Hoods

Khari rides his horse as hard as he can.

A young man formerly from India.

Short and fast.

He whispers to his horse to go faster as they came into the ruins.

The ruins look Roman inspired, but are still outside the copy of the European city.

There are pillars and hallways and walls dug out and excavated portions of glorious city, but it all has a strange, imaginative yet generic and fake vibe to it.

Khari jumps off his horse and hides behind a large pillar, gasping for air.

He pulls his rifle and gets ready. A generic one from the city. Barely fires.

Khari closes his eyes and listens.

Nobody yet.

But then, the footsteps.

They were slow and deliberate and horrifying.

The entourage of enemies are armed with guns, swords, and futuristic bionic arms.

But with all of this technology and advancements, they wear simple and horrifying brown and black sacked hoods over their faces, with smiley or frown faces painted across them crudely.

Khari feels for the necklace he has around his neck.

I must time it right.

The necklace he received in After. His gift.

The hoods know where Khari is.

They run to his location and turn to open fire.

Khari grabs his necklace and DISAPPEARS.

"Don't let him do that again! Time it!" A voice yells who is not hooded, across the way.

The hoods run around the ruins, looking for the young man.

3.2.1.

Khari appears again on top of one of the balconies of the ruins, and opens fire at the hooded foes.

One falls dead. The others open fire with their futuristic weapons and appendages.

The pillars explode and are shredded to pieces and fall over in a heap.

Khari jumps away from the explosion, looking for his horse.

Suddenly, he stops and moans.

A sword is through him.

He looks down at it, then looks up.

Wolfram before him.

Same enemy we saw before.

Khari smiles as he dies.

"No!" Wolfram screams, trying to grab the necklace.

Khari, on his dying breath, grabs his necklace and disappears, dying with it.

Wolfram reaches out to find him, but cannot.

He looks around the ruins angrily, then puts his sword away.
