Helping hand

Entry 1-

The mind is what drives people to make good or bad decisions. What would happen if that person's mind is compromised? If that person committed murder, would it be their fault or the substance/ disease's fault? These are things that drove me to conduct my experiments.

Entry 2-

I have gathered ingredients that mostly attack the mind of the person who consumes it. Some give visions that can only be perceived by the victim, others give them uncontrollable shakes and tremors, and the rest would make the victim flaccid though they are awake they don't seem to receive any pain when inflicted upon them. White these ingredients I hope to make a potion strong enough to drive a person mad.

Entry 3-

I have successfully combined the potion, I call 'Mind Rot' though I have no test subjects. I have accepted a bounty of killing some goblins from the town of Greenflower. I hope to capture some or at least one of them to test my potion with.

Entry 4-

The goblins were fairly easy to deal with, they were no match for a 3rd level spell caster like me. I was able to subdue 3 goblins and have placed them in separate cages in my basement. I hope the neighbors won't be bothered by the noise.

Entry 5-

As of this moment my writing would be a little more about the current events since both my hands will be busy my conjured hand will be writing in my stead.

Kol pauses as he takes in the information. Conjured hand? He thinks to himself is that a spell? Maybe Peter wrote it down in here and it's a spell I could learn. Kol thinks to himself. Aside from the entries peter has made some of the pages are filled with sketches of the ingredients he gathered, so far there is nothing in the entries that indicate Peter to be a criminal. Unless you count the imprisonment of the Goblins illegal which Kol is not certain if it is.

Kol looks around and sees David reading a book in the corner with frustration is his face. He must not have understood something about the book he's reading. Kol thinks. Sees June on the other side reading and holding the book with one hand and with the other waiving in the air almost as she's writing something in the air. She must've found a spell already; I have to read faster. Kol thinks to himself.

Entry 6-

Goblin #1 would be my control and will be separated from the others. She is not allowed to see what the other goblins are experiencing for this experiment to work. I gave the potion to goblin #2 and #3, but I intend to not feed goblin #3 while continuing to give both of them the potions on a regular basis in order to determine if consumption of other substance would lessen the effects or not. Hold on someone's at the door.

Entry 7-

I under estimated the convenience of the conjured hand spell. It's more useful that I thought I was able to converse with my next-door neighbor while the hand administered the potion. In any case I wrote the spell down in case I found a way to modify the spell in the future.

Flipping to the next page a sketch of the runes and their pattern is drawn on with the words or incantation needed to conjure it.

Following the Pattern and reciting the incantation Kol's hand starts to glow with magical rings forming in the base of his palm, the circle shatters and wraps Kol's right hand with a blue glow. After a second the glow moves away from his hand and into the empty space in front of him still retaining the shape of Kol's hand and it just sits and floats in the air.

I did it. Kol internally screams as he now has successfully casted his first spell.

Immediately after Kol is startled by his system as it popped up right in front of him.

[You have unlocked blue energy]

-Converting relevant stat

The pop up disappears as the main system window appeared. Nothing changed in terms of his main attributes but he did notice the sudden appearance of a new attribute located under his Health.

[HP: 7]

[Blue En: 9/10]

"This is it. I'm officially a wizard." Kol says to himself as he dismisses the window. He smiles and looks down at the book at Peter's spell book. "I have to keep reading. Who knows what other spells I can learn."

His thoughts are interrupted as Rosseler stands from his corner with a smile in his face.

"you guys are fast learners. Now, copying a spell to your spell book will take time, which is why I have already enchanted every book in here including yours with the repair ability." Rosseler grabs a book and proceeded to demonstrate. "All you have to do it tear the page and attach it to your spell book. Wait a few seconds and your spell book will now magically attach it to itself as if it was never torn, while the book who's page you got will also magically grow its missing page back." He explains.

"These types of enchantment are mostly used for higher tier spell books but since I tend to do things faster than normal teachers, I enchanted every book in the library just to save time for my students." Rosseler says as he opens the door. "Copy the spells you found and we'll continue tomorrow." Gesturing to the window. It is now sunset.

Kol didn't notice the time. As far as he could remember this only happened when he was really engrossed at a new book or when he was spending time Nicole. Never the less he did what Rosseler instructed and copied the spell into his spell book. I can practice the spell tonight. He thought to himself putting Peter's book back where he found it.
