I help the student up and start running in the opposite direction, frantically trying to put as much distance as possible between us and the fighting suits of armor. My mind races with a million thoughts. 'How could I be so stupid as to try something so dangerous! What if a teacher had seen what just happened."
I try to calm myself down and think rationally, but my heart is pounding so hard that I can barely hear myself think. I've never felt such power surge through me before. It was a thousand times stronger than what I did with the trinket, and I have no idea how to control it.
I can't help but feel a sense of both fear and excitement. Fear that I might have just caused a huge disturbance and excitement that I may have discovered a new ability within myself.
As I round another corner, I finally spot the library. As I entered the library, I couldn't help but marvel at its magnificent architecture. The towering shelves of books were made of polished mahogany, and the walls were adorned with intricate carvings of mystical creatures. The soft lighting cast a warm glow over the room, illuminating the deep shades of red, green, and gold that decorated the space.
As I walked deeper into the library, I saw that the books were not only stacked on shelves but also flew around the room on their own accord. Some of the older tomes even appeared to be alive, with pages fluttering like wings and covers creaking open and closed. The candles suspended from the ceiling by magical means floated gently, casting dancing shadows on the walls.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder as I took in the library's magical elements. It was as if the books and candles were alive, and I half-expected them to start speaking to me at any moment. But I knew better than to expect such things, and instead focused on finding the books I needed for my studies.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
I make my way to the librarian's desk and clear my throat to get her attention.
The librarian, an older woman with glasses perched on the tip of her nose, looks up from her book and gives me a curious glance ."Ah, Mr. Nielsen," she says, recognition dawning on her face. "It's you again. You're looking for more books, I see."
"Ah, yes, here I am again!" I said, attempting to sound confident but failing miserably.
"Do you know where I could find books on pureblood families and enchanted trinkets?" I ask, trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.
"Are you doing research for a class, Mr. Nielsen?" she asks, peering at me over her spectacles.
I shake my head, "No, I'm just interested in learning more about wizarding families and magical artifacts."
She nods, "Very well, pureblood families are in the genealogy section on the second floor, and enchanted trinkets are in the magical artifacts section down the end of the hall to the right," she said curtly.
I thank her and approach the genealogy section, I notice that the books are organized in alphabetical order by family name. I begin searching through them, looking for any information on the Nielsen family. It takes me a while, but eventually, I come across a book simply titled "The Nielsen Family History."
'As I suspected.' I thought while opening the book.
The pages were yellowed with age, and some of them stuck together as I carefully flipped through them. I scanned the pages, taking in the details of my family's history. The Nielsens were an ancient and proud pure-blooded family hailing from Denmark, known for their accomplishments in the wizarding world. The book detailed the lineage of my family, tracing it back through the centuries.
As I continued to read, I came across a section on enchanted trinkets. The Nielsens were also known for their extensive collection of magical artifacts, many of which were passed down through generations. But my attention is quickly drawn to a passage describing the family's unique ancestry.
According to the book, the Nielsen family is the only known Scandinavian family with ancestry containing Nidhoggs, powerful dragons from Norse mythology. It is said that the family's magical artifacts are imbued with the power of the dragons, making them even more potent.
As I continue reading, I discover that many of the trinkets have been passed down from generation to generation, and some are said to be lost or hidden away.
