Earned Title?

Given some time to get himself ready, Imuru figured he'll need a plan, so he doesn't get put down mere seconds after the match begins.

“A plan… I'm lost in the shadows… I don't know how he fights,” Imuru thought, resting a hand on his cheek, as he observed Le-va-none.

Unlike the worried Imuru, Le-va-none has a big smile across his face, going about this carefree.

He contemplated a bit how difficult he should make the fight. "So, I'll start off easy, then pick it up, since he'd be all warmed up," Le-va-none thought, giving himself a reassured nod.

Imuru picked himself off the ground mentally ready. A part of him believed he could win. He held his sword with both hands, let out a deep breath, his gaze intense.

“I like that,” Le-va-none thought, commenting on the intensity of Imuru's gaze. “Now respond to this…”

Imuru felt a heavy force on his body, taking slow notice of the same golden aura. Le-va-none raised the palm of his hand with utmost calm, and a second after a gust of wind released from it, slamming Imuru back with tremendous force.

“Uh… This is easy, right?” Le-va-none thought, questioning if he may have started off a bit too strong.

“Okay…” Imuru pushed himself up with his sword, taken completely off guard. “So he can use that too… That's some combination,” He thought.

Imuru rushed up to Le-va-none, and struck the ground with his sword. Le-va-none cleared the dust with another gust of wind.

Working out as he hoped, Imuru maneuvered behind Le-va-none, and performed a sweeping slash. The strike was unable to reach its target, being blocked just inches away by Leva-on.

He admittedly had forgotten about the Lance, and leaped back to get some distance. “It's Leva-on, but, this is different this time around,” He muttered.

Imuru observed Leva-on, trying to find an opening to Le-va-none. He applied force onto his leg, to give more momentum to his leap.

The distance is covered in seconds, as sword and lance meet. Imuru's eyes widened in shock, his hope of getting past Leva-on failed. “I-It's like, it's stuck in place. I-I can't maneuver it o-out of the way…” Imuru thought. He gives one last push, only for him to be flung away in return.

Imuru landed sturdily on his feet. “Didn't even budge.” He brushed two fingers across the face of his sword, a calm expression on his face.

He rested his sword over his shoulder, and launched himself towards the lance. Le-va-none made the conscious decision at the last second to leap from his position, his intuition allowing him to escape a blaze of flames from the collision of the blades.

“Oh, lookie, that's new,” Le-va-none thought, his eyes riveted on the brief flames. Gradually he lowered himself to the ground. “Warmed up? ”

Le-va-none raised his palm to Imuru, a transparent lucent golden aura encased him in an instant. A gust of wind is released from Le-va-none's palm.

Imuru slashed downwards, slicing the gust of wind and splitting the ground. The split traveled in an almost vertical fashion toward an unfazed Le-va-none.

The aftereffect of Imuru's attack is evaded quite effortlessly. Le-va-none's smile grew wide. “The same trick doesn't work twice. Fine, I'll switch up… A bit,” Le-va-none thought. He raised a hand into the air. Simultaneously Leva-on dawned its aura and redirected itself upright.

The entirety of the sky flashed a bright yet brief golden color. Like a hail of rain, fine beams fell from the sky.

The beams wrecked havoc upon the land, turning the once lush vegetative land barren in mere seconds.

Imuru was already completely overwhelmed and lost in the chaos, unable to do much through this attack.

Just as it started, it ended, bringing everything to a stand still.

Le-va-none flew above, to escape the heavy dust. The tree stood firm, and unscathed. “So this is overboard?”

Imuru laid flat on his back, shaking from the experience. He wobbled to his feet, taking heavy breaths. “Oh, goodness,” Imuru muttered, astonished by the destruction around.

The once towering mountains vanished from sight, the land completely leveled. One thing caught his eye, the tree. Standing without a strip of bark.

Le-va-none landed beside Imuru. “Pardon the destruction.”

“Yeah, yeah… It's all fine,” Imuru replied, feeling a cold chin run down his spin. “Sir Le-va-none… What now?”

Le-va-none slowly gazed over the land. “Hm. Yeah, I'll just fix it,” He replied nonchalantly.

Imuru froze in place, Stunned by his unwavering attitude.

Le-va-none snapped his fingers, and just like it never happened, the land instantly reverted back to what it once was.

Imuru breathed a sigh of relief, his surroundings calming him.

Finished with his observation, Eld-onone rested a hand under his chin. A sense of intrigue rising inside of him.

After such a long day, Imuru got the chance to wash up by himself, allowing him to reflect on the day in a positive light. He yawned, exhausted, the bath not doing him any favors.

