“Cold…. It’s cold, I can’t feel myself. it’s freezing” echoed a soft voice of pain barely over a whisper in darkness “this cold…… I felt it before…… it was there earlier but, this is one is….. much intense….. eh… er..” her teeth clenched with eyebrows shivering.
In an empty space of darkness where light could not to seem to be reflecting an inch forth, there surrounded by an eerie silence, frozen spiky ice chains joined from all directions on a single girl who was trapped at the central point. Her hands tied to the back with it all the frozen chains binding around her from neck till toes. The spikes hurt her a lot as the chains were getting stiffer after every 25 seconds. It gained strength from her draining her energy and more chains grew on, connecting with the main one, new chain stretched out, swiftly taking around the girl and trapping her more.
As the spikes curled more on her, the blue ice chains were getting stained in red fluid by the blood of the girl. The pain was attacking her like needles that held on to her. She was in deep suffering, screams were trying to rip her throat but, the girl remained still in her position with her eyelids shut. Her eyelashes were drenched in tears and lips shurddered with every breath.
Her tears fluttering down, sparkling her cheeks with it flowing down her ears and chin. She was strung up straight by the shackles.
No words could be related to how much agony given by these chains was killing her heart yet, by all this she remained calm and patient.
“I have to wait…….. I must wait…… there was once when he told us that on a battlefield there is no hope…… but, each time this happened…… I always kept my trust…… I lived in Astiriya……… for its hope and they always trusted by my hope…” the girl could only speak these words trying to encourage herself as tears kept floating constantly “I have to wait…… I must wait….. they won’t let me down….. they never did….. they promised me to come and I'll wait…. I can………..I must….”
The darkness was filling over the space, absorbing every sight in it. It raise beneath her out of nowhere. As the mist floated upwards, it passed by the girl, giving her shivers of fear, suffocating her in cold with solitude, spreading an ice draft against her body, and the air growing colder with every breath.
“It’s getting darker and colder………. I can’t take it anymore…. But will wait no matter what..” she started feeling her consciousness drifting away but, held firm as she was determined to struggle knowing that they would come.

.............................................
Outside in peak of a battlefield, at the back of the war field, there was a hill, where there were three injured men standing in shock looking at the catastrophe held on the army. The brown patches of grass that once filled the plains were brought back but in a dreadful colour red, forming a life that once roamed the in battlefield. Hours had passed since both the armies dove into war yet, both sides fought relentlessly struggling for victory.
“For real?” asked the man in the left who was holding up the other man from under his one arm “that was our last formation…… what now, Your Majesty.”
This man was a King. He was holding another kingdom’s King who was severly injured and turned dumb by seeing him he rose in anger. His fist shuddered, taking a step he tried to move forward but, the King who held on him at the left asked him to stop struggling cause he was in no position to make another move. The number of fatalities rose and so did the tension.
The injured King wasn’t ready to stop when an alarm paused them all.
“YOUR MAJESTY, KING ALTAR!!!!” yelled a voice grabbing the attention of the three upon the hill.
All looked back to find a soldier riding his horse, heading straight towards them in worries.
“What now?!” panicked the helper King who carried the other one .
The soldier jumped from his horse and balanced himself on the ground as his horse ran aside, dashing straight he pushed himself climbing higher up towards the hill, exhausted
Arriving near them, tripping on his steps, catching up his breath, he exhaled and inhaled nonstop.
“What’s wrong?” asked the third one who was a Captain Knight “calm down…” he coaxed the soldier.
“Captain Ra’eed! This is terrible” spoke up the man in heavy breath still huffing and panting “our kingdom’s King…… The Masked King…… he’s been attacked….. There’s a huge threat behind….. please…. We have to retreat!”
“WHAT?!” all three exclaimed in shock out of their skin
He said in a much higher voice but calm “I don’t know but, we received an urgent reinforcement message from there. Please, Your Highness, King Altar take action…. It’s only matter of time when he will get stabbed by a sword.”
“SHUT UP!!” shouted King Altar in rage at the tired soldier “don’t talk such nonsense!”
“Your Highness,” said Captain Ra’eed trying to calm down the injured King before he explores in anger “please with all due respect calm down and take action, we mustn’t fall in here.”
“That’s right,” said the helper King “we can’t bend down our knees yet, there is still hope…”
King Altar remained silent filling in rage, he turned back looking at the war field down where the battles between multiple armies were taking place at the moment. The sound of metal clashing was heard loud. He had hoped he was imagining at first but, the number of people on the floor seemed to be more than the people standing. Soldiers were still fighting and enemies were arriving more in new units, equipped with shields and swords.
“That bastard will pay…. I swear” said the King inwards with a tightened fist. The fist opened in palm and roses high. All three men looked up at this signal growing shocked knowing what it really meant………….
