Vert heavily sighs as he sits on his rock, bored out of his mind. He looks at the woman sleeping below him and lets out a long 'hmmmmmmmmmm'.
Vert had punched the door with an intense force but it did not budge at all, but what did happen was the whole cave system shook from the force of Vert punching an immovable object. Even though Vert almost caused his whole home to cave in on itself, there isn't even a crack in the door!
This was a week ago and Vert has spent all of his waking moments thinking of how to get out of the room. It seriously irritated Vert that the door didn't just shatter. Vert has never truly lost at anything mainly because he just uses his insane strength to win every situation he is put in, but this time, it seems like Vert will have to truly think something out. He will have to find a riddle or something, a hint to tell him a way out.
But something like that might not exist. Vert might be born to stay inside of this room for the rest of existence as a being. Deep down though, Vert doesn't want to believe this. He knows that there is something for him on the other side of that room and he will find it. He needs to find it.
One thing is first though, how does he deal with the woman grabbing at his ankles. Vert didn't mind the company that Emeralda gave him but now she was becoming clingy. She looks at Vert all the time when he isn't looking and Vert cannot yet comprehend why.
'Maybe something's wrong with her...' Vert thought as if examining a faulty product. Even now she was trying bring Vert closer to her but Vert unwrapped Emeralda's slender fingers from his metal boots and shook his head.
Standing up and stretching his arms over his head, Vert moans as his back cracks loudly from sitting still too long. The crack echoes throughout the dark room and Vert begins to investigate on any clues on how to escape. As he covers every single inch of the room, Vert comes to a final conclusion.
Nothing has changed and there aren't any hints on how to escape. He is trapped here for the rest of eternity and there is nothing that Vert can do about it...
'Unless.'
Vert looks back at the door and remembers how every intruder comes into Vert's room to try and kill him. They open the door and enter. Maybe if Vert just waits for someone to show up and open the door for him, then Vert can just kill them and leave.
Vert begins to laugh at his genius idea and slowly walks back over to his rock. Finally sitting down, Vert starts emitting a murderous intent full of anticipation that only a God can exert. Emeralda rolls over and begins to sweat in her sleep while the murderous intent fully rains down onto her. If she was awake, she would most likely be crying in fear, but since she is asleep then she will only have horrible nightmares. Nothing too serious right?
*The next day*
A room with 7 doors inside of it, with each door most likely resounding with death and destruction in the minds of the weak. The King of Zeneva looks at each door with a solemn yet stern look. The King Zanack II has lost good soldiers and close friends in his pursuit to become a God, but there seems to be a massive roadblock preventing Zanack from rising above the rest.
"The God of Death." Zanack says through his teeth, the sentence full of anger and hatred. No one has ever managed to defeat the God of Death, throwing the ritual of Godhood into an infinite loop of wasted effort. The other 6 Gods, The Goddess of Life, The God of Disease, The Goddess of Storms, The God of Health, The God of Sight, and The Goddess of Rage having all been defeated at some point in history, the ritual has been 6/7ths of the way completed for over 1,000 years now. There is also that final God in every King's way.
And today, the King Zanack II, plans to eradicate this hellish being. No one has been ever made it out of the demonic looking door after entering and as Zanack places his hand onto the bone covered door, a shiver is sent up his spine. Zanack begins to break out in a cold sweat as he can feel the murderous pressure of something incomprehensible on the other side of this door.
Zanack takes a few deep breaths and a hand is placed on Zanack's shoulder. Zanack turns to see his most trusted commander standing by him with a smile on her war scarred face.
"Don't worry my King, we will finally take down this horrendous creature, together."
Zanack chuckles and smiles to the woman that is also his mistress. The two have been through many wars and battles together and Zanack feels safe when she is around, like he could do anything.
"You're right. Let us go and eliminate the God of Death once and for all!" Zanack yells and is followed by an "Oorah!" from his soldiers and heroes. Zanack puts all of his strength into the door and it opens easily, though, Zanack will soon wish he had never opened that door.
A wave of death and sorrow soared out of the room and onto the army inside of the cave. Anyone who did not have a strong willpower died instantly. The sound of metal colliding with the rock solid floor is etched into Zanack's soul as most of his soldiers have died instantly. The only people left were the remaining 11 of the 13 heroes, and Zanack himself.
The stench of decay looms over Zanack as the corpses have already started rotting, causing Zanack to begin gagging.
"Hahahahah! Thank you for releasing me from my tomb! Your reward is a sweet and painless death!" Vert yells at the tops of his lungs to the intruders that have sealed their utter demise.
The ground shaking roar of Vert forces the 12 remaining people alive to completely cover their ears and wince in pain. Something about Vert's shout was abnormal to them as it was amplified several times louder than it should've been.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Zanack finally regains himself and brushes his long blonde hair covering his eyes to the side, finally getting a good look at the monster before him. Vert is intimidatingly tall being 6'5 (a little over 195cm for you Metric System readers) and his body is slim yet his ripped and the tone muscles on his body say that he is not to be underestimated in a brawl in strength.
Zanack grinds his teeth back and forth with extreme force as his final obstacle in standing in front of him yet he doesn't feel excited, or is full of anticipation, all Zanack can feel is a deep numbness and fear. Zanack can hear the shaking of armor of his comrades and it brings Zanack to his senses.
The numbness fades away and calmness flushes over Zanack. Zanack has a goal that he must accomplish and he knows that his comrades are commendable and capable, so there is nothing to worry about... Right?
