The Fiend started to attack Mercy faster catching her off guard, then punched Mercy that sent her flying backwards.

“Ugh. It had more Peak reserved.” She thought to herself.

She got up and ran back towards it, seeing Maximum getting close behind her as well.

“MERCY JUMP UP AND DIVE I’LL HANDLE THE REST!” He yelled out to her. The Fiend turned around and Mercy jumped into the air. She started to run on thin air awaiting for Maximum’s command.

“That’s my strategist.” She smiled before looking at Lee. “Poor boy I know how hard it can be Lee”.

Maximum took a swing but missed, he tried a kick and hit the Fiend in its knee, then finally he took another swing horizontally this time and nicked the chest of the Fiend.

He continued his onslaught on slashes when he yelled for Mercy to attack.

She jumped down head first and kicked the air behind her. Then she rolled her body straight and held her leg in front of her.

The Fiend saw where she was going to land and tried to fly to the left of her. Maximum slashed and hit the Fiend right as she dodged in the wing, then shoulder bashed her right where she was initially at.

“Enough”.

With its damaged wing, the Fiend shot into the air and grabbed Mercy. She threw her to the ground and out from her wings pink flower petals danced beside her.

Maximum ran to catch Mercy. The Fiend took advantage and with a huge gust of wind, the flower petals crashed down onto Mercy and Maximum. Maximum held Mercy in his arms and absorbed all of the damage. The flowers petals were stiff, making various cuts on Maximum’s back, legs, and arms as they started to bleed. When the last petal hit him, Maximum fell to the ground and his black hue disappeared.

Mercy called out to him when the Fiend landed. She lost her temper and her rose gold armor broke and flew off of her body due to the pressure of water she was emitting from her body.

“I’ll only let you live, if you fight for my species.” The Fiend said to her.

“So it’s confirmed you all have human allies. My Lord already theorizes this but…”

Mercy slid on the water under her feet to close the gap between her and the Fiend quickly. Before the Fiend could react, Mercy grabbed her other wing and tore it in half. The Fiend screamed in pain and took a swipe at Mercy who used her Peak to make a wall of water that the Fiend’s attack couldn’t get through.

“You Fiend’s might’ve cursed this planet, but I’ll show you how adaptable humanity can be”!

Mercy started to land direct punches on the Fiend, slowing it down. When she was about to land her final attack on its head, the Fiend made the sound of a clicking sound. Mercy landed her attack that shot the Fiend across the stone. She then looked at a boy that was older than her running in her direction.

“How many are there?! I have to get Maximum and Lee out of here before a Murder comes!” Mercy thought to herself not wanting to stay in the area any longer.

The boy stomped on the stone and took a slab from the ground to throw it upwards. He leapt in the air and landed on the stone right as it was above Mercy and dove below with the stone slab under his feet. Mercy rolled backwards and avoided the hit. The boy ran out of the dust and began a barrage of punches Mercy was keeping up on.

“By order of my Captain I won’t fail to kill you.” the boy uttered. Brown stone covered his hand and dealt a devastating blow to Mercy. As she was rolling backwards from the attack, the boy used both of his arms to slam into the stone. A huge wall of stone appeared behind Mercy and stopped her from rolling. The boy launched himself forward when her back hit the wall and punched her head, stomach, and chest that caused the wall behind her to break.

“Your Peak is just luck, you have no idea how to control and utilize what you have.” The boy said picking her up by her hair. “This is for my Captain”.

He threw her head first to the ground and grabbed her arm from behind.

The boy twisted and broke Mercy’s left arm, then ripped it off of her body.

Mercy screamed and cried as blood started to form a pool on the stone. The boy threw her arm beside her and kicked her in the stomach.

“Wh-why are you helping those monsters?!” Mercy asked despite of her pain. The boy started to laugh and commended her on still wanting crucial information while seconds away from her death.

“This world holds many secrets but an obvious truth is the corrupted people who governs our world. What the Nes fights for is what the world needs. I can show you the one truth that you’ll need, I was once from the village of HellHelm as well. Lord Regina hides the truth of the Go-“

Interrupting his monologue, Lee had awakened and snuck up behind the boy unnoticed. Lee had punched him in his back but when the hit landed, a loud cracking sound was heard. The boy coughed up blood and fell to his knees groaning in pain.

“Don’t you EVER speak about my Lord like that”!

Then Lee looked down Maximum and at Mercy to see her injury.