He leaned his head back, his gaze locked onto the sun. It didn't have an effect on his eyes, something he found weird, but didn't have the strength to ponder on.

At some point he dozed off. Awakening to the fell of a cozy bed. His eyes shot open, once he noticed Le-va-none right beside him. Imuru looked at himself, a sense of embarrassment followed suit. His clothes were nice, but the issue of how they got on troubled him.

He quietly snuck off the bed. He saw his coat on the miniature desk beside the bed and dawned it. Imuru wandered around in search of the entrance, the area around feeling more spacious than before.

A calm voice reached Imuru's ears. It wasn't an echo, it was steady, and directed towards him but he had no clue where it came from. He glanced behind him, his gaze greeted with Eld-onone's.

They shared a brief moment of silence. Imuru, unsure of how to approach a conversation with Eld-onone.

“Imuru,” Eld-onone began, “Would you endorse him in a conversation?” He asked, an eerie smile playing on his lips.

“Y-Yes. Why not,” Imuru replied, unable to hide the nervousness in his voice.

Eld-onone beckoned Imuru to follow him. Slightly cautious Imuru followed along right behind. They entered what seemed to resemble a grand foyer, the glamorous glowing chandelier held Imuru's attention for a second.

They strolled up a few steps, and to Imuru's relief was the entrance, a slit like opening Imuru that presumably is natural, allowed a plethora of sum light to enter.

“Do you remember who you were once?” Eld-onone asked, fidgeting his fingers, knee on hearing Imuru's words.

Imuru brushed his hair behind his ear, his mind trying to process Eld-onone's words. “Imuru… I-” He directed his sights out to the land. “Explains why stuff seems new to me, yet I feel like I already know them.”

“Nothing? Ah, I see. That's good,” Eld-onone remarked, his expression unreadable.

Imuru looked at him perplexed, and wondered if he was trying to be sarcastic with a comment like that.

“The reason for your dilemma is because of Intigis Darkness. A Dark Darkness cast by a woman for her entertainment,” Eld-onone explained. He clenched his fist, and dropped his hand to his side.

“That's why I lost my memories?” Imuru looked up at Eld-onone, his fist clenched. “Can—”

“No—” Eld-onone injected, cutting Imuru off with one stern and blunt word.

Imuru's clenched fist loosened. He stood taken aback by Eld-onone's bluntness.

“Like others, I'll say it to you, she's unlikely to help undo it, if she even can,” Eld-onone ominously replied.

Imuru's head fell low in the wave of sudden disappointment he felt.

“Now then. Will you accept the title of Great Demon Lord?” He fixed his gaze upon Imuru, an eerie smile on his lips, as his eyes narrowed.

“Others r-refused… For a—” Imuru paused and rethought his words carefully, Eld-onone doesn't seem to be asking in this situation and he's much more so looming over Imuru.

He glanced down at Eld-onone's claws, then fixed his gaze to his face. “Yes, of course, why not,” Imuru said cheerfully, a smile playing on his lips, masking his distrust and fear.

Eld-onone redirected his body back towards the opening, allowing Imuru some relief.

“Le-va-none such a contrast… I wonder if he can read my thoughts… D-Doesn't matter, I should just keep quiet.”

Eld-onone head raised up. “He's awake. I'll take my leave.” He dissipated in the darkness with those final words.

Le-va-none hopped out of bed, his first action being to find Imuru. As if he had a radar a

or a tracker on Imuru, he casually strolled his home following in Imuru's footsteps.

He found Imuru sitting in a fetal position. Le-va-none approached silently, and sat beside him, his legs crossed.

“Are you okay?” Le-va-none murmured, a mellifluous tone followed his words. The wind gently brushed past them, whistling along through the silence.

Imuru raised his head, a heaviness in his eyes. “I guess, it doesn't bother me… It's like it never happened.” He lightly smiled and turned his head to Le-va-none.

“Uh…” Le-va-none's heart ached, unable to witness Imuru like this. He wrapped his arms around Imuru, resting him in a gentle embrace.

Imuru exhaled and held his head high. “Thank you,” He murmured, as he stood to his feet. “You've been extremely kind to me.” Imuru blushed, “It got awkward at times… But it's fine.”

Le-va-none Looked at him, the embarrassing moments resurfacing. “Yeah… You would've guessed I'm bad at social cues?”

Imuru chuckled lightly. “Yeah, imagine that,” Imuru played along cheekily. He caressed his cheeks, having a bit of an inner turmoil, unsure of how to ask this question.

“Could I go back?”

