I look up. I see a strange phenomenon. The time is moving at a speed unimaginable to me. My previously boring life is flashing in front of my eyes. Years go by in the blink of an eye, the sun and the moon are nothing more than blurs, creating a brilliant line across the twilight sky. What seemed like decades go by, while I experience minutes. There isn’t even a single thought in my head, remaining still like an ancient lake. Slowly my awareness exits my body, showing me my life from a different perspective. I see myself age, I already look 50, while only experiencing 20. Time passes and I finally take one last look into the eyes of the 88 year old me living alone, outliving every family member. There is no trace of fear, as the light of hundreds of nuclear explosions reflect in the man’s eyes. A smile creeps up on his face as he is swept away from the shockwaves, destroying everything in sight.

I shoot up into the sky, observing the chaos from the orbit. There are tens of thousands of bright lights everywhere on the planet, clustered together, where populated countries are located. One last sigh escapes my aetherial form as I plunge into the void, leaving the dead planet forever.
