As the last minute of the lesson reached its end, the school day was officially over for him, and James cheered in his heart. The school day was finally over!
Shame that there's such a harsh rain outside, it made him feel sad, he didn't like rain.
He wished he could be one of the people from all the Isekai manga he was reading. Honestly though, he did remember some of them came Frome really depressing backgrounds, and honestly sort of deserved it. But man! That would be nice.
No more homework, or needing to get a boring ass job and being incredibly strong... Boy wouldn't that be great.
He stopped daydreaming for the moment. He needed to get home and finish his homework, if he doesn't want to stay another hour at school until he completed it.
He depressingly marched down the street to his home, staying never the umbrella of one of his friends Tom, and had a nice discussion with him. We live in the same building, and today, we were mainly talking about how much our math teacher Mr. Smith is harsh with our homework and then about how depressing it was that the other person that used to live in the same house as us as well and that used to walk with us home, died because of a stab wound while protecting his sister from 2 older teens several weeks ago. He's sister did manage to escape however, and he's sacrifice was not in vain, as just yesterday, the trail ended.
"As far as I know, they were both imprisoned, these savages" said Tom.
"They got less then what they deserved for that in my opinion" I answered.
"Where ever he is, I hope he's doing well."
I didn't notice until it was too late that a car turned right in an intersection too early, as the windshield was covered in too much water for the driver, who was driving much faster than one should during rain, to see properly, and hit me and my friend.
James woke up on a red sofa. There was a table right next to him with some cookies on a plate and hot chocolate. In front of him sitting on another red sofa, another man he had never seen in his life.
The man had hair that looked like the hair of Legolas from lord of the rings but it's color instead of blond looked more like pure gold. His eyes were gold mixed with blue and green on the edges. He's body wasn't too muscular but seemed perfectly built. His skin was white, like not vampire white, but white nonetheless. He generally looks like someone that he should know.

The man was reading some book that had white cover with gold that looked like blue gems where somehow mixed with it.
He looked around the room for a bit. There were many drawings on the wall. The biggest One of some sort of golden desert with black smoke moving through it. The second biggest looked like what most imagine he'll is, with pitch black entities moving through it. The paintings were moving, as if they were videos being repeated. But he didn't see any cut in the movement.
As for furniture, there doesn't seem to be anymore couches, but there is of course the table that is made out of some more of the gold and gem combination this like material with a golden mixed with amethyst.
There was also a fireplace made from that same gold but this time it was with topaz instead. The fire was likely the most normal thing in the room, as well as the only light source, although it produced much more light then it had any right to.
There was also a red rug that had gold weaved in it that slowly changed as time went on. The floor looked like it was made of normal wood and yet when stepped on he felt more like he just stepped on smooth stone. The walls were like that as well.
And then he looked up, and he could've sworn it was the most beautiful thing he ever seen. It looked as if he was staring at the starry sky, except much more beautiful. galaxies and stars and nebulas moving through a purple-blue void
who is that? Thought James. and why does he have so much gold? And gems? And actually, shouldn't he be in a hospital? Is this a dream? Welp, guess I might as well ask then.
"Hello..." Said James nervously. The man turned to James.
Hello James. Let me not beat around the bush as were kind of short on time I am what you humans call a god.
"so... I died?"
yes. Your mission is simple. You have to beat the creature that will soon arrive here and it's subordinates. As i said, I don't have much time.
"w-what?"
And then it happened.
The fire place exploded, and a ball of black liquid slowly moved towards the massive hole that was made by the explosion
The creature had eyes In all colors I knew and didn't know eyes were made at, noses, hands and ears grow out of it's body, only several moments later start melting back into the black liquid.
The ball didn't move by itself however. Humanoids that formed from the powers parts of the ball with numbers of hands and legs changing from between 2-8 without any facial features, or any actual heads when I think about it, pushed it forward.
However said humanoids couldn't do that for long, as they started melting just like the eyes, ears etc.
As the creature seemed to charge up a ray of liquid the god said:
Goodbye hero, and good l-
And everything exploded.