Le-va-none's embarrassment faded and was replaced with sadden expression. He shook his head and grabbed a hold of Imuru's hand. “Come on, follow me. Let's discuss this after we eat,” His voice sounded like that of an angel, usually quiet and calm, almost seductive in nature. A behavior that doesn't seem out of place.

Le-va-none brought Imuru to the dining room flooded with a wide range of delicacies. Imuru tilted his head, and pondered if this was supposed to change his mind.

Imuru sat around the table, and began to eat. Wanting to finish up quickly, Hoping to pick up where they left off.

Le-va-none brought Imuru to the dining room, once again creating the food from nothing, leaving Imuru speechless once again.

“Come on, come on, take a seat… right beside me,” Le-va-none suggested patting the chair next to him.

Imuru took the seat given to him.

Le-va-none took his time to pick up his chopsticks and begin to eat gracefully.

Imuru felt a bit uncomfortable saying something, so also chooses to eat, then continue the conversation later.

Sometime later Imuru finished his dish and rested his hand on cheek, waiting patiently for Le-va-none to finish his.

“Uh…” Imuru gazed over the table. “Now that I think about it… he can just make more can't he?”

He leaned back, a sense of intrigue building. ‘Le-va-none. He's extraordinary. You wouldn't want to be on his bad side… And then there's Eld-onone—” He shuddered, the pleasant memory of Eld-onone looming over him resurfaced.

Imuru took a deep breath. “Le—”

“I know, I know,” Le-va-none murmured. He pushed his bowl away, and faced Imuru. “Hey, I'm not gonna keep you here against your will… Unless you want me to—”

“Wait what!?” Imuru blurted out, taken aback by Le-va-none's words.

“Nevermind that. Just promise me you won't be obsessive about getting them back? Because trust me that woman is crazy,” Le-va-none said nonchalantly. Waving his back and forth in a lazy fashion.

Imuru leaned forward. “That woman? You mean the one that did this?” Imuru asked, his voice filled with contempt.

Le-va-none diverted his eyes from Imuru, a bit startled by the tone in his voice.

Imuru slumped and sighed. “Sorry…” Imuru murmured.

“No worries, it's fine,” Le-va-none reassured him.

He stood up and stretched. “I'll visit when I can. It sucks, but my life is bound…” He gazed off, his expression darkened. “I'll deal with that someday,” He muttered.

“Jokes aside, are you positive you want to go back? No offense, but what exactly are you going back for?” Le-va-none probed. His words formed uncertainty in Imuru's mind.

“Me and you co—”

“He'd made his decision, Le-va-none,” The voice of Eld-onone Interjected. The darkness gave a gradual shape to his form.

Le-va-none fist clenched. “Oh, you.” A sheepish smile formed on his lips.

“I heard you had interest in returning to your world?” Eld-onone gazed upon Imuru. “Maybe you'd like to stay?”

“Precisely. Imuru was just getting to that, before you showed up,” Le-va-none replied, putting an arm around Imuru. “Now what do you want!?” He pointed at Eld-onone, lighting him up with a furious gaze.

Le-va-none removed his arm from around Imuru's shoulder and approached Eld-onone.

Eld-onone looked down on this pouting mess in front of him, bemused.

“Now go away. Your very presence is disruptive…” Le-va-none hushed Eld-onone along.

Eld-onone broke eye contact. This sparked Le-va-none's fire. “Excuse me, we—”

Eld-onone pointed out to Le-va-none, that Imuru was no longer in the room.

Le-va-none shook his head, and picked up a bowl of soup. He chucked it at Eld-onone, in a pointless attempt to express himself. The bowl dissipated before it made impact with Eld-onone.

Le-va-none crossed his arms over his chest and walked away, in search of Imuru. The task of finding him was brief as this was his home.

“Back here Oh?” Le-va-none asked, startling Imuru from behind.

Imuru spun around to face Le-va-none, a somewhat surprised expression on his face. “Y-Yeah, the view is great… Sorry, about back there, just though I might give you two some space,” Imuru murmured.

Le-va-none sighed. “I'll allow you to go… Not like I was forcefully keeping you here, are anything.”

The sudden change in attitude took Imuru by surprise. “Really?” Imuru asked, unsure if he just heard Le-va-none correct.

“Uh-huh,” Le-va-none murmured, giving a gentle nod.

Right beside Imuru, a hole is ripped in space, till it enlarges.

A light breath of astonishment escaped Imuru's lips, his eyes riveted on the golden light the portal emitted.

“What's behind it?”

