Chapter 7: The Potion's Effects

**Chapter 7: The Potion's Effects**

Harry looked at the dark-blue gelatinous liquid, finding it hard to describe as either a block or a cup of liquid. He swallowed nervously and said with great difficulty, "Am I supposed to drink it just like that?"

At the same time, Dobby asked, "Great wizard Harry Potter, are you going to drink this liquid? It looks very poisonous to me."

Harry looked at Dobby and said, "Poisonous? It is indeed dangerous, but it will give me some mysterious powers."

Harry instructed Dobby to bring some water so he could wash his hands. Then, holding the heavy, opaque cup, he noticed the faint, seemingly ethereal smell of the potion.

Nodding silently, Harry took a deep breath. Just like when he was a child taking medicine, he pinched his nose and drank it. He moved the opaque cup to his mouth, tipped his head, and gulped it down.

A cool, smooth sensation quickly filled his mouth, then flowed down his gullet and into his stomach. The sticky, dark-blue liquid seemed to sprout thin, long tentacles, bringing stimulation and coldness to every cell in Harry’s body.

He couldn't help but convulse as his vision rapidly blurred. Colors intensified; reds became redder, blues bluer, and blacks blacker. The rich colors blended like an impressionist painting.

Harry had never seen such a scene before.

At that moment, his vision blurred even more, but his mind felt light and clear. He felt like a castaway floating in the sea. Slowly, his surroundings became discernible. Colors returned to normal as a grayish, blurry fog emanated.

Around him were bodies difficult to describe. There were transparent objects that seemed not to exist, and deep within were clean light clusters of different colors, seemingly alive or containing immense knowledge.

As Harry instinctively looked down, he realized that ‘he’ was still standing in his original spot, his body convulsing.

Suddenly, he came to a realization, causing his consciousness to sink abruptly and fuse with him.

Boom!

The fog quickly dissipated, and the colors returned to normal. The bright, clear halo and the nonexistent objects vanished.

The room returned to normal, but Harry felt his head swell, as if it were being yanked apart. Whatever he saw had countless afterimages, and his ears were overwhelmed by an ethereal murmur.

"Master of death...

Master of death...

Master of death..."

Harry felt a stabbing pain in his forehead and quickly had thoughts of causing destruction to vent his discomfort. He frowned and shook his head hurriedly.

Harry realized that what was happening was the result of the potion’s energy seeping in. He lacked the means to control it.

"Alright," he thought, "I need to think of an object in my mind, something common. Make it simple and easy."

Harry quickly focused on envisioning his own glass. He recalled the feeling when he touched it and its exact shape.

Focusing as if his life depended on it, he felt the murmurs subside into whispers before vanishing. The afterimages stacked upon one another and no longer appeared as a blur.

"Much better," said Harry after calming his chaotic emotions and exhaling.

He looked down at his body and discovered nothing abnormal had happened. He moved his limbs and, with half-anticipation and half-doubt, asked, "Did I succeed? Am I now considered a Seer?"

At that moment, Dobby said, "Look at your eyes."

Harry asked Dobby for a mirror. He focused his gaze on the mirror and saw his outline standing out, his facial features looking normal. Apart from his face being covered in sweat, he didn’t seem different in any way.

Following Dobby’s instructions, he carefully looked at his eyes. Only then did he discover that his green eyes had deepened significantly. They were now a shade similar to fresh grass, so deep it seemed they could absorb others' souls.

Without looking very carefully, even Harry himself wouldn’t have noticed.

“This is a physical manifestation of the potion’s powers. When I learn Cogitation and how to converge my power, my eyes will return to normal,” Harry said to himself.

Then Harry looked in the mirror, saw his reflection, and sa

id, “Congratulations, this world’s new Beyonder, new Seer.”
