Getting Started

ID 0002 8118 9038 POV:

From The Tutorial I barely learned anything, but what I did was crucial. First, there was a tribulation every month, which would grow increasingly more powerful. It was what led to the Auction becoming open. On the other hand, it would bring rewards, the first one was a reward of a month of lifespan, the second tribulation doubles the months, the third triples it, so on the third month a person would earn three months of Lifespan. Second, the Tribulation is where three quarters of all adult monsters are strengthened and will gather to attack the nearest city. Third, God Power was the in game currency. It could be gained by having your race sacrifice items to you. These items were anything from monster corpses to masterwork weapons to live members of other race. Lastly, the creation process was choosing a location, then creating a power system, and race. Naturally there was also some tips, facts and other minor information inside.

I found myself overlooking a planet, a strange planet. It was strangely geometric, with the land being a donut shape with water as the hole. The rest of the planet was water except for an island on the opposite side of the planet, the size of the hole in the donut. I noticed that both the island and donut had little cracks of water running throughout the land, probably forming rivers. I watched as the world grew smaller and smaller becoming nothing more than a globe. I was to pick the start point for my new race. I chose a cave to start my race. The cave was close to the surface, and was large, about 500 metres long, and had an oval shape.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

The Tutorial had a nice bit of information I needed to be careful about. The monsters created followed my power system, but measures had been put in place to ensure that all creatures could gain power at an equal and fair rate. This was to prevent something like Earth from happening, with humans exploiting the animals using their intellect. I forced to live in a medieval age because Apocalypse had to send a stern warning to everyone that there were some rules to be put in place. Unexpectedly, a radical group had formed in the Square. They were a mix of religious and ex-powerful figures that preached that Apocalypse was the devil and to resist the devil’s temptation, the light will save you, etc. Apocalypse quickly exterminated them and set down some basic rules.

No religion

No forming groups in the Square

No threats or violence unless in a combat zone

No gunpowder, nuclear power, electricity or steam engines only medieval stuff

It seemed that Apocalypse did not want anyone using modern knowledge to get ahead. This kept me from creating any modern weapons, but I did not mind. After all, I was a teenager, I was not exactly into modern tech either so this was more helpful than harmful to me. Enough with all this, it is time to design my power system.
