Alan woke up late. He was still a bit tired and his head was empty. He grorily walked towards his food storage area, where he ate his breakfast consisting of a dried meat sandwich and a cup of water. It was bland, but that was the most he could get for his meditation sessions.
After eating, he slowly strode to a clearing and performed some basic exercises. When that was done, he started meditating, but the second he started, his eyes opened wide. A huge grin appeared on his face, washing away the sleepiness.
He jumped up in excitement and ran around in joy. His lifelong dream was one step closer to coming true. After some time, the child forced himself to sit down and entered a meditative stance once more. He probed the shell around him only to notice it’s absence. In its place was a thin layer, similar to its predecessor, however it was far thinner and allowed aura to pass through it. As he continues to observe, he sees that closed aura nodes can generate this layer for whatever reason.
The boy tried to gather natural energy only to get overwhelmed. A large amount of it gushed towards him and entered his body. He was forcefully ejected from the state of [ZETSU] and grunted in pain. He was reminded of the incident that happened during his awakening attempt. He got hit by lightning and accidentally let aura burst out of his body. It was not something one would forget easily, yet he somehow did.
But the child didn’t care for such things. It was time to test out his new power. He emitted his aura explosively and quickly regretted it. The pain was a good reminder, but nonetheless, he stubbornly performed the simplest principle of Shingen-ryu school of kung fu, [REN].
The pain slowly subsided as it decreased to the point of a dull ache. The boy ran to a nearby rock and hit it with his fist. His expectations greatly differed from reality. The expected rock shower was replaced with an audible cracking noise. The boulder only had large cracks, so it didn’t shatter. He quickly remembered that basic nen only allowed for minimal benefits. It’s true versatility came from [HATSUS].
A few tests later and Alan was sitting on the ground exhausted. He could only hold [REN] for three minutes. Granted, he wasn’t standing still, but that shouldn’t have decreased the time by that much. After some mental gymnastics, he calculated that he should be able to use [REN] for 7 minutes in his peak condition. The notion that a year of training only resulted in so little progress made him slightly downcast, but he steeled his resolve. While it might be true that he went through a year of training, he only trained his inside aura. A sigh could be heard as he fell backwards and closed his eyes.

When he woke up, he felt refreshed. He decided that now was the time to test his aura type. He brought the cup of water from earlier and placed a leaf on it. He focused his [REN] onto the cup but nothing happened. He was slightly surprised. Was he really a transmuter? The personality description didn’t fit at all. Given that no visual changes appeared, the taste of the water should be different. So he took a sip of water, only to realize it was no different from before. He was confused. Was he a specialist? There were only 5 documented effects and the result didn’t fit any of them. Or maybe he didn’t put enough aura into the cup of water? So he tried again with similar results. The water remained unchanged and the leaf didn’t move.
He sighed as he slumped onto the ground exhausted once more. ‘I guess I need more training,’ was the thought that went through his mind.
After a few seconds, his eyes reflected immense determination to grow stronger. He jumped onto his feet and repeated the aura exercise.

Days passed just like that and his 5th birthday was fast approaching. He knew he had to return to the village once again. The month of training had been productive. He increased his [REN] time by 8 minutes. It was less than the expected 10, but his low talent probably decreased it slightly. Well it was only low compared to the monsters known as Gon and Killua. Besides that, aura was influenced by one’s physical state as well, so his child body wasn’t the most efficient.
If he still couldn’t perform water divination, it would be strange. The only explanation for it would be that he was a specialist, since no effect is outside of the known results. Or he has the standard reincarnator cheat where he has 100% affinity with all nen types. A man can only dream.
So, Alan grabbed a cup of water, placed a leaf on top of it and started emitting aura from his hands, which passed through the cup. And something happened. The water in the glass changed! The water became slightly murky!
Upon closer inspection, it was filled with black impurities! According to this test, he was a conjurer! It was the most broken nen type if you knew how to use it. But most couldn’t even scratch the surface. You could create anything between a life extending pill and a box that detonates anything that is placed within! The possibilities were endless.
‘Just as I thought, I am a conjurer… Still, it's a shame that I don’t have the reincarnator’s starter pack, but given my talents, it isn’t that surprising. ‘
And so he left for the town with a spring in his step. He looked around, searching for inspiration to base his [HATSU] off of. There were at least a few dozen ideas in his mind, but only a few stuck out. The simplest, but most useful ability he could think of was [INTIMIDATION]. Simply put, he would make anyone not loyal to him instinctively regard him as extremely dangerous. While this was not a conjuration ability (unless applied to an item), he could still get rid of the threat of the future Zoldyk family, since at any signs of danger, they would flee.
Another interesting idea was to create a [BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE]. It would fill in all of the information obtained from the surroundings. Be it peoples personalities, weaknesses, abilities, talents or things like maps, species, materials, knowledge of nen and so on. There would be a restriction that everything written in the book cannot be incorrect. It’s potential was immeasurable. Just write down a few hundred training plans and see what parts are wrong. Repeat this dozens of times until you refine a perfect training plan. While this was incredibly overpowered, there would still be limitations like ‘you cannot see the future or anything you have yet to experience’ or something similar. The book's best feature would be a mind-link. It would connect you to the book and you can find any and all data you want to find.
You could even go full gamer. The ability [GAMER] would be insane. Things like the gamer’s body and gamer’s mind would be extremely useful. In short, gamers body keeps your body in peak state, as long as you aren’t dead you would be in your best shape. Gamer’s mind would allow the user to calmly and logically think about anything without emotions getting in the way (it would not erase emotions), keeps the user in constant peace of mind and gives immunity to any outside manipulations. Besides these, you could also create a system with the ability to increase your talent, change skins (disguise), avatars, classes, buffs, potions, titles and so much more.
[Author note: I will not give the MC these skills. He might create the book of knowledge, but not the others. I hinted before that he will create an organization of aura users, so you should be quite clear about who I am giving the other abilities to. In any case, I have over 30 extremely useful abilities designed to pass to other characters and the MC. Of course, the MC will pick among the best ones. For now, I have in mind two skill families (both similar to each other) so yeah. And as I said before, there is a limit to how many hatsu you can have. Another thing is that he doesn’t have the help and talent required to make most of the abilities. Keep in mind that he is alone with no teacher to guide him. He is carving his own path in this world]
In any case, the possibilities were endless. As long as you have the motivation required, you can achieve anything in this world.
With that thought in mind, Alan left for the town, where he played with the others.
