Hogsmeade Weekend

As I was catching up on Potions class, trying to avoid getting another earful from Snape next class, Mikkel put his arm around my neck tightly, causing a bit of discomfort. "Guess who got special permission to go to Hogsmeade weekend?" he exclaimed.

I was surprised by his news and replied, "Wait, how? I thought only third-year students and above could go?"

Mikkel smirked, "Well, I guess some of us have connections. You know my father has a knack for making things happen."

Despite the pain in my neck, I couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of going to Hogsmeade.

As we walked through the Hogwarts castle, a fifth-year Gryffindor girl passed by us. Her long, curly hair flowed down her back, and her emerald green robes complemented her striking eyes. Mikkel couldn't help but look back at her, admiring her beauty.

I noticed Mikkel's gaze and couldn't resist making a comment. "Looks like someone's got their eye on the prize," I said, smirking.

Mikkel playfully punched my arm, trying to hide his embarrassment. "Shut up," he said, laughing.

The two of us continued on our way, joking and teasing each other as we made our way to our next class.

[General POV]

Charles and Mikkel waited eagerly for Lily to arrive so they could make their way to Hogsmeade together. As they scanned the crowd, they noticed a familiar trio approaching. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were making their way towards them, with broomsticks in hand.

"Hey guys!" Lily exclaimed as she joined them, with her friends in tow. "I hope you don't mind if we join you for the ride?"

Charles and Mikkel smiled and shook their heads, happy to have more company. They all mounted their broomsticks and soared into the air, the wind whipping through their hair as they made their way towards Hogsmeade.

As they arrived at Hogsmeade, the group of six students dismounted their broomsticks and looked around, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling village. The shops were filled with curious trinkets and delicious treats, and the aroma of freshly brewed Butterbeer filled the air.

"Where should we go first?" Harry asked, looking around at his friends.

Hermione, always the practical one, suggested they start with the bookshop to get their school supplies. Ron, however, had other ideas.

"Let's go to Honeydukes and get some sweets!" he exclaimed, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

The group laughed and decided to split up for a bit, with Harry, Ron and Mikkel heading to Honeydukes, and Hermione, Lily, and Charles making their way to the bookshop.

"Hey, Hermione," Lily greeted her with a smile. "Find anything good?"

Hermione nodded, her eyes lighting up. "Yes, actually. I found this really interesting book on the history of magic in Egypt. It's called 'The Secret Magic of the Pharaohs'."

Lily's interest was piqued. "Oh, that sounds fascinating. What's it about?"

Hermione flipped through the pages of the book and began to explain. "It's about how the ancient Egyptians used magic in their daily lives, and how their magic influenced modern wizarding practices. It even talks about their magical creatures, like the Sphinx and the Mummies."

Suddenly, screams pierced the air, and the sound of spells being cast echoed through the halls of Hogsmeade. Lily and Hermione looked at each other in fear, their hearts pounding in their chests.

Without hesitation, Charles grabbed his wand from his robes with a piercing gaze.

"Lily, Hermione, stay behind me," he commanded, his voice strong and steady. "I'll protect you."

The girls nodded, feeling a deep sense of admiration for Charles' dependability.

As they made their way outside, they saw a scene of chaos and destruction. People were Apparating out left and right, trying to escape the danger that lurked ahead.

They saw a horde of Acromantula emerging from the Forbidden Forest. The massive colony of spiders began to rampage through the village, causing destruction and chaos everywhere they went.

Lily shuddered in fear as she watched the terrifying sight before her. Hermione, on the other hand, was taking deep breaths and trying to keep her cool, analyzing the situation and thinking of a plan.

The sky above Hogsmeade had turned dark.

'A hex was likely unleashed in the middle of Hogsmeade to either summon or attract the monstrosities,' Charles deduced.

"This is bad. We need to find the others," Charles said urgently. "Hermione, Lily, you two go and find Mikkel and the rest. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and do what I can to save as many people as possible."

Hermione hesitated as she watched Charles disappear into the chaos of the battle.

Lily placed a hand on her shoulder, sensing her reluctance. "Come on, Hermione," she said softly. "We have to find Mikkel and the others. Charles can take care of himself."

Hermione nodded, trying to suppress her fear. "You're right," she said, her voice unsteady. "Let's go."

[Charles POV]

As the Acromantula horde approached, I knew I had to act fast.

"Confringo!" I shouted and watched as the smaller spiders exploded into tiny pieces and the bigger ones caught on fire.

"Bombarda!" I followed it up with a big explosion and watched as the spiders were blasted back, tumbling over each other. But there were too many spiders.

I could see some students being caught in their web, trapped and helpless.

"Diffindo!" I shouted and sliced through the web, freeing the students.

I continued to throw spells, trying to hold back the horde and protect the students. But the spiders were relentless. They were already feasting on some of the students, their fangs sinking into flesh.

I felt a sense of urgency, a need to protect as many as I could.

"Protego!" I shouted as a shield formed around me, protecting me from a sudden venomous spurt attack. I could hear screams and cries all around me, but nevertheless, I ran forward, dodging the large legs that tried to crush me.

"Incendio!" I shouted as I sent a barrage of fiery spells towards the oncoming arachnids. The spiders screeched in pain as the flames consumed them, but more kept coming.

"Sectumsempra!" I shouted, as I focused on one of the largest spiders. The spell hit its target, and its exoskeleton was ripped apart, causing it to let out a deafening screech before falling to the ground, writhing in agony before it could strike one of the students. I spun around, hurling "Bombarda!" at a group of spiders that were already munching on some students. The explosion sent them flying and gave the students a chance to run away.

I kept shouting spells and hexes, using every trick in the book to fight off the spiders. "Stupefy!" I yelled, sending a bolt of red light that knocked out a group of spiders. "Incarcerous!" I shouted, binding a large spider with thick ropes.

But for every spider I took down, two more seemed to take its place. I could feel my energy waning, but I refused to give up. I had to keep fighting.

"Reducto!" I screamed, blasting a hole through a group of spiders. "Protego!" I shouted, erecting a shield as a spider lunged at me.

As I caught my breath, I looked around at the chaos unfolding in Hogsmeade. Spells were being flung left and right, and students were running for their lives. The sound of screams and screeching spiders filled the air.

I felt alone, but I knew that this battle was raging on all over Hogsmeade. The thought of other students, like myself, facing the same horrors filled me with a sense of solidarity and determination.

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the next onslaught of spiders.

Suddenly, I heard familiar voices shouting my name. I turned to see Harry, Ron, Hermione, Mikkel, and Lily running towards me, their broomsticks in hand.

"Charles, come on!" Harry shouted, gesturing for me to join them on their broomsticks.

Without hesitation, I ran towards them and jumped onto the back of Hermione's broomstick. As we flew higher into the sky, we could see the chaos and destruction that the Acromantula horde had wrought upon the village. The buildings were in flames, and there were spider webs everywhere.

"We have to get back to Hogwarts," Ron said, his voice filled with urgency.