Le-va-none's proud expression almost faded from his face. “I-It's safe…”

“Safe?” Imuru repeated in his thoughts. He stepped through into an immediate free fall. Imuru's mind went blank, unable to correlate any thoughts.

Le-va-none grabbed a hold in time before he hit the ground, taking him for a soft landing.

“Safe…” Imuru muttered, his expression unreadable.

Le-va-none glanced around, taking in his surroundings. “Looks like a village… Or what's left of it.”

Imuru took in his surroundings. “Oh.” Imuru particularly wasn't fazed by what surrounded him.

“This isn't quite ideal… My apologies, just haven't been here often,” Le-va-none murmured.

“It'll do…” Imuru replied, taking a step towards a broken home. He marched into the rubble of broken wood and rock. “Oh.” He reached out and picked up a painting, it had torn and ripped but the individual could be made out, to be a blonde, lean figure. Elegant, but more like the adventurous type, with an awfully large sake barrel.

He dropped the art abruptly. “Mostly wrecked… some are still standing.”

Le-va-none floated his way over to Imuru. “Imu… Ready to move on? I know exactly where the next portal is going, this time around.”

“Hm. I'll stay,” Imuru replied nonchalantly.

“Eh… That's—” Le-va-none's slumped

“Well, just be careful. Close by there are creatures heading here… Maybe.”

“I'll be fine.” Imuru expressed. He tilted his head, something feeling off about Le-va-none. “Are you okay?”

“I am. Just that, I can't stay here for long. Really unfortunate,” Le-va-none replied.

“Hm. Why is that?” Imuru inquired.

Le-va-none sighed. “Stuff… Just balance, blah, blah, blah, stay locked up.”

Imuru couldn't get what Le-va-none was trying to say, so merely chose to agree. “Uh. Okay, gotcha,”

Another portal gradually opened. Le-va-none embraced Imure once more. “I promise I'll return when I can… Please don't disappear,” Le-va-none begged. Subconsciously he shook Imuru softly, his eyes becoming heavy with tears.

“Why would why?” Imuru asked, giving him a reassuring smile.

The softness in Imuru's voice calmed Le-va-none. He wiped his eyes and approached the portal. His eyes remained fixed on him as he entered.

“Why would I?” Imuru pondered briefly. He rested his hands on his hips.

“What an experience?” Imuru thought in a reflective manner for a second. He sighed in relief. As much as staying with Le-va-none would provide safety, everything felt strange and almost entirely different to the world itself. Almost as if it was made to his preference.

He planted himself on the ground. “Is it strange for it to feel this different?” Imuru commented.

"What do I do now... Guess I do have the title of Great Demon Lord. Thanks Eld-onone… not really." Imuru stood up. “Hm, what's even the purpose of it? The others must've rejected it for a reason. I guess he seemed less threatening back then.”

Imuru took a home that's in the best condition possible. He removed the broken glass and strange artifacts from the inside. It was one of the few that seemed to be just deserted, then completely destroyed. He looked around the little rectangular room, the red oak that made it, still looking glamorous at times and nodded. "Alright, now to finish up, I just need some stuff. I'm a weird person. I just feel it."

He chuckled at himself. “Ah. I bet I lived deep in a dungeon at some point in my life. Just imagine that.”

Imuru took a brief look around, mentally mapping out the village's edges. He noted a path that led off into the forest and headed off on it to do a little exploring from his home.

He followed the path, until it gradually got covered in vegetation. “Hm. It didn't really lead anywhere,” Imuru thought. He lifted one leg up and placed it on the vegetation. “Thou shall wander. If I walk in a straight line. Then I should be good.”

He wandered along, ever so often he felt a ground shake. The forest trees were far enough apart to allow light to flood it. He marched along with the wind, in a playful motion, his arms stretched out.

Another shake of ground brought him some confusion, this time around it was much heavier. His eyes wandered around and landed on a horse, the color of its hair a glossy black. Another eye-catching feature was a black jewel amulet presented in a hexagon shape around the horse's neck.

Imuru approached being cautious not to scare it. Close enough, he caressed it. “So calm,” Imuru thought.

An abrupt explosion drew Imuru's attention. The horse got up, and took a decent look at him, before it wandered off, in no hurry.

Curiosity got the best of Imuru as he ran off to the direction of said explosion. He almost ran out into the clearing, barely catching himself, so he could leap behind some shrubs to hide himself.

A Dark Devider armored to the teeth, its iron club in hand, horns curved to face each other. The long straight hair of the beast beated the back of its armor with every swing and its eyes were deep crimson.

The opponent, the Gray Persudo Wolf, stood four feet tall, the fury in its eyes burning as bright as the Dark Devider's.
