The council, composed of his late father's advisors, decides to bury him and crown the supreme judge as his replacement. However, to their surprise, Abdin survives the assassination attempt and manages to escape the kingdom. The council still intends to proceed with their plan of making the supreme judge the new king. However, the Arch Bishop confirms that Abdin is alive and declares that only he can rightfully assume the role of the king.
