Lee clenched his fist.
“They’re after Geddon and Aim is pretty beat up. I can’t be the same Lee as before, I’m much more than that.” He thought to himself.
“Maybe we should take a small break and rest for a bit.” Geddon said breaking the silence.
Aim agreed and they both looked at Lee.
“I suppose we should but only for a couple hours we don’t know if anyone else is on our trail, and I’ll take the first shift.” He commanded.
The three again went deep into the woods and made padding out of leaves.
Aim and Geddon slept first as Lee stayed alert to watch. A few minutes went by and he heard someone coming close to them.
Lee quickly climbed up a tree to a large branch to see who and how many there were.
His eyes met with a familiar face and he climbed back down.
He was met with a young lady with bright red hair.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
“Are you sure you’re cut out to be a Captain…Lee?” She asked him.
The two had a heated conversation for about an hour when Lee heard Geddon waking up. The young lady jumped into the air and disappeared into the trees.
“Tch, doesn’t she have anything else better to do?” Lee asked himself. He turned around and seen Geddon standing up stretching.
“Alright! Lee it’s your turn now and I feel amazing!” He yelled in glee.
“Your endurance really is something Geddon.” Lee replied smiling at him.
Lee walked over to the padding Geddon was lying in and seen Aim still sound asleep snoring.
“Yell if you see anything Geddon, don’t engage by yourself”.
Geddon complied and Lee closed his eyes to sleep.
Lee opened his eyes twenty minutes later and shot straight up.
Geddon looked back from the top of the tree branch he was sitting on “AHH! Lee that wasn’t an hour.” Geddon said to him.
“I got a bad feeling about something…we have to move.” Lee replied.
He got up and started to pack everything up for them to move out and instructed Geddon to wake Aim up. When Aim was woken he felt much better and freely moved around. His weapons however were either lost or broken in battle so he felt defenseless if anything were to pop off, all he had was a slightly cracked dagger.
“Man it would be so cool to have a weaponsmith on the team.” Aim sighed. He turned to look at Geddon, “hey Geddon if you command a squad what roles would you seek the most?”
Geddon gave a short pause as he started to think. “Hmmm a Navigator, Cook, Weaponsmith, an Army Commander, a Diplomat, and an Inventor!”
“Hmmm sounds like a pretty good team!” Aim yelled out as both of them laughed.
“Why have an army commander when you’re the one leading?” Lee asked Geddon.
“Well my mom always told me this saying, ten soldiers that’s wisely led can be a hundred without a head! The Captain doesn’t automatically mean best fighter but in your case it does!” Geddon replied energetically, missing his mother and home.
“I hope Braun was wrong about Geddon…” Aim thought to himself seeing Geddon cheerful. “There’s no way he would do such a thing”.
