22 days until the tragedy (5) - The date

Hello guys! Missed me? guess not? lol kidding, it is me the narrator! you already forgot? Well, I am back! the author kind of forgot about me in the past three chapters but oh well, I am capable of forgiving my creator once.

You better be happy that I am back lol, so yea, I think the past three chapters gave you a good understanding of the main character so I will be narrating from now on.

Let us get started then! Hope you are excited!!

It was evening and the sun was about to start setting, maybe in two hours or so.

A young couple in their uniforms peddled through the streets with an unexplainable awkwardness between them.

The girl was curious as to where they were going but didn't want to ruin the fun by asking the guy about it.

They peddled and peddled before they stopped in front of a cafe.

"We are here!" exclaimed the guy as the girl shyly nodded her head. They left their cycles in front of the store and entered it.

It was cosy inside and was filled with couples left and right. The boy shyly went to the counter to get the menu and passed it to the girl.

"Choose what you want, it is on me" exclaimed the guy much to the girl's delight.

"It is ok, I will pay for mine," she said as she shyly rubbed her hair.

"No, I insist" said the guy prompting the girl to smile as all her white teeth shone in the light. She was shy and greatly nervous. This was her first time getting treated so nicely by anyone but her grandmother. She couldn't help it.

She giggled as she closed her eyes for a few seconds before she opened them and gathered up the courage to look the guy in the eyes and say "Thank you".

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

The guy gave a shy smile as he fiddled with his fingers. The worker standing near them could not help but cringe, he desperately wanted to say, get a room you love birds but he was not allowed to do so, he couldn't help it, he was single in his 30s and here were two high school students being all lovey-dovey with each other in front of him!

"Why don't you take a seat and decide what you want to order?" He asked the two students who were lost in their own world. They shyly made their way to a table with the guy leading the girl.

Flowers were blooming around them and the worker could not stand it whatsoever. 'Fuck my life' he thought as he shed an imaginary tear for himself.

A few minutes passed and the boy asked the girl, "Alia have you decided on what to get?", Alia shyly replied with a no. It was not that she didn't know what she wanted it was more about what she should not get for him to not think of her as a pig.

She had to pick something graceful, something a guy would expect a girl to get, 'a salad maybe' she thought, but know he might think she is showing off, 'then a pizza' no, he will think she is a pig, 'then waffles?' she just had it this morning!,

'biriyani?' that is too expensive he is paying! She can't order anything too costly.

She was troubled with her options as she thought what each food would make him think of her.

She sighed, which seemed to have caught his attention. She gasped a bit hoping he didn't think she was sighing because of him.

As she drowned in her thoughts he suddenly grabbed her hand focusing all her attention on him.

"Do you want me to pick?" he asked much to her relief, "Yes, please" she said as she stared into his brown eyes.

She couldn't help but feel a bit weird, she knew she didn't like Farhaan in that way and yet she couldn't help these feelings.

She had always liked Aakash and the sole reason she got together with Farhaan was to make her real crush feel at least a bit jealous.

But now, it was changing, it was not like she had lost feelings for Aakash, but it was as if new feelings were budding.

She was not going to accept what she was feeling no! How could she? After all, she still loved Aakash.

As she sat thinking on her muddled thoughts, Farhaan had come back after ordering the food.

"What is on your mind?" He asked with a smile on his face.

Alia took one look at him and couldn't help but blush unknowingly.

He was handsome alright, he had brown hair, black eyes and a defined jawline and whatnot.

He was not really Alia's type, but he could become her type if he tried and Alia was no stranger to this news and Farhaan was trying.

"Thanks" she said much to Farhaan's confusion.

"Why?" he asked.

She replied "For not putting me in the predicament of choosing what to order"

He smiled as he sat down.
