"Surprisingly empty..."
It was the very first thing that came to mind while I scanned the room. Or maybe place or realm...
It was quite confusing, to be honest.
Nevertheless, I know one fact for sure...
Yes. I died.
Not in a metaphorical way or something poetically like that. Nah, I was straight-up dead.
How? by a series of small unfortunate coincidences that happened every day in your life.
It was a hassle to reiterate the whole debacle with details from zero, so let me sum it up neatly instead.
Due to one nonsense that led to another nonsense, I had to take the bus instead of my car to work. And that's when I stepped on gum inside the jam-packed bus.
Suppose I could haunt someone given the chance, I vow to myself to make the gum-spitting degenerate's life as miserable as it could get...I mean, the hell? As disgusting as it should, ain't people supposed to stick their gums beneath or behind the seat or something? Who in this day and age would spit them out onto the floor?
Anyway. After I noticed the sticky nightmare beneath my shoe, I had to clean it, right? I was only normal, after all. So I did just that.
And while I thought life had emptied its stock of lemon on me, the driver suddenly hit the break as though he was filming a scene for Fast and Furious or some shit. Thus, science did the magic and my body was propelled forward.
I flew into a very dangerous spot, carrying behind me a very dangerous momentum and a convenient angle to top it off.
Now, I was someone who had never seen a miracle in his whole life. And that moment...I saw one. No, I made one...
In a morning bus filled to the brim with workers and students alike, I split them to the sides like Moses to the Red Sea.
It was a morning bus...The bus was filled with so many people, it was hard to move around. But there was nobody there to cushion or slow down my fall. Now if that wasn't a miracle, then I don't know what was.
Moving on...
The next thing I knew, I felt the steel handle dully meet my forehead, followed by a loud snap.
The world spun in place while the faces of those selfish humans on the bus turned rapidly pale as they looked at me.
'Serves you right...' I thought gleefully, hoping that my warm corpse would be their source of nightmares for quite some time in the future.

Now don't get me wrong. I was someone who didn't relish in peoples' suffering like a sociopath.
It's just...I died, okay? I was entitled to be this angry due to them avoiding me like I was a plague or something.
'Ha...just thinking about it makes my blood boil again!'
"Are you done?" A deep voice. From an unknown entity where I could see them, but I couldn't understand what I was seeing.
I could see their body, the shadows on their face, and even their clothes, but when I tried to make the details, I just couldn't. It was like my brain itself refused to process the information.
It was truly an absurd situation. But then again, it made some sense in a way.
After all, I was standing in front of a higher form of being. A God.
Some supernatural mumbo-jumbo would be the norm, I believe.
"Child...you do talk a lot." They spoke again.
"..." I looked at them, thinking. "No, I don't."
"Yes, you do."
"I only spoke once since I got here." I denied the claim.
"You know what This one is talking about, child."
"..." I stared silently at the Holy visage. "So, reading my mind, huh? Okay, I do talk a lot. But only to myself, in my defense."
"What difference does it make? You talk when you talk; that is that." They replied.
'Fine, you got me...So, if you can hear me anyway, let's talk like this. I am more comfortable this way.'
"A peculiar child indeed. Making demands in front of a God." The voice trailed off with a tinge of amusement at the end.
'I got told by people a lot that I have some screws missing in my head. But, aren't you supposed to know it? Didn't you create us?'
"The laws of Creation and Existence are the laws that preside above even the cycle of life and death. The children are prohibited from understanding Them, even if your soul exists right now in This one's realm." They answered. "And you are mistaking something, child. I am not a god of your world."
'Oh, damn!!' I closed my mouth and stood with rapt attention, realizing that I just cursed while standing in front of a god.
'...Excuse my language. I'm a bit rough with my words whenever I talk in my head...'
"Words are but a window to the intent that lies beyond. Try to be more careful when you shape them."
'Um...okay...? Still, isn't this that...?'
"Yes. What you picture in your soul is correct." A simple and concise answer.
'Seriously, the typical and cliche reincarnation story?'
"...A fresh take, This one says. But indeed, you will have the choice to reincarnate into the world from which This one presides."
'God damn...' It was a habit till the day I died; what could I say?
"Child..."
'Oh! I'm sorry, but I don't mean something bad. It's just I'm in awe, that's all. People died, sure. That's a fact. But reincarnation, not to mention going into another world is nothing short but a delusion, if not a scam in my opinion.'
"That's understandable. But try to refrain from demeaning those of higher beings. It will do you good."
'Okay, I'll do so. I'll check my tongue...Um, mind...from now on.'
"That is good." Answered the god. Suddenly, my brain could perceive something as if a thick veil of fog that surrounded the god had been lifted.
A smile.
"Now, child..." The sound fluttered lightly, akin to a song from the holiest place.
"Can you help Me...Save My world?"