"God of Death! You have been a thorn in my kingdom for a long time, but here and now, your time is coming to an end!" Zanack yells with a hoarse voice but there is a small hint in confidence in it.
Vert chuckles and glares at Zanack with an eyebrow raised. After a thorough examination, Vert shrugs his shoulder.
"Alright, try me, but I'll keep my promise. Your death will be painless, for the most part.... Pump the Beat."
A shockwave of power is emitted from Vert's body and blows wind in every direction in the dark and damp cave. The human heroes and their king is forced to shield their eyes or they will risk debris ruining their eyesight forever.
A strange sound follows the shockwaves yet no one really understands or knows what it is. It is a song called Pump the Beat that boasts hard beats that matches Vert's hard hits in fights. This song was of course to stave Vert's boredom as he fights these weaklings.
As the unusual and shrill sounding beats play, Vert begins his onslaught by aiming for the guy directly in the back.
WHOOOOSHH~!
Using his insane speed, Vert rushes towards the wall to the right of the Human's and runs up it, not losing his speed on the way. Moving from 0 to a speed the untrained eye cannot speed caused a loud sound to boom throughout the cave system and more wind to pulsate as if the cave was breathing heavily.
With Vert running up the wall, he then proceeds to the ceiling and makes it above the hero directly in the back. They have still yet to realize what has happened and Vert smiles. Flexing his legs and jumping with the power of a God, Vert sends himself towards the ground and he rears back his hand.
Having gauntlets that produce his songs, Vert values them highly yet he fights with them as they seem to be made of a material harder and sharper than anything Vert has faced so far. This is why he uses them to fight, plus the fact that they have sharp claws that are perfect for shredding apart anything with flesh.
A whistling sound is followed by another large boom and blood exploding all over the cave walls. The ground shatters under the force of Vert's fist as he smashes the man's body into a pulp without the other's realizing it yet. The heroes and their king finally turn around as the hard hitting music continues to pulse from Vert's gauntlets. His smile is maniacal and they can't help but shiver and cower in front of the god.
"He... He must be within the top 10 strongest Gods in the world! Maybe... maybe even higher than that!" King Zanack manages to choke out. He doesn't know what to do, this isn't something you can just fight and not end up with mostly every dead or severely injured. In fact, no one will even approach the God now due to his show of power. Except for one person.
"You... YOU KILLED MY SISTER AND HER CHILD! DIE GOD OF DEATH!" The woman's body glows a beautfiul hue of blue and water swirls around her savagely. A small water dragon forms and roars at the God as he simply sighs at the woman.
"God of Death this, God of Death that. Is that what your kind calls me?"
Vert chuckles for a second and nods his head, finally connecting the dots together and the music turns up louder, drowning out the roaring of the water dragon.
"If that's what you believe I am... Then I'll show you what death incarnate is really like."
Flashing out of their sight once more, Vert continues the one sided massacre as the beat drops and so doesn't the woman's head. Vert is now in the middle of the 10 heroes and their king and the fear controlling their body has finally faded away. They now realize it is either die fighting or be murdered like chickens.
Each hero prepares their own magic and beautiful lights of all kinds of colors shine throughout the whole cave. The waves of mana crashing against each other as Vert's raw power overwhelms all of his enemies. Emeralda becomes excited as she watches from behind the door with her head peaking around the corner.
She is amazed by the variations of the top tier magics that the humans can muster but it is a shame as it is being consumed by Vert's magic that is an unknown anomaly to everyone who sees it.
With incantations being thrown through the air and many magic circles coming into fruition around Vert trying to bind him, Vert simply shakes his head at the futile resistance and raises his hand in the air. He smiles as the final bass drop is building up and is willing to take attacks of the ants around him until the perfect timinig.
Finally the time has come and Vert smiles and says 3 powerful words. "Pump the Beat."
With a snap of his finger at the end of the word "Beat", he snaps his fingers. An explosion of Death Magic flows outwards from Vert in the form of a wave of darkness. He had never been good at holding back his power so all the heroes around him are disintigrated as the black waves of Death Magic flows over their bodies. Not even their souls survive as they too are engulfed in the waves and wiped out of existence.
As the Death Magic subsides and calms down, Vert has a big toothy smile as he is finally free of the boring room and can now roam the world... or so he thought.
A force stronger than Vert in every aspect pulls him back into the room as a horrified look is spread across his face.
"You bastards! YOU BASTARDS LET ME GO!" Vert yells as he claws at the floor to stop himself but to no avail. Finally the invisible force throws Vert back into his stone room and the door made of bones slams shut.
Vert is fuming with rage at this point and yells out loudly in anger.
"DAMN YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!"
Vert's breathing is heavy and his chest is heaving up and down as he is trying to calm his rage. Finally he takes a deep breath and the anger inside of him fades away. He then chuckles and looks up to the ceiling of the cave.
"Looks like I'm not truly a god as there is definitely a power above me... well atleast I still have my music and the pet."
Vert then smiles as he looks around the room for his one and only friend in the world right now... yet he can't find her.
"Huh?"
Vert tilts his head as another orb of light falls from the sky and into his hands. He cracks open the orb and his cold heart sinks to the bottom of his chest.
"Congrats God of Death! You have completed the Advanced Achievement only special to you! This achievement was 'Kill someone important to you'! The reward for this is the return of 10% of your powers! - Council of Gods"
As the information drills itself inside of his head, Vert is not bothered by it and turns towards the door where Emeralda was standing. Next to the door is a black pile of ash that reeks of Death Magic.
