“Wu! Lera! Wake up!” Jolyne said, barging into Wu and Lera’s bedroom in the main palace when Wu’s clinging onto Lera’s leg and fast asleep as she’s reading some random book using the lights from the early morning sun, “Huh? I wasn’t expecting this…”
“Hehehehe…” Wu chuckled in his dreams before he drooled onto Lera’s legs as she sighed and massaged his hair lovingly. Wu moaned happily before he curved up further in his fetal position and hugged Lera’s leg even tighter.
“Shh…” Lera whispered, “It’s been a crazy few weeks…he’s been too stressed out and was only able to sleep peacefully recently…”
“I..suppose you are right.” Jolyne sat next to Lera on the bed and took off her shoes, “He never had any fighting background, right?”
“Yeah.” Lera nodded, “Why?”
“That explained why he had trouble sleeping.” Jolyne leaned back, “Anyway, Big bro’s back.”
“Oooh~” Lera smiled happily before she suddenly felt the dying need to gossip, “Did he bring the girl?”
Jolyne nodded her head excitedly, and Lera gently rubbed Wu’s shoulders and shook him awake slowly. He mumbled something that made no sense before his eyes slowly opened.
When he smelled Jolyne and caught onto her red hair, he immediately freaked out for a moment, thinking that he had done the unthinkable when he realized that he was still clinging to Lera’s legs after all.
“Phew.” Wu rolled around and rubbed his eyes, “Why is she on my bed…?”
“Big bro’s back.” Jolyne repeated, and suddenly, Wu cleansed all of his drowsiness.
“Did he bring the girl?!”
“My King.” Alina bowed her head as Joseph knelt down on one knee towards the King of Varous as he stood up from his throne while maintaining his steady image. Then, he pulled his long cloak up before going into a full-speed sprint towards Alina.
“Thank you for agreeing to take care of my useless son.” The King stopped suddenly in front of Alina before bowing slightly, and his politeness suddenly made Alina restless as she didn’t quite know how to respond.
“You..are too kind.” Alina bowed even further before the King finally stood up straight and pulled Joseph up to standing, “I need him as much as he needs me…”
“Oh, we shall see about that.” The King laughed, “You hadn’t seen how worried he…”
“Old man!” Joseph complained when the King gave him a deep glance before turning around, “Well, now that you are here, may the celebrations begin!”
The traditional dresses for marriage in the upper society of Varous include the bride wearing red dresses and the groom wearing blue, and the theme of the setting being purple which signified the joining of the two individuals.
Therefore, Alina and Lera were taken to the left-wing of the main palace where they were each fitted with a glorious red dress with white linings for Alina and yellow linings for Lera, each signifying their places of birth.
In the meanwhile, Wu finally had a full view of Joseph’s naked physique in the back room, and he can’t say that he wasn’t at least a tiny bit jealous of him. It’s not that he wasn’t well built, but Joseph came straight out of a body-building magazine with every ounce of his muscle pulsating with raw power.
However, Wu had him beat on the edginess front with his full-body tattoos. Not that Wu enjoyed taking that win, but it’s at least something…
Ordinarily, royal weddings will be celebrated throughout Sonne city, but due to the recent circumstances, the celebration for now would simply be held within the palace, starting with a day of festivities around the different rooms before a night of celebration and dances in the main hall.
Wu, paired with Joseph, went around performing the traditional labors of the groom with some yard work, house work, a quick wrestle which ended with Wu eating dirt and nearly straining his back, and then a warm bath in a room next to where Alina and Lera was.
It was obvious to Wu that he and Joseph were thinking about the exact same thing, and neither could hide their excitement both on their face, and down below.
“Just…keep this between us.” With great embarrassment, the two men reached a unanimous decision.

The night arrived swiftly after a long day of rapid preparation, and with them fully clothed and dressed up, Wu even experienced some light make-up on his skin and a fresh haircut, while Joseph simply did his smooth red hair up.
With great anticipation, Wu and Joseph stood on the stage at the deepest part of the main palace as the workers in the main palace and the King’s daughters sat down below in wait.
Before Wu’s about to crack a joke to break up the still air, the doors swung open, and a pair of elaborately decorated chariots rode in with Alina and Lera entering hand in hand. The Sonne city choir began their angelic hums as flower pedals slowly rained down from the ceiling above.
