After not getting anywhere with Issac the two walk through the streets of Rio in silence. Listening to the noise of the city as everyone went about their day. Cars honking around them, walking through the crowds as if nothing was wrong with the world.
As they walked Issac couldn't help but look around, watching people as they went about their day. He noticed that although they made a strange sight, a teenager walking together with what looked like a walking bush, people still didn't seem to notice them.
As they reached the park he began thinking. ‘ No matter what we do it probably won't affect the average person all that much’. Sitting down on a bench in front of the park, Issac imagined what people would think when they saw the destruction of the Southern Angels in the news.
‘ Maybe a few of them would be surprised, even less of them would remember, and most would just forget it, trying to just make it through the day so that they can survive till the next one, but never living for today.’
“Well, we're here, so stop wasting time and tell me what you need.”
An annoyed voice cut across the silence breaking Issac out of his thoughts. Making him focus on the little girl right beside him still waiting on an answer. Smiling at her Issac decided that it was finally time to clue her in on her purpose in his grand hunt.
“ Well Little one the first thing that you should know about hunting is that unless you know where your target is gonna be you are more than likely gonna be chasing your prey. So the most important thing is learning to look for your prey’s tracks.”
“ So what's the problem ?”
“ The problem is that Manuel is smarter than most and was able to cover his tracks well. Now, I can find him given time, however, I don't want to waste time searching blindlessly in the entire Amazon Forest.”
Throwing her hands into the heir Lucy spoke in an exasperated tone.“Okay and I guess that's where I come in, but I told you I don't have any connection to that gang.” turning to face Issac she continued. “They don't even leave their part of town, everything that goes on in that place doesn't seem to connect with the city whatsoever, it's like they cut themself out and live in their own separate city.”
“You know, just that helps me immensely.” Smirking, Issac continues staring into the distance, building a plan in his head. “See Manual somehow get that safe house built, and if what you saying is true, then that means that he used his crew to build it, instead of outsourcing it, that explains why I couldn’t find any news of a contracting team working out in the Amazon.”
“ Yeah okay, so you find the people that built his safe house then you find out where it was built as well.”
“ Exactly, so this is what I need you to do I need you to hang around where the Southern Angels stay within the city make sure no one leaves into the forest, and stay around bars they typically hang out there, while I check for any stores that sold lumber or lumber stolen by the Southern Angels.”
Really Issac felt that he didn't even need to send Lucy to be a lookout. He knew that there was a chance of this little mission turning dangerous. Every time he goes on a hunt he knew that there was a chance that he could die and he loved that risk.

The feeling of plunging into the dark not knowing if you will be able to come back up filled him with adrenaline. But she might not be like him, so throwing her in the deep end was a chance for him to see if she had the heart to walk with him.
Some people would say he was unfeeling or callous for doing that to a child and he might be, but if she wanted the ability to fly free that she must first plunge to the earth before she can flap her wings. And truthfully his mind wasn't all that focused on the dangers that she might face.
Since he first started flying towards Brazill he has felt his heart start to pump, filling with adrenaline. And since he stepped off the plane it's gotten worse, by now he can barely hear the sound of drums roaring through his ears.
Looking towards the forest Issac just knew that something about this hunt was going to be different. Something was going to be interesting, something was going to bring him so much joy during this hunt that he could barely fight through the urge to just run into the forest and slaughter his way to Manuel the ‘Crime Lord’.
“ Is that it? You want me to watch a few bars while you go looking through some files, trying to find Manuel's secret hideout in the woods, is there nothing else you want me to do ?”
Forcing himself to take a few breaths to calm do Issac looks down towards Lucy. Racking his brain Issac wondered what she was asking, was she asking for more to do, was she thinking that his plan was lacking or too simple?
These questions drifted through Issac’s mind but in the end, he decided to just keep to his plan, even if she thought that it was lacking it didn't matter. The more simple the plan was, the more likely that he could have more fun.
“ Yeah, that's it, as soon as I get the information that I want then I head straight for Manuel.” reaching into his satchel Issac pulls out a two-way radio and hands it to Lucy. “ Here, if anything happens, call me, they say this thing has a range of about 300 miles.”
Thinking about it Issac reaches into his satchel again and pulls out a room key. “ Also since this might take a few days I’m gonna give you this room key.” Handing it over Issac stood up and started walking away. “It goes to my room, you can stay there until I get back.”
Holding the plastic card in her hand Lucy began asking herself if she was really going to help someone go up against the Southern Angels. If something went wrong there was a real chance that she could end up worse than dead.
One time a matron from the orphanage had refused to sleep with an officer of the Southern Angels. Within a week her body was sent back to the orphanage in a blood-soaked box.
But the dream of being free from the worry of dying alone on the street wormed its way into her head and drove its way into her heart. Clutching the card in her fist Lucy decided that it was time to get moving, if either road led to death then taking the one that had a light at the end was obviously the right decision.
Even if that road was filled with razors instead of thorns it was still the right choice, because she had hoped that she could make it to the light.
‘ Even if I have to crawl my way there.’ was the final thought that filled Lucy’s head as she walked off.

At the top of a church steeple a mile away a hand with its forefinger and thumb in the shape of a circle was held in front of a bright red eye. Has Lucy left the park the eye trailed after her watching her every move. It stayed trained on her with laser focus until she left the park.
“Well isn't that interesting, big brother was right, some people are after our cash cow”
Bringing its hand down the shadow leaned off the steeple using one hand to hold onto the steeple preventing its fall off of the church.
“ We can't have this now can we, I’ll have to inform him about this.”
Jumping off of the church the shadow reached towards its neck before it disappeared into the city, its last words drifting through the wind.
“ Though who was that little girl talking to?”
