VAS started to light up for a moment after hearing John's query. A screen with the following information was presented to John:.
Childcare Artificial Intelligence
Basic settings to care for children until eight years old, such as how to walk, moral etiquette, and how to read. No SI Drive Sentient Intelligence Drive hardware is needed for a Sentient Intelligence to inhabit the complicated and ever-changing algorithm of the Sentient Intelligence. Complex Firewall The shelter possesses a highly complex firewall and shuffles its algorithm every hour or so. Without more data, it would take a while to hack. Firewall Cracks It seems the SI was able to bypass the firewall and end up creating a crack, but since the crack has been covered by the firewall, it is still the weakest point in the firewall. I was able to retrieve data from it, but extraction is slow. No Physical Entry Failed to detect any kind of physical door connecting the shelter and factory. Suspect teleportation was used as a connection between the two. No Data Storage So far, I cannot find any virtual storage. I did find a hidden compartment below the center room, but no information about what lies within. Sign of Life A small or weak life signal was detected, and I believe this is the reason for which the person mentioned in the logs was responsible.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
John went through the information given by VAS. Taking note of them as he creates his own window to record them on.
1. The shelter consists of 5 parts: the center room (a), the northern room (b), the southern room (c), the western room (d), and the eastern room (e).
1.a) The center room is probably the administrator room where the development for the shelter is meant to take place. 1.b) Let's call this the childcare room, where children are probably left to be taken care of by the childcare AI. 1.c) This here is clearly a resting area, and the barren space visible to me is probably where those supplies must have been placed, or at least some of them. Due to having no visual of the inside, I am uncertain. 1. d&e) I have no idea for these two, and I am sure that it was meant to be this way from the start. 2. The person who went in before leaving, according to the logs, must have left the thing in there, which probably is at least a baby. The strange thing for me is that he didn't stay, but quickly left. 3. Focusing on the shelter is not important right now.
“VAS, does the factory have some kind of emergency protocol or something?” John asked as he looked at the red blinking resource bar above the 3D blueprint.
VAS light up a bit as if busy. After a while, VAS replied, “Yes, and we can use this proto-call, but activating this proto-call will freeze other functions such as the blueprint and facilities other than the recycling facilities.”
John was not surprised, as he has suspected much, so he nodded at VAS and asked to start with the proto-call. Not long after, the whole area of the room became red, and a siren went off in the background as windows started popping up.