And there she was. Lera, in her red dress that fits around her waist tightly while revealing her smooth shoulders and collar bones, standing tall and proud with her face slightly blushing.
She waved towards Lita who was sitting at the front row with her eyes teary before she and Wu locked eyes, and she noticed him swallowing nervously before smiling. While Wu and Lera are enjoying their moment of innocent first love, Alina’s looking straight at Joseph’s crotch and wondering when she will finally get her hands on what she had been thinking about since the start of the day.
Priorities, I guess.
As the chariots slowly came to a stop, Alina and Lera walked down onto the stage next to Joseph and Wu, and they joined hands with their respective partners before glancing towards the King of Varous who slowly rose up from his seat.
“Lera, Wu.” He gestured to the first pair, “A girl from the sunshine valley, and a boy from…a place called Oxford.”
“Alina, Joseph.” He continued, “A Valkyrie general from Talonia, and my son from Sonne city.”
“Even in times of uncertainty, even in times of great difficulty, love prevails. I now pronounce you two husbands and wives.” The king said, raising his hands into the air, “Congratulations.”
“I don’t feel inferior at all.” Wu joked towards Lera before he grabbed her close and kissed her on the lips.
“You gotta learn from the kid.” Alina smirked, “You are always so awkward when we are in public…just kiss me already.”
“My…sister is watching…” Joseph growled, “She always makes things embarrassing for me…”
“Perhaps that’s just what sisters do~” Alina said, locking lips with Joseph as she looked past Joseph into the shadow at the corner of the main palace hall. However, she wasn’t there.
Am…I doing it? Alina wondered, living my life the way I want to? Is this…what she would have wanted me to do?
Sensing the tension in Alina’s body, Joseph held onto her face and whispered, “Are you thinking about them?”
“I…is it okay for me to happy?”
“Yes. Yes…” Joseph kissed her before wiping away her tears of joy with his big fingers, “So long as we keep them in our hearts, so long as we always remember them.”
“Yeah…” Alina smiled before hugging Joseph close as the workers cheered and more pedals of flowers rained down from above.
The party after the ceremony was one of feasting and dancing, and Lita got uncharacteristically drunk while telling embarrassing stories of Lera when she was little to the King’s daughters, who watched Alina with jealousy out in the distance as she and Joseph half-danced and half-wrestled in the center of the room.
“You know…It’s now been a year and a half since I got here…” Wu said, still holding onto Lera’s hands with his own sweaty paws since an hour ago when the King announced their marriage, “I’d never imagined this is how things would turn out for me…Thank you, for bringing me here. You really have changed my life.”
“You have changed my life too.” Lera said, rubbing Wu’s hands back.
“You know, I always tried to convince myself that…I do not miss my parents, nor the paths that they wanted me to walk, but…I also do wish for them to see you. I wish for them to see…all of this.” Wu said, leaning forward, “I am sure they would love you.”
“When all of this is over…” Lera said, shifting over until she’s now sitting on Wu’s lap with her arms around his shoulders. Then, she looked at him with her bright grey eyes as her black hair lightly brushed against Wu’s face, “Will you stay here…?”
“What happened to the other Saviors after they were done?” Wu looked straight abck at Lera.
“Well…the first returned to his world after establishing countless martial arts schools in the Western continent, the second returned to her world before the final battle even commenced, as she predicted everything that would have happened through her system, and the third…”
“He died in a public execution.” Wu nodded, “Not exactly the best track record, assuming that I am indeed anybody special.”
“You are special! At least to me…” Lera said before leaning forward and kissing Wu on the forehead.
“Don’t worry…I won’t leave you, or die in a public execution, hopefully.” Wu chuckled before looking towards Alina, “You know what Augen said about ten individuals aiding me on my journey? I have a feeling that Alina’s going to be one of them.”
“I…can see that.” Lera murmured, “…Say…wanna get out of here and go back to…you know…”
Smelling Lera’s pleasant scent and feeling her warmth over his laps, Wu would be lying to say that he wasn’t excited. And so they did sneak away after saying a quick goodbye to Lita, who asked them to make babies soon.
After a night of long-awaited action, Wu and Lera dropped onto the bed with their bodies covered in sweat and their fancy clothing everywhere on the ground. To be honest, Wu wasn’t sure if they were ready for babies, nor did he think it would be possible to do so considering their…biological differences.
Regardless, so far, they just wanted to live life one day at a time.
