled cry towards the person. The person came up to me and unbound the girl and was about to get back when I stood up. The woman looked back and it was the female knight. I could rarely forget a face.
