My eyes narrowed as I keenly eyed a simple lady bug which crawled across the palm of my right hand.
I had yet to transfer a single soul from its original body to a Glass vessel and if I couldn’t even transfer the soul of a bug, what hope did I have for a dragon, let alone an entire planet.
I…
I was almost getting tired of trying but I knew I what was in store for me.
A fiery death at the hands of the sun when it it’s own death arrived.
I had to at least try.
That was the whole point, right?
To stand, even in the face of the dreadful infinite.
But I could not stand.
Nor could I truly move.
A wave of melancholy washed over me as I sat in the Temple of Tablets.
I stood up and exited it, beholding the city I had playfully created.
One day, people would along the spiraling streets as they searched for answers of their own.
I ascended into the clouds and gazed upon myself.
A sphere of matter in the void.
I raised a brow upon seeing Akili kneeling next to a certain man in Central Hatua.
It seemed as though I would have to be content with watching the humanoids until I found my answers.
Akili and the man, who was Kuhani’s husband, knelt in a certain temple in Northern Hatua where they deeply bowed.
“You’ve grown into quite the capable young man.” The man, also known as Jicho, muttered while sitting upright.
Akili, unlike most men, wore a purple turban which signified that he, like most Blessed Sisters, went to school among them and studied about various subjects including magic. He specialized in military strategy and economics along with developing a master over Fire Magic and the fourth law, the Law of Erippu.
Something which couldn’t be seen because of his turban was a large horizontal scar along her neck.
“In just five years, you have taken your father’s mantle and served your duty well and wholeheartedly. It’s… admirable, really.” Jicho said as Akili sat up well before a bronze shrine of me.
“Thank you for the kind words.” Akili droned monotonously with half closed eyes.
“Yes… and now that you are this capable, I feel that now would be the best time to ask for a great favour. One which I plan to repay in full.”
“I will not kill your wife, if that’s what you’re asking.” Akili closed his eyes but Jicho weakly chuckled in response.
“I would never ask you to do that. No, I just want you to ensure that no more children are killed by her. And… you would gain a… most loyal ally if you… punished her for all that she put me through.”
Akili opened his eyes to see that Jicho’s face was twisted into a deep and desperate frown.
He nodded once before turning back to the shrine and bowing.
“I will speak to the Queen about this. Kuhani is her most senior Shangazi, after all. So rash action would only lead to unnecessary issues. If I receive permission to assist you, then I will but to what capacity remains yet to be seem “
“The fact that you are even willing to consider it is more than enough for this old man.” Jicho nodded.
Akili eventually stood up and left the temple.
He then made his way to the royal palace with his Fire Breakers in tow.
One of them, however, wore an iron chain and had no lips.
This was because Akili had ripped them off leaving nothing but scabby flesh.
Looking back, it wasn’t easy for him.
Of course an army of thousands of men wasn’t going to just accept the orders of a fifteen year old.
Mkubwa was one of the many who doubted Akili’s capabilities.
It got to the point that he outright disobeyed the boy and since he was the leader of a hundred warriors, he took them and their families to the desert beyond the Crystal Lands and tried establishing his own tribe.
Akili, however, in a desperate bid to prove himself, led a small team into the desert and was consequently defeated and captured.
He was then tortured and imprisoned while Ua sent a rescue team after her.
However, by the time they got to the camp, Akili, had not only subdued and chained Mkubwa, he had also hung every traitor and their families with iron chains.

What the knuckleheads had forgotten was that Akili was what could essentially be called a Blessed Brother and, using Life Magic, he incapacitated everyone in the camp after freeing himself.
He then bound Mkubwa with the same chain which once held him and sat on the warrior’s back as he kneeled, making once proud Fire Breaker watch as his mother, father and sister burnt alive within Glass fuelled flames.
Such was the price of treason.
When the rescue team entered the camp, Akili ordered that they simply accompany him and Mkubwa home, stating that the traitor’s punishment was complete.
Akili was then returned to Hatua where he sat all the warrior leaders down and asked if any of them had a problem with him being their general.
This was after rumours of his cruelty had begun to spread throughout Hatua.
None of the leaders spoke and it seemed as thought something had changed in the boy at that time.
He had found the only means to communicate with Ua’s monstrous army.
Fear.
If he was too lax, they did whatever they wanted and so he decided to take the form of an iron chain which tightly bound them in place.
Akili eventually reached the palace was allowed an audience with Ua who let out a yawn as she sat on one of the chairs in the dining room which bathed it the dining light of the setting sun.
Ua had finally developed a few wrinkles although her skin maintained a brilliant radiance.
“What awful timing you have. Musa just fell asleep-“
“Mama!”
Ua’s shoulders fell as a little boy rushed into the room while Akili took his seat opposite the Queen.
The boy ran up to Ua before jumping onto her legs.
“I forgot to ask if I could go outside tomorrow since you said I couldn’t today!” He yelled while holding her right hand as tightly as he could.
“And I forgot to remind you that you will never step a single step beyond these walls.” Ua scoffed making the boy’s face twist.
Ua's face stiffened as tears began welling in Musa’s eyes.
He then broke into a full and loud wail.
Ua’s lips began to tremble and she eventually caved in and wrapped her arms around Musa.
