The night goes uneventful. After supper Kol read the kids another bed time story. Come morning Kol left a little early this time hoping to be able to finished Peter's diary.

On his way to Rosseler's, Kol sees June walking in front of him.

Kol remembers what she said yesterday about them not needing to be friends. Respecting her boundaries Kol keeps his distance as they walk towards the same direction. He could not help but wonder if he should reach out, or she might just warm up eventually.

Eventually Kol sees June knocking at Rosseler's door.

(Perception D20) – 16

Rosseler comes out with a staff that looks like it has a pointed sea shell at the end decorated with colorful stones on rope wrapping around the shell. They both seem to converse, but too far for Kol to listen only until he got closer that he was able to catch the last bit of dialogue.

"Make sure you let anyone leave with those books. I'll be back soon" Rosseler waves Kol hello. "She's in charge and don't roam around the house."

Kol looks at June entering the house, then looks at Rosseler walking deep into the forest.

The two make their way to the library, Kol still keeping quiet.

"Hey guys. You sure took your time." David days chewing on bread sitting on the floor with his back on one of the shelves. "Good morning."

"Good morning." Kol replies as he finds his way to the shelf he left the diary. "you're early."

"Yeah. I brought bread for ross but he didn't want any. Do you guys want some?" David asked.

"Maybe later." Kol says as he remembered he also ate bread for breakfast this morning.

"I'm not hungry." Said June standing over one of the shelves. "Also, Rosseler said I was in charge."

David continued reading as if he didn't mind her being in charge.

Kol finds the diary and continued reading where he left off.

Entry 8-

The effects of the potion don't last, I've estimated its duration is about 12 hours. Even though the potion only last for 12 hours I still immediately give them another dose, if the subject was a person I wonder if it will last longer. The duration of the potion is shortened for goblin #2 who is subjected to food. God damn it, its my neighbor again I swear this old man probably likes me.

Entry-9

It has been a week since I started this experiment, I am sad to say that both goblins subjected to the potion has died. Goblin #2 who had food died after 4 days of constant exposure to the potion despite eating, while Goblin #3 the one without food died after 2 days of constant exposure to the potion. I only had 1 goblin left alive and it has been 1 week now, I gave her the potion but not around the clock. Goblin #1 was given small doses every other day and she manifested the same symptoms like the others, but when the potion wore off, she went back to normal. Eventually Goblin #1 remained symptomatic even without the potion.

Conclusion: If given in high doses in round the clock interval symptoms would manifest only when the victim is approaching its final hours.

Potion duration can be manipulated by the about of food consumed while under the effects of the potion. Estimated duration on a none controlled environment 4 hours.

If administered in small doses with a lapse in the interval symptoms will manifest early. Victim will eventually manifest symptoms even potion is no longer administered. Once symptoms manifest even without potion, death is inevitable. Estimated time of death would vary on the consumption of food. In my case victim lasted 6 hours after symptoms manifested.

Entry 10-

I'm bored right now. No bounties are coming in from the guild. No money as well to alcohol. I could still make a few bottles of the mind rot potion I might be able to sell them for a bit of coin. Probably pay for some entertainment at the tavern maybe bring home a girl that I could, Sigh. Who is it now? Hey, Josh. How are you? Are these for me? Thank you I love daises! Drinks? Yeah, I could go for some. It's your treat, right? Haha, you're spoiling me old timer.

Those last sentences in the entry made Kol pause. What happened to him? Why was he writing that way?

(Intelligence D20) – 15

After a while of thinking. Peter said he would be using the conjured hand to write since it was more convenient. Does that mean the hand was writing down the conversation Peter was having with this Josh person? If that is so, then the hand was moving on its own during his conversation.

Dropping the diary, Kol opened his spell book to the page where the spell Conjure Hand was written. Slowly concentrating the rings formed once again in the palm of his hand as he recited the words in the spell. The circle once again shattered and enveloped his hand, soon the glow detached and is now floating in front of him.

Waive. Kol thought. And immediately the hand waived as well. It responds to my thoughts. Kol thought to himself.

"Let me try imitating what peter did." He said as he mentally commanded the hand to copy the peter's diary into his spell book.

"Alright. So, if I start reading another book will it stop?" he thought to himself as he starts flicking through another book he took randomly from the shelves. "it's not stopping. Meaning after I give it a command it will continue to do so until I command it again to stop."

Excited from his discovery, he readies himself for the next experiment.

"Hand. Write down everything I say." The hand now with the quill readies itself.

"Hello." Kol said and almost in tandem the hand wrote it down. Kol Continued this experiment slowly getting further from the hand and only uttering a word each time. Finally, he decides to leave the library and closed the door. This time the hand couldn't see or hear him if it had the senses to.

"Hello my name is Kol." He said, Kol then ran back inside to check. He expected the result as evidence of the entries in peter's diary, but it still came as a shock to him. The hand in deed wrote down what Kol said even if he was in a completely different room. Kol tried this one more time, but he ran out of Rosseler's and when he returned the hand was gone. He had come to the conclusion that the hand is magically link to Kol mentally but at a certain point in range, otherwise the hand disappears.
