Aftermath

-Flashback-

"Wow! The new Spectral Sours and Dragonfire Fudge are supposed to be amazing!" Ron exclaimed.

Mikkel raised an eyebrow. "Oh? How so?"

"Spectral Sours are these sour candies that glow in the dark, and the Dragonfire Fudge gives you a burst of fire-breathing power. So cool!" Ron continued to gush.

"While you guys go treasure hunting for the sweets, I'll go explore Zonko's," Harry said as he opened the door and stepped out.

Mikkel and Ron were already making their way towards the candy when Harry left. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, look Mikkel, there they are!" Ron exclaimed, pulling Mikkel towards the sweets.

Harry made his way towards an empty alleyway, pulling out the Marauder's Map from his pocket. As Harry approached the Shrieking Shack, he noticed a dark figure watching him from the window. Suddenly, the door creaked open, and the figure emerged. It was Sirius Black, the supposed murderer of Harry's parents.

Harry was initially shocked to see him, but Sirius quickly explained that he was innocent and had been wrongly accused all these years. He went on to tell Harry the true story of that fateful night when Voldemort killed Harry's parents and how he had tried to protect Harry by becoming his godfather.

As Harry listened, he felt a mix of emotions - anger, confusion, and disbelief. He couldn't believe that the man he had been taught to hate was actually trying to help him.

Just then, Professor Lupin burst into the room and revealed that he was a werewolf. Harry was taken aback, but Sirius and Lupin explained that they had been friends with Harry's father, James, and had become Animagi to help Lupin cope with his condition.

Together, they hatched a plan to prove Sirius's innocence and capture the true culprit, Peter Pettigrew, who was alive and hiding as Ron's pet rat, Scabbers.

As they left the Shrieking Shack, Harry realized that everything he had thought he knew about his parents' death was wrong. But he also knew that he had found new allies in Sirius and Lupin, who would stop at nothing to help him.

Then they heard screams of terror and noticed a darkening of Hogsmeade.

[Charles POV]

As we arrived at Hogwarts, my body was battered and bruised from the battle with the Arcromantula horde. I was exhausted and struggling to stay on my feet.

"Hello there, dear. I'm sorry to say that the hospital wing is completely full at the moment," the nurse said to us as she approached, looking at me from top to bottom. "Your injuries, young man, are quite minor compared to some of the other students being treated at the moment. Please be patient and wait by a available seat."

I nodded. "Understood."

I turned to Lily. "Lily, can you grab a medic kit for me?" I asked, trying to hide the pain in my voice. "I'll rest up close to the Hufflepuff dorms and treat my wounds there."

Lily looked at me curiously, but I knew she wouldn't question the small request. As soon as she left, I took a deep breath and leaned against the wall, trying to steady myself.

But just as I was about to make my way to the room, the pain became too much to bear.

"Ahh!" I sank to the floor, clutching my side as I let out a groan of pain.

Hermione rushed over to me, concern etched on her face. "Charles, are you okay?" she asked.

I shook my head, unable to speak. Ron and Mikkel joined us, their faces grim with worry.

"We need to get him to the room," Ron said, taking charge. "Mikkel, help me carry him."

As they lifted me off the ground, the pain intensified. I gritted my teeth, determined to keep going.

"Where's Harry?" Mikkel Uttered.

"He's gone on his own, seemed to be in a hurry," Ron remarked.

"I see," Mikkel replied.

As we made our way through the castle I couldn't help but notice the way some students looked at me with admiration.

"Look, it's Charles! He was the one who saved my little brother from the spiders!"

"I heard he fought off the entire colony by himself!"

"I saw him blast a group of spiders with a single spell! Epic!"

The words of admiration followed me wherever I went, and I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed by all the attention.

"Looks like we got ourselves a hero," Hermione said with a hint of a smile.

Finally, we made it to the room. Lily was waiting with the medic kit, and I could see the relief in her eyes as she realized the true extent of my injuries.

"Thanks, Lily," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

As the others left to talk with the teachers. I exchanged a nod with Lily who then took out her wand.

"Salvamaris," She whispered as she healed my wounds, I couldn't help but feel grateful for her skill in healing magic. Used the guise of a medic kit, but my true intention was to have her use her healing magic without arousing suspicion.

"You'll be okay, Charles," Lily said, patting my hand reassuringly.

[General POV]

Days after the terrifying attack in Hogsmeade, the Ministry of Magic issued a statement declaring that the incident was caused by an accidental migration of an Arcromantula colony to a new habitation. The news spread quickly through the wizarding world, and while some were relieved to hear that the attack was not an intentional act of dark magic, most remained skeptical of the Ministry's explanation.

At Hogwarts, the aftermath of the attack could still be felt. The castle was filled with students and staff alike who were still recovering from their injuries, both physical and emotional. The hospital wing was overflowing with patients, and the healers were working tirelessly to tend to everyone's needs.

The atmosphere in the Great Hall was somber as the students and staff gathered for the memorial of the fallen. The hall was filled with the scent of warm, comforting food, but even the sight of the delicious feast couldn't bring any joy to those who had lost loved ones.

As the students filed into the Great Hall, they were greeted with a sight that brought tears to their eyes. The walls were adorned with photographs of those who had lost their lives, each one smiling and happy, captured in a moment of joy before tragedy struck. Candles flickered around the room, casting a warm glow on the faces of those who had gathered to remember the fallen.

Everywhere I looked, I saw grief and sadness etched on their faces. Many of them had lost siblings, friends, and family in the attack, and the pain was evident in their eyes.

As the feast began, the room was filled with the sounds of silverware clinking against plates and the soft murmur of conversations. But even the food seemed to lack its usual flavor, as if the sadness had seeped into every aspect of the celebration.

"My dear students," Dumbledore began, his voice trembling with emotion. "Today we gather not only to mourn the loss of those who fell in the recent tragedy, but also to honor those who gave their lives to protect their fellow students."

The Headmaster proceeded to read out the names of the students who fought valiantly, each name eliciting a somber murmur from the crowd.

"And then there was someone who did something much more extraordinary," the Headmaster continued, his voice rising with pride. "Someone who saved dozens of students, possibly hundreds if he had not faced the oncoming horde. This person risked his own life to protect others, showing courage and selflessness in the face of danger."

At that moment, the Headmaster gestured towards the side of the room where Charles stood, a look of shock and humility on his face. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, their admiration and gratitude for Charles palpable.

With a nod from the Headmaster, Professor Mcgonagall approached Charles and pinned a medal onto his chest. It glinted in the candlelight, a symbol of his bravery and heroism.

The memorial ended with a feeling of unity among the students. We had all lost something in the attack, but in coming together to remember the fallen, we had found strength in each other. The day would forever be remembered as a day of sorrow and loss, but also as a day when the bonds of friendship and community had been strengthened.