“Fine. I’ll let you leave… umm… once you grow big and strong enough to face the dangers of this world.”
“When will that be?” Musa sniffled making Ua turn to Akili who’s eyes widened a little.
“Err… when you’re fifteen?” Ua awkwardly smiled making Musa look up at her.
“And when will that be?”
“In a few more years- now, go back to sleep so that you can grow faster!”
Musa looked down for a moment.
He then nodded before getting off of Ua’s legs.
He dragged his feet to the room while Ua and Akili silently watched.
“Isn’t he six?” Akili asked with a tilted head but Ua sighed in response.
“Don’t remind me of how fast they grow. Anyway, you wanted to speak to me, so speak away.”
“It’s about Kuhani.”
“Ah… has her husband finally had enough?”
“It seems so.”
“So what did he ask you to do?” Ua asked with narrowed eyes.
“He simply wants to end the snuff fest.”
Ua nodded before tapping her chin.
“Alright. Feel free to confront my dear Kuhani but she is, as you know, a very important part of Hatua’s inner workings. Second to me in everything including the divine knowledge given to me by Our Lady. So, keep that in mind.”
Akili nodded before standing up to leave.
He bid Ua farewell and passed by his mother’s quarters on the way out.
Mpole gave her son a warm greeting before seeing him off and it wasn’t long before Akili was in front of a certain house although it was guarded by two Fire Breakers.
However, they quickly opened the door since Akili was Ua’s general and their commanding officer.
He entered the house and made his way to the basement where he witnessed a bizarre scene.
Held in various positions were five Shangazi and, as was now widely known, they were getting fucked by Fire Breakers. Ten, this time but that wasn’t what made this scene shocking.
No, this scene was shocking because each of the five women were at various stages of pregnancy… again.
None of them stopped what they were doing even as Akili stood by the entrance of the dimly lit room.
As for Kuhani, she was being held up by her legs by one Fire Breaker who had his penis balls deep in her ass while another relentlessly fucked her from the front.
Akili’s eyes flashed green and I saw that he was checking to see if any of the gestating children were still alive and the narrowing of his eyes made it seem as though he was relieved that they were.
The orgy eventually came to an end and Kuhani was left to rest next to a damp couch. The Fire Breakers then left without saying a word..
Kuhani turned her teary eyes to Akili before taking a deep breath and crawling onto her feet.
Out of breath, she stumbled towards the entrance and she gestured that Akili follow her with a nod.
The Shangazi then led the general to the bathroom where she collapsed into the large and deep bathtub, causing a ton of water to splash onto Akili but his face remained without expression.
Kuhani surfaced and gasped for air before facing Akili.
“Come on. Join aunty for a bit.”
Akili’s eyes narrowed but this just made Kuhani smile.
“Come now. If you’re going to punish me, then the least you could do is ease me into it.”
Akili let out a sigh before removing his robe, revealing his short slender body which was covered in scars. Scars which he chose to keep to add to his intense air.
His appearance differed greatly from Kuhani’s. She was small and, due to her comfortable life in Central Hatua, had a curvy figure.
Akili removed his turban and joined Kuhani in the water.
“Who was it? The Queen herself or my husband- bah, I guess it doesn’t really matter. Now that the Great General himself is here, I have no choice but to stop while I’m ahead. “ Kuhani sighed.
“There are two more conditions.”
“What?” Kuhani frowned.
“All of you must carry your children to term. Don’t worry, I will take care of them afterwards.”
Kuhani bit her teeth.
“I…” She began while placing the tip of her thumb in between her teeth.
“I have never birthed a living one before.” She whispered before shaking her head.
“Alright, I accept your terms but I must wonder why? Why would you want to stop this? We live in a prosperous Queendom. Food is plentiful and the people are happy. Why would you want to interfere in the harmless actions of a few? We even compensate our helpful Fire Breakers well.” Kuhani asked but at this point, Akili’s jaws were visibly clenched.
He took a breath before crossing his arms.
“Let me make myself clear, aunty. I despise you. Worse than maggots that feed on rotted flesh, you and your gaggle feast on the deaths of the unborn and that is something I cannot believe anyone has tolerated your existence for as long as they have.” Akili said with an unnerving calmness.
“But… you are the Queen’s left hand and I wouldn’t want to chop it off, regardless of how gangrenous it is.”
Kuhani’s face stiffened.
“How… impudent of you.” She scoffed before sighing.
“But I can feel your blade’s edge resting on my neck so I’ll concede. I’ll birth this child and find something else to pass the time-“
“There is still the other condition.” Akili said as darkness fully enveloped the room, allowing Kuhani to see that his eyes burnt dimly red.
“W-what is it?” Kuhani asked as Akili stood up.
“Your are of no use to me as you are now. What I want is… a cooperative colleague.” Akili growled as his eyes brightened.
What followed, strangely enough, was a few weeks of pampering as Kuhani carried her child to term.
But as soon as the little girl was born, Kuhani and the four other Shangazi were taken back to that basement where they were made to feel an equivalent amount of pain for every sick pleasure they indulged in. They had all of their bones broken and healed, were burnt, waterboarded and more all at the hands of Akili who said nothing throughout this time.
No matter how loudly they screamed and begged for forgiveness.
They were eventually made to swear an oath of servitude and absolute loyalty not to Ua… but to Akili alone.
