The orphanage was blown up into pieces, and some of the kids from the basement broke free and started slaughtering the good kids in the yard.
Mrs. T’s head was in Liam’s hand. Lenny and Liam were looking at the mess they had made in absolute silence. Everything has gone wrong.
“Lenny?” Liam asked dully.
“What is it, man?”
“How many cookies did you give them?”
“I don’t know. After I woke up, all of them were gone, and they were turning to those monsters.”
Liam sighed as he witnessed the kids in the basement turn into monstrous figures and barely let any body parts for them to collect. The fact that they ended up with one head was a miracle.
“Well, I guess we can sell the video footage,” Lenny said.
“I’m sorry, Lenny. I think this whole idea turned out to be a horrible one,” Liam said.
“Like the rest, right?” Lenny said they shared a cold smile.
They saw Ahura escaping from the massacre, holding Hanna’s hand.
“At least he got what he wanted,” Liam said, and it made him feel less miserable seeing those two.
“Let’s get the fuck out of here before the sheriff comes here,” Lenny said, and he started hustling into the forest.
“Now that is a good idea,” Liam said, following him to the main road.
The sheriff was running toward the orphanage with haste, and his brothers hid behind the trees until he passed.

“Fucking damn kids, I ain’t a nurse for god’s sake,” the sheriff said as he was passing through the woods.
“That was close,” Liam said after the sheriff got away.
“So what happened to you that you had to blow up the whole orphanage?” Lenny asked, and they kept walking with caution.
“Remember, Mrs. T, that brat you keep talking about?” Liam asked, and Lenny nodded.
“She caught me red-handed when I was tricking a bunch of the kids with a few of my funny videos on my phone. Then it turns out that she was a CD herself and became this siren-like demon, so I did the first thing I could think of. I lit up my whole backpack and threw it at her, then BOOM! She turns to pieces, and flames fall like rain, making the whole orphanage go to hell.” Liam said it with excitement, as if he were telling a funny joke.
“Damn,” Lenny responded.
“But I mean, I ended up with this.” Liam brought Mrs. T’s siren head close to Lenny, slapped her lifeless head, and made funny sounds.
“OK man, I got it; now get this shit out of my face,” Lenny said, bothered to look at that ugly face of that siren.
“So what the fuck did you do wrong?” Liam asked Lenny.
“Oh man,” Lenny lit up a cigarette and shook his head slowly, “so that basement was definitely haunted. A ghost threw me off the stairs to the bottom of that shithole they called the basement, and I woke up watching all the kids making freaky sounds and their bodies changing and taking new shapes, and in the middle of all that shit, a heart like an engine was pumping blood to god knows where.“Lenny smoked deeply and exhaled out a heavy white cloud, then continued. “The next thing I did was find my phone and take some pictures and a short video before the kids turned to those high monsters and chased me, but good thing that they hated those kids on the field more than you and me, or we would be their first meal.”
“It’s crazy,” Liam said, and after a moment, they both laughed.
“We have to tell all this sh*t whenever we can. We are officially a pair of legendary demon slayers,” Lenny said, like he had forgotten all the hell he put behind him.
“I can already see the whole town girls want to lay with us and the jealous face of the whole family who talked shit about us in Mama’s face,” Liam said proudly.
“Hey, do we have any money left on us?” Lenny asked, checking his pockets.
“I’m not sure. Why?” Liam asked.
“I just want some more of that burger, man, that burger was divine,” Lenny said.
Two brothers found the road and headed back to Moonland town with a broad smile on their faces and not a care in the world.
They didn’t know it yet, but they changed Heaven’s Peak forever.
